We are at Club Midnight, I'm talking to those people that my friends can't see. I ask them why can I see them and others can't. They told me that is was strange and they would have to look into it.
They introduced themselves. The first one said his name is Gunnar Hakan. He has black hair and eyes. He looks kind, time will tell. The next to introduced themselves was Alex Arkyn. Alex was the typical surfer hottie, with blond hair and blue eyes. The last one was Baler Aesir. He was kind of stand offish. He had stormy blue eyes and black hair with blond tips. Then I told them my name. Arura Reine Maëlle. They all had a weird look on there faces after I said my name. I wonder why.
The boys told me they had to go, but they would get ahold of me. We exchanged contact information then they almost ran out of the club. I went back to my friends, I told them there was a long line for the bathroom. They laughed and said alway is. We had a great night dancing and drinking. We went home at 10pm because I had to watch the twins and pay the babysitter. I went to bed at 11pm. The next day I woke up refreshed and ready to face the hard times ahead.
The twins and I had a lazy Sunday. We watched movies and ate junk food it was definitely a needed break for us all. I told the twins to get ready for bed at 7pm. They had school the next day. They officially start their new classes tomorrow. They had off all week due to what happened when we left the school last time. The school add more security to the outside and inside of the school so this thing doesn't happen again hopefully.
Monday morning 6am, I get the twins up have them eat breakfast and take them to school. I tell the bodyguards to make sure nothing and I mean nothing happens to Liliy and Luke or heads will roll. They assure me that they can handle it and will see me at 3pm when school gets out. If anything happens they are to call me immediately.
Off to work for me. I went over some contracts and fixed the mistakes that would have cost millions if not fixed. I replied to some emails about upcoming meetings and misulaneous things.
Then I received a phone call from Gunnar asking if I was free to meet him after school. I had a shocked expression and my mouth just dropped opened I haven't been to school in 3 years! Looks like someone didn't do any research. A simple Google search of my name would have popped up at leat a 100 article if not more. I told Gunnar I would be free around 4. He asked if I could meet him at a burger joint not far from the club? I said sure what time, he said how about 4:30? I said it's a date. We get off the phone after asking how's your day. I told him I had to eat lunch, so he let me go.
I have a date my very fist one ever! I'm so excited I can't wait. Now to call the babysitter and finish my work. I get the twins from schoolat 2:58pm. We get home at 3:15pm. I make dinner and frshen up. Then I tell the kids I'm going out and Britney will be staying in the house with them till I get home. I give them kisses and say be good I love you.
Then I go to Burger World that's 30 minutes away. I arrive 5 mins before 4:30. Gunnar is already waiting for me. I like the fact that he punctual. He looks me up and down and smiles. He says I look very nice, he just got here a few minutes ago and our table is ready. I'm so glad I ware a summer dress that's not showy and light makeup. I tell him he doesn't look have bad himself. His ears turned a little red on the very tips. Aw so cute! We get to the table and I see Alex and Baler. So much for me thinking it was a date more like a gathering. I later found out is was an integration more than anything owell. We sit with Alex and Baler.
We all say hi then Baler jumps right into questioning me about my background. Who were my parents, grandparents, have I always lived here, do I have anymore family and so may more. I reply my moms name was Ema Dione and my dad's name was Addem Maëlle. My grandpas name was Logan Maëlle, grandmas name was Fraya Putrie. My mom and dad died when I was 12 and my grandparents just recently died a few weeks ago. Yes I have lived in the same house my whole life. Yes I have 2 siblings Liliy and Luke, no other family that I am aware of. I asked why all the questions? They responded with "You might not be aware but you could be from a lost line of royalty." I look at them like they are pulling my leg. They look at me like they are completely serious. I said "what the hell are you talking about? I'm a USA citizen. I have never been out of the state". Alex said "what about your grandparents? ". I had to think about it for a little. I replied "they lived in France till something happened I'm not sure what but they moved to the USA shortly after grandma married grandpa". Baler said "that's because your grandpa was the prince of the carithan's. Next in line to be king till he married your grandma." Then Gunnar said " your grandma was the next high mage. Which is the same as being a queen or king". At this point my mind is beyond blown. I tell them "there is no way what you are saying is true. My grandparents are not magical at all. I have never seen them do magic or anything even remotely close. I mean the closed they have come is finding lost things around the house. This is a lot to take in," I tell them "I might need a minute".
I look back at some of my weird memories that didn't make sense but if you add magic it suddenly all works out, like this one time I got lost in the woods I was 8 at the time. Grandpa just appeared out of no where picked me up and took me back home. Or the time grandma knew I was sick and came over with some pills, said a few words in another language and after that I was better the next day. You know I've never been really sick other than that time. I think I was 5. All I remember is being really sick. I was lost in thought for a while so long that the boys were waving there hands in front of me when I came back to myself.
The boys then gave me some more shocking new that I didn't even think about. They said that would have made my dad King of both the Carithans and the Mages. They also think my mom was a royal but were not sure of what at that point. So not only am I Carithan and a Mage but one more that they are unsure of. Oh boy what's next?
Alex then tells me I have to change schools because I have powers that need training. I said "how do you know I have powers?" Alex gives me a knowing look like you think we are stupid? He said "your hair and eyes have changed color. In our society that means you have powers". Well shitaki mushrooms I thought i was special and unique guess not. They tell me I have to go to misfit academy. I don't like the way that sounds. Baler tells me it's just an academe they put new people who don't know how to use powers or people who they are unsure will get powers. I tried to tell them that I have already graduated collage with dual doctoral degrees but they didn't let me finish and said I had no choice in the matter. I start school tomorrow. I ask about Luke and Liliy. They said they could stay in the same school till they turn 13 because that's when we come into our powers. I guess I'm off to school.
