Kris Cooper had only been shut in his room for a night, and by the next morning, he left the house, as tidy as ever.
As anxious parents, Bailey Hansen and Christopher Cooper followed him. They saw him buy breakfast at a restaurant, and then some fruit from a grocery store.
The two followed him to the jail, where they witnessed him carefully wash and pack the fruit into a box, which, along with the breakfast, he handed to the Staff.
"Could you please deliver this to my wife? Also, tell her, if she doesn't eat, I won't eat either!"
The Staff gave him a glance, accepted the items, and went inside.
In the ward, Vera Wave hadn't slept much that night, only dozing off a bit towards dawn. Now completely awake, she had freshened up and was sitting on the bed, lost in thought.
She didn't even turn to look when she heard the Staff come in.
It was only when the Staff put a paper bag on her table that she raised an eyebrow quizzically at him.
"What's this?"
