Olivia Parker smiled, clutching her little red book as she walked out of the office room, with Kasper Edith hurrying after her.
"Do you have any plans for the afternoon?"
Olivia Parker stuffed the marriage certificate into her bag.
"Work."
"Why not take the afternoon off?"
She stopped in her tracks, turning to look at him.
"Is something up?!"
"I've had Oliver Palmer set up a room for you to take a look at. See if you're satisfied with it. Also, today is Little Montgomery's first day at kindergarten, and if it's convenient for you, would you be able to come with me to pick him up this evening?"
After all, today is their wedding day; they should at least have a meal together to celebrate.
Kasper Edith used Osbert Montgomery as an excuse to avoid making Olivia upset.
"An old patient is coming in for a check-up this afternoon, and I need to be there for a while. What time does Little Montgomery finish school?"
"Four thirty."
