"Today, we'll be conduction a class on rescue operations." Aizawa announced, and the class cheered out.
"Alright! Rescue work, that's what being a hero is about!"
"Hopefully I'll get to show off my water skills, kero!"
"Oh hell yeah, I'm so pumped for this!"
"As I was saying," Aizawa glared, cutting the students off. "Wearing your hero uniform is optional today, as you likely aren't used to them yet so they may hinder you. I don't really care which you choose." He explained, letting the shelves open up. "We're going to an off-campus site today, so if you're not changed and at the bus park in 10 minute you will be missing the class."
Izuku got up with determination. Rescue work, the next step in his dream of being the next symbol of peace.
Making his way to the bus, Izuku unclipped his mask and let it hang at his neck. It was the only piece of his costume left.
"Hey Mido, why you in your gym uniform?" Uraraka asked, walking up next to him.
"O-oh, well the rest of my costume was completely wrecked." Izuku chuckled, embarrassed. "Got my mask though!"
"Alright everyone! Now that we're all here let's gather doing!" Iida clapped, getting everyone's attention. "To uphold the image of UA, and deter any unnecessary squabble, let us line up in our seating order and then we can enter the bus that way!"
"Iida, I'm sure that's not necessary," Yaoyorozu interrupted.
"Quit the chitchat, get on." Aizawa called out. No one noticed him pull up in the bus.
Iida stood on first, proudly leading his class into the bus. His face quickly fell, however, when he noticed the open layout of the bus.
"B-but…" he gawked.
Ashido snickered as she walked past him, followed quickly by Kirishima who called "sorry, man. Maybe next time!"
"Come on, Iida, you can sit next to me." Izuku winced, gesturing for the taller boy to follow along. He knew how bad it could feel making a fool of oneself like that. Izuku ended up sitting in one of the middle seats in a row of four that faced sideways. To his right was Asui, and to his left was Iida and kirishima next to him. Across from them from left to right was Ashido, Sato, Aoyama and Kaminari.
As the bus left, the chatter started to pick up. Izuku thought it was going quite pleasantly until Asui turned to him.
"You know Midoriya," she started, "I usually tend to say what's on my mind, and I've been wondering… that strength enhancer of yours, is it All-Mights?"
"HUH!" Izuku helped out. "W-w-w-what d-do, what-what do you mean?" He had started panicking. Of course, somewhere in his brain he knew she thought he'd just copied the power, but the larger part of him panicked that she somehow knew he had gained the hero's actual quirk.
"Now I'm not sure about that," Sato chimed in, interrupting Izuku's thoughts. "Sure, it's good, but it's not ALL-MIGHT level!"
"Maybe not yet, but the intensity reminds me of All-Might." Asui stated.
"Alas, Midoriya once told me that once he copies a quirk, they start out at the same level as someone that's never used it before. Of course it would not be the same level as a top pro hero!" Iida informed them.
"Yeah, and you guys didn't see him in the entrance exam!" Kirishima yelled out. "Thanks to his punch, that giant Zero-Pointer became mulch, even if he did end up destroying his arm."
"U-u-uh, w-w-well I'm n-not to s-sure w-who I g-got I-it from?" Izuku said, hoping the lie wasn't too obvious.
"Fair, either way you'd make it far with that strength alone!" Kirishima said, reaching over to pat Izuku's shoulder, who appreciated the gesture but got real worried at how close he got to his exposed neck. "Seriously, I'd kill for a simple strength enhancer, my hardening is good and all, but it's not all that flashy." He sighed, stretching out his hand then letting it harden to show off.
"What, are you kidding?" Izuku asked. "That's a super quirk for a pro hero to have, you have so much potential!"
"Let us not forget," Aoyama interrupted. "That a large part of the profession is popularity. You need to have flashiness and power to back you up, I believe my naval laser is just that!" He smirked out, almost glistening.
"Maybe, but it's not all that useful if you get a tummy ache." Ashido pouted, patting his back. Aoyama responded by giving her a half-hearted glare.
"Hey, if we wanna talk about power, then let's not forget Bakugo and Todoroki!" Mina pointed out, pointing to the two. Bakugo was sitting in his gym uniform, looking bored while staring out the window with Jiro next to him. Todoroki was sat behind him, facing forwards with his neutrals glare.
"Maybe so," Asui started, "but with his short temper, I doubt Bakugo will make it far."
Bakugo shifted his eyes to face her, shifting to a glare. "Please, frog face. I'll be the strongest hero around!"
"You might be strong, but from the moment we met you've made it real clear that your personality is flaming garbage!" Kaminari chuckled out. "You're worse than endeavour!"
"THAT'S IT!" Bakugo screamed out, standing up and gripping onto the rails. "I'll fucking kill you!"
"This is so vulgar!" Yaoyorozu whined out, listening to the students yelling at each other.
"Maybe, but it's fun!" Uraraka cheered from next to her.
"All of you shut up. We're here, get off." Aizawa called out as the bus came to a stop.
As they entered the giant dome, Izuku couldn't help but wonder how they could afford so many extravagant training sites. As the students looked over into the centre of the building, they noticed a central area with a fountain, with multiple different walled off terrains surrounding it.
"Woah, it's like a theme park!" Hagakure gasped out.
"Floods, landslides, raging inferno, and more!" A voice called out to the students, pulling their attention to the figure the voice called from. "This is a specialised training site I designed to simulate all sorts of disasters."
The source of the voice was a figure wearing a hero uniform designed to look like a space suit, though if Izuku looked closely it looked like extremely puffy clothing. Their helmet was a heavy looking helmet with a black dome for them to look out of with large white ovals to look like friendly eyes on it. Their helmet had a voice modulator in it which made it had to guess their gender from it. What pulled Izuku in most was the hero's boots, which looked strangely familiar to him.
"Welcome students, to the Unforeseen Simulation Joint, or U.S.J. for short!" Izuku thinks for a second that he saw the hero look in his direction and wave.
"Oh my god it's the space hero: No. 13!" Izuku calls out.
"I can't believe it, 13 is the top ranked disaster relief hero in all of Japan!" Uraraka squeals out from beside him. "They're my favourite hero!"
"It looks like Midoriya has finally met his match." Ashido quietly snickered to Hagakure
"It's good to see I have some fans!" 13 said, smile evident in their modulated voice. Before they could say anything else, Aizawa pulled them away from the students.
"Where's Yagi? He was meant to meet us here." He sighed out, looking back at the students.
"Sorry, Aizawa. I was informed that he ran out of time commuting in." 13 told him, subtly holding up three fingers.
"Great." He sighed out. "At least he didn't blow this off for an interview or something, he's completely irrational."
Using his newly enhanced senses, Izuku managed to listen in on the conversation between teachers. It was hard to hear through the loud chatters of his peers, but he could just make it out. It made Izuku think that he should make sure that he learns to focus on certain sounds or subjects.
Hearing that Toshi had ran out of time was upsetting, but he remembered reading about the hero's escapades, so he couldn't blame him. What kind of hero wouldn't help someone if they were able to, so Izuku was proud of that. He was looking forward to showing off his rescue skills to his mentor, however. Izuku just hoped that he'd get another chance soon.
"Alright kids, listen up." Aizawa called out as the two teachers walked back to the students.
"Hi everyone, before we start I have just a couple things I'd like to go over!" Thirteen chirped out. "Or three… or four! Oh, and then there's also the thing about- uh never mind that!"
"I'm certain you're all aware of my quirk, black hole, and what it does?" They asked out. "No matter what it is, and material will be turned to dust by my vortex."
"Of course!" Izuku cheered out, his head shaking as fast as Uraraka's. "It's the perfect quirk for removing debris from disaster sites to save injured people!"
"Correct. It's also, however, an incredibly dangerous quirk that can easily be used to harm another." They added, bringing in a sombre tone. "I'm sure that most of you have dangerous quirks in that sense."
Izuku looked down, thinking about his own quirk. Not only his birth quirk 'Divinity' which is dangerously similar to 13's, the other quirks he possesses can be dangerous too. Even just the fact that he could copy and use an unknown quirk could be lethal.
"Of course, because of that danger quirks are strictly regulated and their use strictly managed. You all possess a quirk that can quickly go awry, one small step is it takes to end a life!" 13 lectured, making sure that there was no joking about this. "During Aizawa's quirk exam you all learned the limits of your quirks, and in All-Might's battle trials you leaned how to use your quirks against others, and the danger that comes along with it! Today, I'll be showing you how to use your quirks and skills to save lives. Your quirks exist to help others, and teaching you that is my passion!"
"That was great!" Uraraka cheered.
"Oh my god I know!" Izuku agreed, ignoring Bakugo's scoff at the hero's speech.
"Now students, today we'll be-" thirteen was cut off by a loud surging noise as the lights in the building switched off. Aizawa looked around to see what was happening, and saw a purple dot appear near the fountain. The class followed his eyes and saw the dot swirl and grow in size until it became massive, and people started walking through.
"Uh, has class started, I thought it was disaster training?" Kirishima asked.
"Everyone stay back!" Aizawa yelled out," those are real villains."
"What! How did villains get in?" Ashido asked, grabbing onto Kirishima.
Izuku took a step forward, looking down as the villains poured through the portal in droves. As it started to slow, Izuku noticed a couple of figures standing next to the portal as the villains ran past them. The first was a slender figure, in a simple long-sleeved T-shirt and jeans. He had blue shaggy hair, not dissimilar to Izuku's own. What irked him about the villain though, was that along the boys arms and neck were a collection of severed hands, with one final hand covering his face.
The second one was a giant dark coloured figure that hulled over the rest. It only wore a pair of tattered shorts, and seemingly had a bird mutation if the beak it had was anything to go by. What's worse was the figure had his brain exposed since the top of its head was missing. Using his enhanced eyes, Izuku noticed that the figures eyes were connected directly to its brain, and it's eyes looked so… empty.
After the final villains came through the portal, it began to flicker again, swirling and shrinking until it became the size of a person. The purple mist gained 2 yellow eyes, before waistcoat and trousers appeared; the villains clothing he presumed.
"Hmm, it appears we have 13, and Eraserhead." Izuku heard the mist person say. "I thought the curriculum said All-Might was supposed to be here."
"He was!" The blue haired villain growled, before starting to scratch his neck. "He doesn't show, and after I've brought all these friends for him to see. Maybe we should give him some incentive to come play… we could send him some of those kids' heads in a box!"
Izuku took a step back after hearing what the villain said. Were they serious? Were they really going to kill the students to get at Toshi?
"You heard that too?" He heard Jiro ask him. He looked over and nervously shook his head.
"Excuse me, why aren't any alarms going off?" Yaoyorozu asked, starting to shake her knees.
"I'm unsure. We have many set up, but…" 13 started, looking down at the villains.
"Is it possible they're attacking the entire campus, or do you think this is the only area?" Todoroki asked, taking a step forwards. "They must have a villain with a quirk that's interrupting the signal."
"To attack an isolated location while a class is going on," Iida started. "They must have some objective?"
"T-t-t-to a-a-attack A-All-M-Might!" Izuku yelped out.
" 1 3! Protect the kids and evacuate, Kaminari you need to try contact the school with your radio!" Aizawa instructed, pulling up his goggles.
"Aizawa, There's too many of them!" Izuku yelled out, stopping his teacher from heading down. "Your battle style relies on hit-and-run ambush tactics!"
"You need to have more faith in me kid," the hero called out, turning back towards him. "Any hero worth their salt isn't a one trick pony!"
With that, Eraserhead launched down the staircase to the villains.
"Firing squad, go!" One villain yelled. Behind him a group of villains stepped forwards all in different poses. They started trying to use their quirks but stopped. One of them, a villain with metal tubes on the end of his fingers yelled "what the shit, why aren't our quirks Wor-"
He was cut off by Eraserhead capture scarf twisting round his chest, before he was pulled towards the hero who kicked him in the side of the head. He then caught another villain in his scarf, throwing them on top of another villain.
"You idiots!" Another villain screamed. "Don't you know who that is? He can erase our quirks' abilities just by looking at us!"
"Really?" A voice behind the villain asked. A larger man with four arms made of stone marched forwards. "Can he erase mutant types like me?"
"Nope," Aizawa replied, getting in close. "It only works on emitter and transformation types." He punched the villain in the face. The villain took a step back before throwing a punch of his own, that Aizawa quickly ducked over.
"Thankfully, you lot tend to go for simple overwhelming close combat." He said, wrapping his scarf round the villains extended arms. He pulled down, causing the villain to crash to the ground, before standing on his arms. "So I've figured out how to counter it!"
"Oh my god, Aizawa's one vs group capabilities are incredible!" Izuku squealed out as he studied the battle below.
"Midoriya, this is no time for your analysis!" Iida remarked, pulling him away from the ledge by his sleeve. "We need to leave!"
"I'm sorry, but I cannot allow that." A deep voice spoke from the exit. Izuku looked over and saw the mist man from the battle swirl into existence in front of the class.
"Greetings, we are the league of villains. I apologise for the sudden arrival, but we decided to let ourselves into your haven of justice in order to bring upon the death of your symbol of peace."
"I believe he was meant to be attending today, was there a change in schedule?" The villain asked. "Well, I suppose it matters not to me. I have other duties." He spoke, starting to grow in size. 13 started activating their quirk, but before they could attack Bakugo and Kirishima charged in front of them, swiping at the villain.
"DIE YOU VI-" Bakugo managed to yell out before both he and Kirishima were swallowed by the warping mist.
"Well, that was close." The villain sighed. "I forgot that even if you are children, you are the best of the best. In that case I will leave you scattered to be killed off!" He exclaimed, before trying to envelop the students.
Izuku managed to act quickly, activating 'Divinity' and sucking in the mist that tried to envelope him. After a few moments the mist receded, and Izuku turned off his quirk, looking around to see who was left.
Near him was 13, who he presumed also used her quirk to escape the mist, there was also Ashido, Sero, Sato, Shoji, Uraraka and Iida. That meant that everyone else had been warped to somewhere.
"Is everyone ok?" He called out.
Iida whispered something to Shoji before responding. "Yes, we all seem to be alright, and shoji is searching for our classmates.
"I can see most of them in different zones," Shoji chimed in, two of his arms changed into an ear and an eye respectively. "I'm presuming the ones I can't see are in the domed zones. Everyone is still in the site!"
"Ok that's… that could be worse," Izuku murmured out.
"W-what do we do now?" Ashido asked.
"We need someone to get back to campus, they need to know what's going on!" 13 called out as they looked to ensure no villains were climbing the stairs to approach them.
"Iida, you're the fastest here!" Sero pointed out.
"Wha- I-I can't leave you all, I refuse to abandon you!" He refused.
"Class representative," thirteen spoke. "I need you to reach the main campus. We need the staffs aid, or else we'll be overrun. Only you can get reinforcements to save us!"
Iida paused of a moment, deliberating on what to do. His honour and belief made it hard to accept leaving his classmates and teachers behind while he ran free. It had been instilled in him to never leave someone behind, but now he was being asked to do exactly that.
"Iida please," Izuku said, putting his hand on the boy's shoulder. "You're the only person that can do this, our lives are in your hands. Do what you do best and go fast. The faster you go the quicker you can get back with the teachers!"
"As amusing as this has been to watch," the smooth voice of the mist man appeared, making the students turn back to see him grown in size. "I'm afraid I can't allow any of you to leave. Don't you know it's foolish to discuss your plan in front of the enemy?"
Suddenly the mist started shooting towards the students. They braced themselves for impact before the mist started receding. Izuku looked in the direction it was going to, to see 13 with their finger caps open, sucking up the mist.
"I won't allow you to harm any of my students. It's doesn't matter if you heard as you cant stop it!" They called, opening another cap to increase the pull of their quirk.
"At yes, 13. A rescue hero are you not?" The mist man said, trying to pull himself back. "You do commendable work; however, your battle experience leaves much to be desired." He called, before opening a portal behind the hero.
Izuku could tell immediately what was going to happen, and he knew only he could do something to stop it. As the portal started using 13's own quirk against them, shredding their costume, Izuku lifted a hand of his own. He activated 'Divinity' and let it suck in the mist that created the portal. He wasn't fast enough, however, as 13 fell to the ground,
"13!" Uraraka cried, running to the hero to help them up.
"Midoriya don't let up!" Shoji yelled, before turning to Iida. "Iida, they told to you to run! We'll keep the villain distracted!"
After moments pause, "…alright. Stay safe everyone, I will be back!" He yelled, shooting off towards the door.
"I already said I wouldn't allow you to leave!" The mist roared, creating a massive portal with no way for Iida escaped. He cursed himself for failing his classmates and friends, before the portal started pulling away.
"Iida go! We have your back." Izuku yelled, stepping closer to pull it away. With the chance created, Iida shot forward, kicking the door open and racing down the street.
"Shit," the mist man sighed, while struggling to not be sucked in by Izuku. "You're a bit too much of a problem, boy."
"I won't let you hurt my friends!" Izuku stood his ground, stepping forward so that he was next to Uraraka and Ashido who were looking after 13.
"Y… you're doing good… Izu," 13 weakly breathed out, before falling unconscious.
"Well I think I know what will get rid of you." the voice smirked, opening a portal in front of Izuku. Before the boy could react, a huge black fist shot out of it. Izuku only just managed to activate his 'big fists' to catch it before the punch struck him, sending him flying into the USJ.
"MIDO!"
In the centre of one of the many ruined buildings of the ruins zone, Bakugo stood on top of a beaten villain.
"You weak piece of shit!" He yelled, knocking the villain out. He looked around at all the beaten villains, and Kirishima beating his final villain too. It pissed him off. Why the fuck was he stuck fighting some weak 2-bit extras. He should be in the plaza fighting the leaders, at least they'll hopefully put up a fight.
"Damn man, you sure know how to pack a punch, you took them down fast!" Kirishima cheered, walking over.
"Nah, they weren't even worth putting effort into. Even the invisible bitch or that freak Deku could take these guys down." Bakugo scoffed.
"You know, you put up a tough exterior. But it sounds kinda like you have faith in our classmates." Kirishima smiled, bumping his elbow into Bakugo. "Who knew you were a big softy."
"SHUT THE HELL UP YOU SHITTY HAIRED FUCK!" Bakugo screeched, grabbing at a villain who jumped out to attack him, smashing his face into the ground. "I'm taking that misty fucker down!"
In the planes of the landslide zone, the groups of villains there ready to take down the students instead found themselves blasted with a cold gust, then frozen.
"And here I was thinking you were hoping to overwhelm your opponents with numbers and firepower. Yet a single student took you all out." Their heads all turned the best they could. Walking towards them was Todoroki, his right side misting up with frost.
"If you stay stuck in that ice, by the time someone comes to collect you all you'll have been killed by hypothermia." He announced, stepping into the villains reach, yet confident since he'd frozen them in thick ice. "But I want to be a hero, so tell me what I want to know, and I'll melt enough of the ice so that you won't die."
He grabbed the nearest villain he could by the jaw and cheeks, looking into his eyes. "What's your actual plan for taking down All-Might!"
"Where's my sword?" Kaminari pleaded, looking at Jiro and Yaoyorozu. They were currently stuck in the mountain zone, so they had nowhere to go unless they wanted to drop down a lethal distance. Preparing to defend themselves against the villains, Yaoyorozu made weapons for both herself and Jiro,
"Can't you just fry them with your quirk?" Jiro groaned, ducking under a villain's swing, before retaliating with a sword strike of her own.
"You saw me in the combat trials!" Kaminari cried out. "I can't control where I shoot it! I'll just hit you two as well!"
"Then you'll need to get up close and personal!" Jiro grunted in response, shoving the boy against an unassuming villain. Instinctively, Kaminari activated his quirk, blasting the villain and ones near him with electricity.
O-oh my gods, I did it!" He cheered, looking at the downed villains near him.
In the darkness of the downpour zone, roars could be heard.
"RUN! A voice squeaked out. Surprisingly, it was a villain's voice instead of a student.
"Koda, get away, quickly!" Tokoyami cried out. Due to the darkness of the downpour zone, there was little light to keep his quirk, dark shadow in check. Because of that, the quirk had grown to an immense size, and was terrorising the villains.
" I SHALL FEAST APON YOUR FEAR! " The quirk roared out, swiping its giant claws at a group of villains, making them go flying.
"Any sign of some kids yet?" One villain asked out.
They were patrolling together in the conflagration zone, on the search of students. They were told they'd be paid either way for their help, but they wanted action.
Nothing yet!" A villain said from the doorway of a building. "I seriously thought we'd see one by-" he cut off.
The other villains looked over in his direction, confused when they didn't see him anymore. Another one slowly approached, calling out "hey man, you there?"
A figure jumped out of a window at him, slamming them into the ground. The last villain jumped back, surprised at the figure's appearance. He started pulling flames towards himself using his quirk but was stopped by the figure wrapping their tail around his stomach and lifting them into the air, slamming them into the ground.
"I hope there's not many left." Ojiro huffed out, gasping for air.
"WE'RE GONNA DIE!" Mineta cried out, throwing his balls out into the water. Asui just stood watching, and sighed as she pulled him further into the boat. She was lucky there was one in the middle of the flood zone, or else they'd have nowhere to hide from the villains there.
"You need to calm down, kero." She stared, pulling him into the lower deck.
"W-w-w-we're g-gonna die! Wh-why are you NOT scared?" Mineta blubbered out, tears rolling down his face.
"Because-" she was cut off by a giant crashing that rocked the ship. The source of it seemed to come from the room at the top of the staircase.
"WHAT WAS THAT?" Mineta cried out, fearing that the villains had gotten onto the ship.
"Let's go check it out." Asui said, not waiting for the boy before walking up to investigate.
Crashed into one of the walls of the upper deck was Izuku. She was confused about how he got here, as she was sure she checked for any other classmates before bringing Mineta onto the ship. She sure hoped she hadn't missed him. As she got closer, she noticed that one of his arms looked red and torn up, which wasn't a good sign.
The boy groaned, before slowly getting up.
"Ah!" He grunted, pulling his shredded arm up. "Oh, that's not good."
"Midoriya!" Mineta yelped, running over from the stairs. "Oh we're saved!"
"W-what happened?" Izuku asked, looking at the other two. "Where am I?"
"It appears we're in the flood zone of the USJ, I don't know how you got here though?" She stated very bluntly.
"I… I think I was punched here from the entrance," he groaned out, getting to his feet.
"Midoriya!" Mineta pleaded. "You have a way to get us out, right? You're like stupid smart, you have to have a way out!"
"W-well what's it like outside?" He asked, walking out to the deck. From where he was he could see villains surrounding the boat, too many to take on. More fortunately though, Izuku could also see that he wasn't too far away from the shore.
"Hey look, another plaything for us to tear apart!" One of the villains yelled, before creating a giant blade of water, slashing the boat in two.
"Woah!" Izuku yelped as the boat started to rock. "Guys we're sinking!"
"What!" Mineta called from inside.
"We need to figure out something now." Asui remarked.
"Uhh, I mean I'd be able to fly to shore from here, I'm not too sure about if I was carrying both of you though. We can try?"
"Is that the best you have?" Mineta shrieked.
"There's no time to waste, let's try it." Asui said.
"Mineta, hold on tight!" Izuku instructed, grabbing the boy with his good arm before running. Using One For All, he jumped off into the air, and spread his wings. Asui grabbed onto his waist with her tongue as Izuku pushed off, soaring. He found that he could still fly with both of their added weight, but he was descending faster than usual.
"Uhh Midoriya, I don't think we're going to make it!" Mineta cried out. Izuku looked down and saw that he was quickly approaching the water with Asui retracting her tongue to get higher up. Thankfully though they had gotten past the villains by that point, but they definitely weren't going to make it to the shore.
Hitting the water, Izuku was happy that they had gotten far enough that they could stand in it.
"You two, get further ahead, I'll hold them off!" He called out.
"What are you going to do?" Asui asked as Mineta swam away, not reaching the flow with his short size.
"W-well, if they have the advantage in water," Izuku smirked "then I'll take away the water."
After making sure that Asui had gotten far enough away, Izuku turned back towards the villains. They had gotten closer than he'd have liked to, but it won't change a thing. He pointed his good hand towards the water in front of him and activated 'Divinity'.
Immediately, the water level near him started receding. The water getting sucked into his fingertips at an extreme pace. The vacuum pulled the villains closer to him, though they now seemed to be trying to run away. Izuku smiled, seeing that he didn't have to worry about them getting in too close.
One the water level had receded so that only his shoes were wet, Izuku turned off his quirk and started heading towards Asui and Mineta. He could feel the immense buzz that the water created.
The blue haired villain stood and watched as Aizawa took down more and more villains. The hero took them down faster than he was expecting.
"I hate when a hero lives up to expectations." He grunted out. He hoped that his associate had dispersed the students by now. Even weaklings could do damage in large enough quantities; well apparently not based off of how quickly Eraserhead was approaching him.
"Let's see… 23… 24… 20… 17… 14…" the villain slowly counted out; his eyes glued on the hero that was now battling the last of the villains he'd brought along.
Finally, Eraserhead turned to him, and the villain charged. Aizawa tried sending out his scarf, but the villain caught it. As if expecting it, Aizawa chafed closer, elbowing the villains gut.
"It's hard to tell with all that jumping around you do," the villain coughed out. "But I've found your tell, it's when your hair falls over your eyes!"
As if timed, the hero's hair falls, and the villain reaches for his elbow. Remembering what Izuku theorised, he pulled away, but not before brief contact. The hero felt pain, and looked over to see the clothes and first few layers of skin where the villain touched him had started to turn to dust.
He quickly shot his capture scarf onto the villain's leg, pulling him down and across the concrete.
"That quirk of yours, it's not suited for drawn out fights against hordes. Yet you still jumped down to an open battle." The villain started, getting up and brushing his clothes, leaving one finger in the air. "You did that just to give your students peace of mind, you're so cool!" The villain rasped with glee.
"I almost want to get an autograph… oh but by the way, hero. I'm not the final boss." The blue haired villain smiled sickly.
Aizawa felt a pressure behind him, and realised he completely forgot about the bird faced villain. He started to turn, and immediately felt nothing but fear. Out the corner of his eye he could see a giant black fist firing towards him. Aizawa doubted he could even move far enough to deflect any of the damage.
He was saved by a swirl of purple that swallowed the fist instead. Aizawa took a moment to step back, sighing, before he heard a soar above him. He looked up and saw green and white, a single student coming to mind.
"What the hell?" The blue haired villain murmured out, also looking at the student smashing into the flood zone.
"Shigaraki Tomura." The deep voice of the mist villain appeared, followed by his suit warping in.
"Kurogiri," the now named Shigaraki growled out. "What the fuck was that! I was trying to beat the hero! Noumu, get him."
The roar of the noumu was all the confirmation Aizawa needed to know to get out of the way. He took cover at the other side of the fountain wall, but it did nothing as the hulking beast charged at him. Aizawa activated his erasure, hoping to slow the creature down. It did nothing however, as at the next moment Aizawa found himself being smashed headfirst in the ground.
' What the… I swear I used my erasure, this thing still felt as strong as Yagi! ' The hero groaned in his head. Everything felt sore, and he couldn't stop thinking about how Midoriya had been punched across the USJ by that thing.
"What do you think, hero?" Shigaraki gleefully taunted, strolling over and crouching down next to the hero. "Isn't my tank here cool? He's been modified to be the ultimate anti-symbol of peace."
The only response he got from Eraserhead was a groan as the beast pushed down on his skull more.
"Not too rough, not yet. We want to save him for one All-Might arrives." He turns to Kurogiri. "Did you take care of 13?"
"I'm sorry, Shigaraki, but some boy managed to best me. Due to him I only managed to give 13 artificial wounds, nothing serious." Kurogiri bowed out.
Hearing the news, Shigaraki stood up and started scratching his neck. "God damnit! If you weren't my escape route, I'd turn you to dust where you stand!" He growled out, stepping next to the misty man. He stopped his approach and turned back to Aizawa, seeing the man struggling to get out of the Noumu's hold.
"Noumu, rough him up a bit more." He called out, bored. In response, the Noumu got up, pulling the hero up by the arm. Aizawa tried punching it's face to no effect, only angering the beast as it crushed his arm, making the man yell in pain.
"Face it, Eraserhead. You're beat." Shigaraki laughed. "Against such an overwhelming force, you may as well be a quirkless child."
Aizawa dropped again, face paling even more when out of the corner of his eye, he sees Asui, Mineta and Midoriya walk to the edge of the plaza.
"Sir," Kurogiri cut in. "I believe you shouldn't waste too much time; the school staff are likely approaching."
"What…" Shigaraki frowned, turning back to Kurogiri.
"You didn't let me finish my statement earlier." The man explained. "Due to that boy's intervention earlier, another student managed to escape the building. I deemed him to be too much of a nuisance that I had to borrow the use of the Noumu."
"That person that flew into the flood zone!" Shigaraki realised, putting the pieces together. He looked in the direction of the flood zone and saw it oddly drained. Then he looked closer and saw two green and one purple head poking out of the ledge into the plaza. He smiled sickly "even if we have a chance to leave before killing All-Might, looks like we'll be killing his pride instead!" He laughed, before running at the students.
Izuku was shocked at the speed of the man; Shigaraki he thinks he heard. One moment he was standing next to the mist man, the next he was nearly at the students. He saw the villain stretch out his hand. Izuku was pretty sure he knew what would happen if that hand touched someone. He only had one shot.
"Bingo!" Shigaraki smiled out, his hand finding a resting place on Asui's face. He waited, but nothing happened. His smirk quickly turned to a frown turning back around. "You really are so cool era-" he stopped upon seeing the hero still on the floor, his quirk inactive.
Seeing a chance, Izuku pulled his excess energy gained by 'Divinity' forwards, and shot at Shigaraki.
"SMAAASH!" He screamed, pushing with all his might. The air blast was stronger than he'd been expecting, shooting him back into the empty flood zone pool. He looked back up, and instead of Shigaraki, he saw the Noumu.
"Smash? Are you one of All-Might's disciples or something?" He heard Shigaraki ask. He looked over and saw Shigaraki had been blasted back by the shockwave. He was now standing at least 10 metres away, his clothes covered in dust. "But what's with that strength? You have wings right there, and Kurogiri said you could negate his warping mist. Are you a glitch or something?"
Izuku could tell he was getting increasingly enraged, scratching his neck more and more. "You're a dirty cheat! I bet you were the one to negate my quirk too, weren't you!" By now Shigaraki was huffing with rage "NOUMU, KILL HIM!"
Hearing the words, Izuku pushed Asui and Mineta away from him, before shooting into the air with his wings. He managed to get high enough that the Noumu punched just below him, creating a gust of air similar to Toshi. He kept in the air, hoping to keep the creature's aggression at him to let the others escape.
His hopes were quickly crushed by Shigaraki yelling out "Noumu! If he wants to hide in the air, kill his friends instead!"
Izuku paused as the Noumu stopped jumping to try grab him, and instead turn to his friends.
He had to do something, anything. He couldn't let his classmates die. His first were starting to burn but he didn't care. How could he stop the beast? None of his quirks had range and he couldn't risk getting close without hurting himself. Izuku's brain didn't stop whirring.
" Izu- something com- don't know- hold on tight!"The voice of Yoichi cut through his head, making Izuku realise just how hot his hands were.
Suddenly, they were engulfed in black as tendrils shot out of his hands and wrapped itself round the monster. Not looking a gift horse in the mouth, Izuku pulled back, One For All activating as he did so. Izuku hadn't managed to pull the Noumu far, but it was far enough that Asui and Mineta were now out of its range. Izuku slowly descended down to the floor, digging his feet into the ground as an anchor.
"I'll kill you, you fucking cheat!" Izuku heard Shigaraki scream from behind him. He turned round, shutting off One For All and activating 'Erasure' not a moment too soon. As Shigaraki tried wrapping his hands round Izuku's neck, the boy rolled onto his back, kicking Shigaraki over him and against the beast.
"Asui! Mineta! Get out of here, I'll hold them off!" Izuku yelled out, huffing. "Take Aizawa with you!"
"You can call me Tsu you know, Kero." As-Tsu called out, following Izuku's order anyway. As Mineta ran for the stairs, Tsu hopped to Aizawa, carefully putting him on her shoulder as she made her escape.
"Big mistake, glitch," Shigaraki rasped out "NOUMU!-"
He was cut off by a large bang emanating from the entrance. Shigaraki had to jump back due to the giant door being blasted off its hinges and nearly landing on top of him.
" Have no fear now, students," a loud voice called out from the dust that the bang created, yet Izuku knew who it was, and couldn't be happier! "BECAUSE I AM HERE! "
Izuku let out a sign of relief. Toshi had finally arrived, but he wasn't smiling.
"Heh, looks like this level isn't over after all."
