So, Vera reached up and grabbed his tie, giving it a gentle shake.
"Brother Kris, could you please forgive me this time? I promise I won't overcharge you ever again, okay?"
By the end of her plea, she bit her lip and looked up at him carefully, her big eyes blinking as she tried to appear pitiful and charming.

Kris looked down at the petite face that was testing his resolve, gritting his teeth.

He had thought the little brat was starting to like him, and that was why she was being so nice. He never suspected her mind was only filled with money, and that she didn't care about him in the slightest.
She was a heartless little thing. He needed to teach her a lesson, or who knew what mischief she'd cook up next.
