"Vera, it's me." On the phone, it's Nathan Leafcastle's voice, "Are you off work?"
Vera Wave looks around and only then notices that the afternoon has swiftly passed, and it's already dark outside. Several colleagues are still working overtime, while others are packing up their computers, ready to leave.
"I'm still working overtime, do you need something?"
"I just wanted to ask if you could take me to see Grandma," Nathan says.
"Oh..." Vera checks her watch, "Okay, I'll pack up and head to the hospital right away."
"Should I pick you up?"
"No need, taking the subway is very convenient for me. You can head straight to Akriel Hospital, I'll be there in about half an hour, and I'll contact you then."
"Alright."
After hanging up, Vera gathers the printed materials and holds them in her arms, grabbing her phone from the table and tucking it into her backpack, then hurriedly heads downstairs.
