Nia Mitchell felt a wave of exasperation wash over her. She desperately needed some peace and quiet, preferably a period of quiet where she wouldn't see the shadow of a certain CEO.
"Get out, I want to sleep!"
Nia Mitchell flopped down, pulling the blanket over her head.
"That doesn't look comfortable."
Maxwell Peary frowned. How could she be comfortable sleeping fully dressed?
"You should take a shower and change your clothes before sleeping," the CEO ordered.
Nia Mitchell's lip twitched. She ignored him completely and pretended to be asleep.
She wouldn't take a shower. She wouldn't change her clothes. She was going to sleep just like this.
Maxwell Peary tried to lift the blanket but failed. Eventually, he gave up.
"Nia Mitchell, if you don't take a shower, I'll go down and throw away the two bags of snacks in your car!"
Half a second later—
Nia Mitchell threw off the blanket and, without even putting on her shoes, bolted for the bathroom.
