Alan Morgan tapped at the pink box in his hand.
"Aren't you attending the banquet tomorrow? The CEO asked me to get an evening gown tailored for you, so I've brought it to you today."
He was a bit late because he had discussed something with Shirley Grant after work. He had originally intended to deliver it before dark.
Nia Mitchell stepped aside to let him in, feeling a touch of warmth in her heart.
"Sister-in-law, where's the CEO?"
Only when Alan entered the Living Room did he realize that the large space was empty. Nia had come to the door so quickly, which meant she must have been in the Living Room just moments before. How rare. His sister-in-law is in the Living Room, yet the Boss isn't here fawning over her, he thought.
"He's in the study. If you need anything, go find him there," Nia said.
After saying this, Nia Mitchell sat cross-legged on the sofa again, pouting.
Alan Morgan raised an eyebrow. Oh? Have they quarreled?
