Breydar's plan was simple yet effective. He realized that he couldn't defeat two Viscounts and three Barons on his own, even though he was a Viscount himself.
But if he could wear down Raoha, Luaxa, and the others, he might have a slim chance of victory.
What would happen if a K4-Phantom, the leading candidate to become the next Second-Rank Phantom, joined his opponents?
Well, Breydar hadn't considered that possibility. He didn't know that a Phantom was hunting him. But if that were the case, he wouldn't stand a chance. In that case, he would have had six opponents, three of whom would have been on his level.
It would have been a quick death and inevitable failure.
Or… Would things have turned out differently?
"Who…?" Breydar took a step back, touching the rock. "Who the hell are you?"
Adam gave him a long look.
"Come on, Breydar, you must know. Unlike many other monsters, you've been quite active in trying to get stronger in the years leading up to the World Wipe."
