Jimmy Horne thought for a moment, shook his head, and said, "Let's go shopping and buy things, okay?"
Jimmy Horne remembered all the tempting promises Noah Reyes had just made and wanted him to fulfill every single one.
"Okay." Noah Reyes agreed without a second thought.
Seeing his son's little face flush red with happiness, Noah Reyes smiled and asked, "Billy, are you happy?" After his son nodded, he continued with anticipation, "Billy, could you call me 'daddy'?"
"Uncle, but you're not my daddy," Jimmy Horne said, blinking at Noah Reyes.
No matter how much he liked this Uncle, since Mommy said he wasn't his daddy, then he wasn't his daddy. That meant he couldn't call him that.
"I could be your daddy, Billy. Could you call me 'daddy,' please? Didn't you say you wanted me to be your godfather? A godfather is a kind of daddy too. You call me 'daddy' first, then I'll go find your Mommy and tell her I want to be your godfather, okay?" Noah Reyes coaxed.
