Leng Xiaoxie quickly finished tidying up the kitchen and came back, sitting down beside her. He lazily put his feet on the footstool and picked up his own cup.
"What were you doing there?"
"Don't even mention it!" Memoria Campbell pouted, "I originally wanted to go home, but I ran into a thief on the way. I took him to the police station and missed the last train. My dad is still in Hong Kong and hasn't come back, so it's pointless for me to go home anyway."
Talking about the frustrating things, she reached out for her cup and took a big sip.
"When you're unlucky, even cold water can get stuck in your teeth. I thought about hitching a ride, and the guy thought I was soliciting on the street, asking me how much for the night." Memoria Campbell pouted, sounding indignant, "Two thousand... Am I only worth two thousand? I really wanted to punch him right then!"
Leng Xiaoxie chuckled, "Did you?"
