Chapter Five
She swallowed the bitter drink, unable to muster a smile.
Just then, her phone vibrated.
It was a picture...
She opened it to find a bloody head, and it was her own.
"Ah!"
Frightened, she immediately dropped the phone and stood up in panic, drawing attention from others.
Feeling embarrassed, Lucy Greene realized it was just a picture and quickly picked up the phone, but immediately received a message.
"Lucy Greene, I will make you repay our debt sooner or later."
Though the message was unsigned, she knew it sounded like Regina Brown.
The stone that hit her surprisingly didn't kill her...
Didn't the police catch her?
Thinking that she might still be out there, Lucy Greene started to feel uneasy.
Her face turned pale, and her hands couldn't stop trembling. When she looked up, she met the smiling eyes of Harry Greene.
He was watching her leisurely, seemingly enjoying her nervous state.
Lucy's heart sank. Could he be involved in this?
