For one to understand what chances they had against their opponent, they had to see their enemy in battle. This was the best indicator of a person's abilities, far more accurate and expressive than the simple power of an aura.
Fortunately or not, Adam and Alexia got that opportunity thanks to the ice worm deciding to intervene in the battle and, as a result, devouring Vaarh, or rather, attempting to do so.
But there were no satisfied smiles on their faces, only shocked expressions.
The monster they had defeated together at the very beginning was not just killed, but destroyed by Vaarh in just one attack.
Adam was not sure he could have achieved the same result even if he had used all his trump cards against the ice worm. Alexia was in the same situation.
