After a long silence, Nathan Leafcastle spoke softly, "I was thinking about inviting Vera and them to dinner one of these days, what do you think?"
Sally Dalton lifted her face, "What do you mean?!"
"These past few days, I've been thinking, maybe what happened to Mom was really just an accident." The man's voice was filled with desolation, "Now, besides you, Vera is the only family I have. I really don't want to lose her too. Can you... can you understand how I feel?"
Sally Dalton nodded gently, "I'll think of a way."

Vera Wave finished her meeting and walked back from the conference room with Archie Perkin and a few others. As soon as she reached the office, Merlin Bradley came up to them.
"Manager Vera, someone is here to see you." Merlin Bradley's expression was a bit odd, "Do you want to call security?"
"Who is it?" Vera asked in confusion.
"It's Chairman Barker's daughter... Sally Dalton," Merlin Bradley said.
