Manager Wang led her all the way into the CEO Office. Tommy Taylor, who was sitting at the desk outside Kris Cooper's office, immediately stood up and pushed open the door to the CEO's inner office.
"Miss Wave, please come in!"
"Assistant Taylor." Vera glanced at the open door. "Are you... mistaken?"
"No, I'm not!" Tommy raised a hand in an inviting gesture. "From now on, you'll be working in there!"
In there?! Vera's eyes widened. This was Kris Cooper's office. Surely, she wouldn't be expected to spend all her working hours with him, would she?
"Well, Assistant Taylor, I'll leave her in your hands now." Manager Wang patted Vera's shoulder. "Work hard, and if there's anything you need, feel free to ask."
"Oh, thank you."
Vera thanked him. Looking at the open door, she braced herself and walked in. Kris Cooper was not in the office.
"Mr. Cooper is in a meeting and won't be back for a while," Tommy explained.
