When a person first became a Phantom and gained enough strength to punch through a steel wall with his fist, that person began to think that nothing in the world could harm him anymore, not lightning, not fire, not explosions.
This was true, but only as long as a Phantom remained in the territories near the Citadel, where the energy density was insufficient for ordinary materials to be strong enough.
For Adam, this was nothing new. He knew that if an opponent threw him against a wall, it would hurt or even injure him. These were the general rules in the Tarnished and other lands, especially in its remote regions.
But what Adam wasn't prepared for was that ordinary monsters were capable of using their aura at a very high level.
Their skill was high enough to essentially disable Adam's flight.
Crack!
The ruins collapsed as Adam fell along with the debris straight down.
His eyes darted from side to side as his expression grew more serious.
