Kris Cooper urgently demanded, "How did she leave?"
"She left in the prison's minibus," the man replied.
Kris Cooper shot out his hand, grabbing the man's arm. "Color? Plate number!"
"White. The plate number... I don't recall it."
Kris Cooper turned and ran out of the door.
"Tommy Taylor, quickly! Get in the car!"
The Mercedes-Benz roared to life, made a U-turn at the prison gate, and sped onto the roadway, racing towards the city.
As their car sped forward, Kris Cooper leaned forward, eyes fixed on the road. Spotting a white minibus in the distance, he immediately commanded, "Chase that car!"
The driver accelerated, overtaking the minibus. Kris Cooper then leaned out of his window, signaling for it to stop.
The minibus driver glanced at them but paid no heed.
