I woke up to the sounds in the kitchen and the smell of food but I remember why my mother.
Her name is Tiffany. I completely forgot that she's alive now she visited me in the morning before I went to school. she died last time because of me, she awakened the SSS-Class talent called mothers love. It was a support class ability to anyone she viewed as a child of hers they gained a massive defence boost around 50 times the endurance and it would last 12 hours, But is also had another ability she used to save me in case something happened called wound transfer she could transfer all injuries of one person to herself.
She died from transfering all the wounds I got from demons to herself. That's where my hate for demons and devils started. when I walked out to the kitchen I saw my mother and started crying I didn't notice until she said something about it. "Lukas why are you crying?" "just happy to see you mom, happy that you're here." Mom says, "Lukas I just visited you 3 days ago I didn't think you would be this clingy if I knew that I wouldn't have let you move in on your own." "I'm fine mom like I said just happy to see you" as I hugged her while she was cooking. Mom says, "alright I'm cooking right now let go or I'm gonna burn the food."
I let go of my mom and say "Mom can you come with me to my school today as a visitor? I already have Merlin coming with me." Mom questions, "why do you want me to come with you?" "I feel like something bad is going to happen i had a weird dream and i want you with me in case something does happen, I don't want to risk it." She exhales and says, "Alright Lukas i'll come to school with you today you spoiled little boy." "So how has Merlin been lately, did you two do anything interesting?" She says in a teasing tone.
"Well mom me and Merlin went out on a date yesterday so that was interesting." She says while in a surprised and questioning tone, "Was she the one that asked you out because I don't think you have the balls to ask someone of her stature out without sounding stupid?" "Wow mom no confidence in your own son that hurts." She then says, "Well Lukas you're as dense as a rock so there's no way you did it of your own accord." "Well Mother I did ask her out on my own built up the confidence to do it over a few years and asked her out yesterday was surprised that she said yes." I really was surprised when she still loved me after the fall Because of how much fucked up shit I did at the beginning of the apocalypse. "Well mother I'm ready for school so lets get going." She agrees and says, "Okay Lukas lets take my car today since I am going with you anyways."
When we get into the car Merlin shows up and knocks on the window before we can leave. "Really Lukas were you going to leave without me?" "Well Merlin I didn't think you were going to ride with us and was going to meet us at the school?" She says teasingly, "Well Lukas there's been a change of plans because I forgot to refuel my car, and hello Ms. Starlight. how have you been." Mother says ecstatic, "Oh Merlin it's so nice to see you again the last time you visited was around 3 weeks ago, what have you been doing since then?" Merlin explains, "Just talking about my future with Lukas and what plans we want for our wedding." Mom questions "Dang dearie already? I can tell you love Lukas but that's a little quick no?"
Merlin states, "Well Ms. Starlight I feel like I need to plan these things with him now rather than later." Mom states, "Oh honey if your planning that far ahead you might as well call me mom." Merlin says, "Okay Mother." After a while of Merlin and mom talking we arrive at the school Millenium Academy a well known high school in Manhattan it's graduation rate is above 95%. I did really well in school with only A's and a B. With that B being History it's by far my worst subject. "haaaaa Millenium Academy." The place where I had my first and only friends that went with me until they died.
There was Yuki Sterl, Nikki Valentino, Nator Jefferson, and Val Crimson the person with the highest level talent was Nator at S-rank Called chaos inducement. where things around him were naturally chaotic so it basically made it to where people couldn't control Magic around him. At first he couldn't control it but over time he could pick and choose what things had the effect but it could work on anybody that was 20 levels higher than him so at the later stages he had a limit and that caused him to get killed, but he also had another talent that he kept secret and didn't even use on deaths row, but I know it was the same rank b/c if you have more than one talent they are always the same rank no exceptions. Yuki, Nikki, and Carlos all had two A-rank talents.
Now that I think about it I got really lucky to get a skill that scaled with my mana because I didn't hold them back at the beginning and I started with higher mana than even most SSS-rank talent holders the only person with higher mana than me was Merlin starting out. As we walk into the school we separate while Mom and Merlin get guest passes, I get to my first period class, which is Math I see Nator he's the only one in all four periods of my class we got lucky though because the fall didn't happen until lunch and we are all seniors in high school the lunch rotations go, Freshman, Sophmore, Junior/Senior. "so Nator how was the rest of your day after school yesterday?" "Oh it was good Luke we kinda upset you didn't get on the game with us when you said we were going to."
"Oh yeah sorry Nator I was on a date yesterday so I didn't really remember." "Huh, Sorry did you just say you were on a date yesterday?!" "yeah don't just fucking announce it to the entire fucking school." "sorry man I just never thought you would never get a girlfriend so who was it? Please don't tell me it was Mia I really don't get what you see in her." Oh yeah Mia I asked her out on my birthday during first period on the day of the fall as well I kinda forgot about her b/c she was one of the first people to die after we got out of the tutorial she didn't last 2 days out of the school which is kinda really sad b/c she had a SS-rank talent as well it was so much wasted potential squandered just b/c she is a absolute bitch. "No Nator I didn't ask out Mia I went on a Date with Merlin."
Nator Exclaims, "Merlin?! you mean the supermodel Merlin that most boys, and girls in the school are trying to get autographs from?!" "Damn man keep it down but yes that Merlin she's been a friend since childhood and I tried shooting my shot, and well she said yes. She wore glasses the entire date, now I kinda get what Henry Cavill meant by someone who just dresses a little differently or covers their face slightly, and people wouldn't even be able to notice if they are someone famous b/c they don't pay attention for that I guess that's why Superman's disguise works, also she's staying as a guest today at the school following me everywhere she said she wanted to see my school life along with my mom."
Nator then states, "Lukas I don't know whether to say your the luckiest or unluckiest man in the world because now your going to have to deal with everyone in class trying to flirt with her or just straight up get her autograph also I noticed your not wearing your glasses that's surprising you do know that the only reason no has reacted is because of how early you got here right? B/c your supermodel level in looks dude." "I know Nator I'm just trying to look normal plus if I did wear them on the car ride here Merlin would have taken them and broke them. She hates when I hide my face." Nator says casually, "Yeah I bet man you two are gonna look like such a power couple."
As he says that the bell rings for class to start and Mrs. Johnson goes to the front of the class and announces. Mrs. Johnson says, "Alright class settle down I'm gonna take role! Aurora Max." "Here Mrs. Johnson!" "Arthur Max." "Here!" Those are the two twins that had the SS-rank Talents I think they were connected but I was never able to get more info about the abilities out of them maybe they will be more inclined to tell me since I'll have an SSS-rank talent. I already decided that I'm not gonna hide any of my abilities unless absolutely necessary.
Mrs. Johnson says, "Mia Banks." As Mia says sarcastically, "Here teach." "Nator Jefferson." "Here." "and finally Lukas Starlight" I look up from my desk and say, "Here Mrs. Johnson." "oh Lukas I notice your not wearing your weird glasses today?" "Yeah never needed them to see just didn't want anyone to see my face but even if I did try to wear them today someone would of taken them away from me." "well its nice to see that your not wearing them" as she says that people finally start seeing my face normally and whispers start going around class wondering why I haven't started a model career.
"Now class we have two Important guests visiting us today Please let me introduce Merlin Ambrosus, and Tiffany Marie!" Mrs. Johnson says excitedly. I totally forgot that mom used her middle name as her last to the press so I would be famous and crowded all the time. Her full name is Tiffany Marie Starlight. "Hello everybody nice to meet you!" Merlin says like she's talking to the press. "yes hello everyone." In the same stoic manner she talks to everybody but me and My friends in. Aurora questions excitedly," why are you two here visiting the school?!"
As she says that both Merlin and mom look towards me slightly so that no one sees it happen and I just nod yes. I'm so glad that Archer isn't in my first period b/c I really don't want to deal with him flirting with my girlfriend and mom straight out the gate. He's tried bulling me, and my friends multiple times b/c we're all nerds, but it doesn't really stick b/c we really don't care. He's the movie definition of a school jock. After I nod Merlin states, "I'm here to visit my boyfriend and see what his school life looks like." as she says this you can see boys in the class visibly get degraded as one just yells, "And who the fuck is your boyfriend!!?" As the dude says this Merlin walks to my desk and just sits on it and pats my head and says, "This is my handsome man right here." You can see everyone in the classes eyes widen as she states this fact, Arthur just questions, "How long have you two been together b/c just 3 days ago you said you didn't have a boyfriend did you just lie or what?"
Then Mom explains, "Oh she didn't lie Lukas just asked her out on a date yesterday." Mia then questions, "Wait Ms. Marie how do you know about this?" Mom questions in a slightly happier tone, "Why would I not know about my sons own love life?" Boys in the class just straight up yell, "Mother!?!?! Tiffany is Lukas's Mother!?!? what kinda set for fucking life scenario is this?! Also why the fuck would you hide how handsome you are this is some bullshit, and you have perfect fucking grades?!!!" "Hey not perfect I have a B in history."
Arthur yells out, "practically fucking perfect I saw your grade sheet, that B is a 89% that's 1% away from an A. your grades are practically perfect, how the fuck are you smart and handsome, I bet your strong too because you wear baggie clothes probably to hide how muscular you are." "Well you are right about that, and yes I take calisthenics it's why I change in the stall when I'm in the locker rooms for P.E."
Random boy questions, "I honestly thought that was because you were afraid to show your small penis?" Merlin then states, "That mini Lukey isn't small think a big black penis in porn but on a white man, and that's when I walked in on him changing when he was sixteen. That's the last time I saw it." Damn you can straight up see murder in the guy's eyes when they look at me, one then says, "C'mon man leave some genetics for the rest of us your quite literally set up for success in this world that's some straight bullshit!"
Mrs. Johnson then yells out, "Well class I know this is a very surprising turn of events but I should still teach class if you would be grab your Laptops and open the document for the class that's going to be your work for the day if you need help ask me or Lukas." Mom says, "Wait why are you allowing Lukas to help others in class doesn't he need to get his work done as well?" Mrs. Johnson then says, "Work in math? Ma'am he's already at the college level he doesn't need this class he's only in it for the high school credit and b/c he said he doesn't want to skip grades for the simple fact that he wants to graduate with his friends."
Nator then states, "Yeah he's the only reason I'm passing this class with an B." After this is stated math class goes by quite quickly and when the bell rings we head to our second period with students in the hall staring at my mother and Merlin when we get to my second period English. After this class is going to be lunch time we have a 4 class per semester schedule at this school. When we get to the class this time the teacher was told ahead of time that Merlin and mom were gonna be here but it seems he set up the chairs in the wrong place, b/c he put them next to archer when I saw that I picked up the chairs and moved them next to my seat.
Mr. Merchine then said, "And what do you think your doing Lukas?" "Moving them to where they would want to sit sir." Mr. Merchine then exclaims, "And why would they want to sit next to a nobody like you!!?" "Because Merlin's MY girlfriend and Tiffany's MY mother dickwad." Mr. Merchine then yells, "Dickwad!? just go to the principles office boy!" "Alright." When I walk out the classroom Mr Dickwad seems to watch and when Merlin and mom follow me he questions. "Why are you two following a nobody like him? Aren't you two above his stature.?"
Merlin then, questions, "Why wouldn't I go with my boyfriend to wherever he's going?" While mom asks the same question, "Why wouldn't I go with my son?" Mr Merchine then asks, "So he was telling the truth?" Merlin then states, "Why would he ever need to lie he can realistically get anything he wants in life." "well we'll get going now see you during lunch ima just go ahead and go sit in the library the principles gonna allow it anyways and i don't want to be in the same classroom as Archer." Both Merlin and mom say at the same time, "Okay honey!"
When we get to the Library I see Yuki filling out college application forms she was always smart even with her abilities. She had an A-rank healing skill , Buff skill that raised all stats by 500%. She was able to focus her healing skill on the atomic level so her healing effects mimicked those of an SS-rank healing talent. "Hey Yuki how have you been doing with those college applications?" Yuki then looks up and says, "Been going well I have colleges already contacting out with full-ride scholarships. Wait? Is that Merlin! I'm a big fan!" Oh yeah I really didn't tell anyone about my personal relationships, I mean Nator knew about my mom but not Merlin but he was the only one. "Well umm Yuki Merlin my girlfriend, Merlin Yuki one of my most trusted friends." Yuki exclaims while shaking me, "Girlfriend! your telling me you were together with my favorite idol and you didn't tell me!!!!" "Well I only got with her yesterday." Merlin than stops Yuki from shaking me by grabbing her hands and saying, "Well Yuki nice to meet you I hope Lukas hasn't caused you too much trouble." Yuki than says shakily, "Well Ms. Ambrosus he actually takes care of all of us if we didn't have him we would be to chaotic together to get anything done, He brings the best out of people."
My mom than questions, "Wait he can be responsible? Lukas why did your own home look like a pigsty when I got there then?" Yuki then explains, "Ms. Starlight that may be our fault and when I say our I mean everyone in our friend group but Lukas, We kinda had a party while he was sleeping on Saturday and we didn't clean up after ourselves his apartment is normally very clean." "I knew something was missing from my mind I was so tired after my date with Merlin that I didn't even notice." Yuki than exclaims surprised, "You missed cleaning your room for a day that's the most surprising thing I've heard this year. never would of thought your apartment would be dirty for more than a day it was like you were raised as a prosperous prince."
Mom than explains, "your that far off." Yuki says, "Wait Lukas you grew up rich? I'm kinda surprised you don't have a maid?" "I prefer doing things on my own than having others do things for me." After a while we just started talking about my child around 30 minutes later Carlos, Nikki, and Nator walk into the library. Nator then exclaims, "Hey it seems were missing the party!" "Ha-ha good to see you too man." Carlos than questions, "So why is it that I hear you've been hiding things from us?" "B/c I have been I mean not all of you Nator knew about my mom, but he didn't know that I was childhood friends with Merlin."
Nikki than says, "Well at least we know it now, hey do you think we could all go out together more often then b/c there have been many things I've been wanting to do with you guys." Well we won't be able to do much in the future but I will make sure you won't die the same way again I got revenge last time but no one should go through what you had to I don't even want to think about it more than I should. Although I do wonder what's going to happen now that I'm gonna have an SSS-rank talent.
We all talked together until lunch time when the bell rang we walked out the library across the hallway to the cafeteria and paid for seconds for everybody while were eating Archer walked up to the group. "Hey hey hey what's beautiful lady's like you doing with loser's like these guys." Merlin than disrespectfully says, "And what is a small dicked guy like you doing near me." You could see his face turn red as he turns and walks away not wanting to get embarrassed in front of the whole school. SO glad that dude gets turned into a monster b/c he couldn't handle the mana although I am gonna kill him as soon as possible because he became an orc general last time an A-rank Monster.
I guess I should explain the monster ranks, well their not based on level there based on abilities they gain when they have an ability of a certain rank they are considered that rank. Like if the highest ability they have is D-rank then their a D-rank monster, but of they have above 12 abilities of a certain rank they are considered A boss, of course they could have lower rank abilities so lets say a monster has 12 C-rank abilities but over 30 F-rank ones they are considered a C-rank boss. The number is 12 b/c they get a massive stat boost once they get above that many skills, and the buffs stack that's why SSS-rank bosses are the strongest and considered mythical monsters b/c they always have above 12 skills of each rank.
As Nator says, "So, Lukas." "Hmm what's up?" Nator asks, "What are we doing for your birthday after school?" "Oh I don't have anything planned, I didn't think it was necessary." Nikki then says, "The fuck you mean you don't have anything planned we finally know who your mother and girlfriend are and you don't have anything planned!" As she says this I look outside and see students forming around a small green man, kinda like a goblin, "FUCK!" I get up and run to the kitchen of the school to the back and quickly grab a knife, "Sorry lunch lady's this is an emergency!" They don't even stop me from grabbing it b/c they completely believe what I say."
I run outside and through the crowd as the goblin now gains sentience and a rusty sword appears in his hand as he swings to attack Aurora. I guess this is how she first got injured in my previous life. I block the swing with my knife and parry the sword to the side, As students start screaming, "Why the fuck is it attacking people!? Does it not care about Laws?!" as the student screams that out I stab the goblin in the head luckily their not that strong b/c if it was an orc I wouldn't have been able to kill it. Arthur Yells, "Why the fuck did you kill it man it could have been a person!" As he says this the goblin disintegrates and leaves behind A white chest, Then a blue screen appears in front of everybody and reads out.

World announcement, "Now Awakening talents." Then everything is forcibly stopped and the screen says, "Congrats Lukas for awakening 3 SSS-Rank Talents."
