Maxwell Peary stroked Nia Mitchell's hair, his eyes full of indulgence.
"You have a banquet to attend this Saturday, and you're meeting your mother-in-law on Sunday. Have you forgotten?"
Nia paused, only now remembering her next two days were fully booked.
The mention of meeting her mother-in-law made Nia suddenly recall what had happened previously.
Would she... have to leave here soon? Leave Uncle Peary?
With this thought, Nia's mood plummeted, and her smile gradually faded.

"Let's go out for a walk to clear our minds. Dinner will be ready soon," Maxwell Peary suggested. He remembered Bunny saying that if she ate too much now, she wouldn't have room for dinner.
