Chapter Three
Unless, when the door opens, it's not him who comes out.
She banged on the door. The more it didn't open, the more suspicious it seemed.
Nathan Morgan glanced nervously at Ryan Gregory. "Mr. Gregory, what should we do?"
Ryan Gregory extinguished the cigarette in his hand, walked over, and opened the door.
Nathan tried to stop him but it was already too late.
Seeing Sofia Hamilton standing at the doorway, Nathan smiled awkwardly and rubbed his nose. "Well, I have some things to handle, you two talk."
With that, he hurriedly slipped away.
For a moment, it was just her and him.
Their eyes met, neither saying a word.
Sofia Hamilton admitted that the moment she saw him, her emotions surged like waves.
There was happiness, but also melancholy.
But mostly, she wanted to ask why…
To ask the reasons behind his actions, whether it was the answer she hoped for.
Sofia pretended to stay calm and asked faintly, "Why are you here?"
"You should know why."
