Lucas Walker squatted down in front of her and gently stroked her belly, "I shouldn't have agreed to let you come."
"I promised Phoebe and Julian that I would bring you both back safely. How can a mother not keep her word?" Ivana Bennett smiled and gently caressed his face, "Don't worry, there's still a week until the due date. There's so many ships and a doctor, nothing will happen. How many nautical miles left?"
"One hundred seventy nautical miles."
Ivana turned her face to look out the window.
Outside the window, the cold wind howled and snow flew wildly. She braced herself to get up, and Lucas carefully embraced her waist, helping her to the window.
The ship broke through the ice, unable to move fast. The staff on the deck were carefully observing the ice-breaking situation to prevent collisions or a re-freeze.
