Chapter 73 - Chapter 73

As the days turned into a week, and the week turned into two, the seal showed no signs of weakening. The woman and I continued to take shifts monitoring it, and the others began to relax, knowing that the immediate danger had passed.

One morning, as I stood watch, the woman approached me, her eyes thoughtful. "I think it's time we started discussing what comes next," she said.

I nodded, intrigued. "What did you have in mind?"

The woman's gaze drifted off into the distance. "Now that the immediate threat has been neutralized, we need to think about the long-term implications. We should consider how to prevent similar situations in the future."

I leaned against a nearby rock, interested in hearing her thoughts. "Go on."

The woman's expression turned serious. "We need to gather more information about the forbidden magic and its sources. We should also consider forming alliances with other powerful groups or individuals who can help us deal with potential threats."

As we stood there, discussing the future and the potential challenges that lay ahead, I felt a sense of determination rising within me. We would face whatever came our way, together.

I turned to the woman and nodded. "I think we've done enough here. Let's return to the mountain and report our success."

The woman nodded in agreement, and we began to make preparations to leave. As we packed up our gear, I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over me. The seal was holding, and we had successfully contained the forbidden power.

As we made our way back to the mountain, I couldn't wait to spend some time with my family, especially Lunaria. I had missed her warmth and companionship during our time away.

When we arrived at the mountain, I was greeted with warm smiles and open arms. Lunaria ran to me, throwing her arms around my waist. "I'm so glad you're back," she said, her voice muffled against my chest.

I smiled, feeling a sense of contentment wash over me. "I'm glad to be back," I said, hugging her tightly.

Thane clapped me on the back, a grin spreading across his face. "Welcome back, brother," he said. "We've got a lot to catch up on."

I smiled, feeling grateful for my family and the love they brought into my life. For now, at least, everything seemed right with the world.

As the days passed, Lunaria and I spent quality time together, enjoying each other's company and strengthening our bond. We took long walks, talked, and laughed, rekindling the flame that burned between us.

One evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, Lunaria and I sat together on a balcony overlooking the mountain. We watched the stars twinkle to life, our fingers intertwined.

"I've missed you," Lunaria said, her voice barely above a whisper.

I turned to her, my heart filled with affection. "I've missed you too," I replied, pulling her close.

I took Lunaria's hands in mine, my eyes locked on hers. "Lunaria, from the moment I met you, I knew you were the one for me. You're the fire that burns in my heart, the calm in every storm. I want to spend the rest of my life by your side, protecting and loving you."

I pulled out a small, intricately carved box containing a beautiful piece of jewelry, a symbol of our commitment to each other. "Will you be my wife, my partner, and my companion?"

Lunaria's eyes sparkled with tears, and she nodded, her voice barely above a whisper. "Yes, I will."

I placed the jewelry around her neck, and we shared a tender kiss, sealing our promise to each other.
