The footsteps stopped, and Flossie Wright stood still, her expression slightly cold.
Glenn Hutchinson stopped accordingly and glanced at her.
"Switch hands."
Flossie sighed and suggested.
Her expression remained indifferent, but it couldn't hide the hint of compromise.
Glenn Hutchinson looked at her.
A moment later, he curled his lips into a smile.
He released Flossie's hand and then moved to her left side.
He grasped her left hand, gently holding it.
Flossie paused and turned her head to glance at him.
"Let's go."
Glenn Hutchinson smiled softly, with a surprisingly gentle tone.
Flossie then withdrew her gaze.
The two of them, holding hands, walked out of the cafeteria door side by side.
Inside the cafeteria, near the kitchen.
A few cooks stood there.
They stared wide-eyed at the doorway.
The pair walking away slowly, silhouetted against the light as they stepped out of the door, their figure strikingly etched in the sunlight.
