Vera Wave grasped her light jacket and quickly buttoned up the two loose buttons. She carefully lifted the corner of the blanket, took the pillow, and gingerly placed it in the middle of the bed. Only then did she cautiously crawl to the other side of the king-sized bed and turn off the light.
