"Oliver, could you help me grab a plate?"
By the frying pan, Olivia Parker spoke lightly.
"Sure."
Oliver Palmer turned to the cabinet, took out a plate, and was about to get up when suddenly the light dimmed. The next moment, the plate was taken from his hand.
"I thought you went to work?"
Kasper Edith reached over with the plate, taking the eggs that Olivia was sliding over.
In an instant, he transformed from a fiery dragon into the gentle and refined Mr. Edith.
After turning off the stove, Olivia set the spatula aside. "A doctor called from the hospital this morning to swap shifts with me, so I'm working the night shift tonight."
Kasper took the large milk cup from her. "But doesn't that mean you'll be working 24 hours straight? Can you handle it?"
"No, it's just that I'll be working night shifts all this week," Olivia explained.
"I see," Kasper nodded gently. "That's okay then."
