The deep, rich, magnetic voice felt electrified, as if a current was passing through her heart even from a distance.
In those few seconds of waiting, both were filled with a joyful thrill.
The kind of joy that subconsciously lifts the corners of your mouth.
Sofia Hamilton sweetly curled her lips, "What do you think, oh wise Boss Ryan?"
"Based on my judgment, I assume so. Did I get it right, Mrs. Gregory?"
"Hmm, absolutely correct."
She admitted openly, then asked again, "So, are you coming back tomorrow?"
"Tomorrow..."
"Mr. Gregory, everyone is waiting for you,"
The new assistant's voice interrupted Ryan Gregory's reply, also letting Sofia hear that he was busy with work.
She didn't want to delay his work or leave a bad impression on everyone.
"Then hurry and get to work."
She hurriedly said, and once she hung up the phone, she was left alone facing the emptiness of the room again.
Suddenly feeling a bit thirsty,
she wanted to go downstairs for some water...
