On the ferry, somewhere private, Lilly finally opened the bag.
"Miss, I would advise you not to talk too loudly. There are still Inferno guards on the boat," she whispered as I sat up and stretched. "How are you feeling?"
I offered her a sarcastic smile. "Like I've been stuffed in a suitcase."
"I think the best course of action would be for me to travel to the nunnery, and then I can give Ken the suitcase with you in it." She looked apologetic. "But then you'll have to be stuck inside this luggage a little longer."
"It's fine. Thank you for going out of your way for me, Lilly." I patted the hand that she rested on my shoulder.
For as long as the ferry took to get back to Amber City's nearest port, I could at least sit outside of the suitcase. Hours felt like months, but we eventually reached the harbor.
Lilly helped me back into the carrier bag, and we traveled out of the harbour, into a taxi and back to the nunnery.
