Chapter 387 - 15-

Issue #15: The Sports Festival Part 5:

"Two Quirks"

As the flames of the battlefield were lit, they grew fiercely. The crowd cheered and roared as Wade and Todoroki made their way to the ring. This was it. The match everyone's been waiting for. The two most promising Heroes in Training of this class were going to duke it out for supremes.

"I CAN FEEL THE ANTICIPATION IN THE STADIUM, AND THAT'S BECAUSE THE SECOND ROUND'S FIRST MATCH IS GONNA BE EPIC! ON ONE SIDE WE HAVE THE GUY WHO LITERALLY WON BY A LANDSLIDE, AND LEFT HAFT THE AUDIENCE FROZEN! IT'S THE SON OF THE NUMBER TWO RANKED PRO-HERO WHO'S IN THE HERO COURSE, SHOTO TODOROKI! AND ON THE OTHER SIDE WE HAVE THE SPIDER KID THAT MADE A COME BACK AFTER NEARLY WALKING OUT OF HIS FIRST MATCH! ALSO FROM THE HERO COURSE, WADE WALKER!"

The two stood on the ring, glaring at each other. "Hey man, how's it hanging?" Wade asked with a smirk as he jerked up an eyebrow, trying to lighten the mood, but also to hide his nervousness. "Haven't seen you in a while."

"Well, here I am. And only one of us can win." Todoroki said with a cold glare aimed towards Wade.

"When you should know that I'm not planning to lose this either, asshole." Wade said with his furrowed brows. "I owe that much to everyone who supported me. And I will beat you."

Present Mic got back on the microphone and shouted. "BOTH OF THESE HEROES IN TRAINING HAVE BEEN FRONT RUNNERS IN THE SPORTS FESTIVAL, BUT WHICH ONE OF THESE RIVALS WILL ADVANCE INTO THE NEXT ROUND?!"

Wade crouched slightly down into a fighting stance, knowing that his opponent will start with an ice attack. Shoto did the same, spreading his feet slightly, planning to not allow Wade to use that power of his too much.

"PREPARE FOR WALKER VS TODOROKI!"

Wade powered his Venom Blast and Todoroki powered his Ice.

"BEGIN!"

Wade charged forward with his bioelectricity coursing through and around his hands. He had to strike fast, get in close to make his Spider-Quick effective. But Todoroki predicted this and the Spider-Man's Spider senses blared when his opponent placed a foot forward, and launched a huge spiky ice wave straight towards him at high speed.

Thinking fast, Wade jumped back, changed One-for-All into one of his right hand's fingers, and took aim. With the left hand, he reached down, and grabbed onto the ground with his sticky fingers. He flicked his finger and sent a force of energy right towards the ice.

The Venom Smash stopped the wave, and then the force of energy destroyed Todoroki's offensive move. Creating a strong and fast gust of wind that blew into the faces of the spectators, forcing them to shield their faces. Todoroki quickly created a small wall of ice behind him so that he was pushed out of bounds. But he also has to suffer from a very small voltage of electricity from the Venom Smash.

Todoroki unshielded his face to see Wade getting up from the ground. He was able to hold onto the ground as to get sent flying back too far. The white and red-haired boy then looked at Wade's hand to see it was broken. It was just as he expected. Wade was at a massive disadvantage and was willing to injure himself to counter his attacks.

"WOOOOWWW! WALKER MANAGED TO BREAK TODOROKI'S INSANE OPENING ATTACK!"

As All Might watched from the teacher's box, his fists clenched. In his head, he knew that Wade would've had no idea just how powerful Todoroki's attack was going to be. So he reacted on reckless instincts and fired off a shot at 100%. No, not out of recklessness. It was likely that Wade knew that it was going to be the only way for him to deflect the ice barrage.

As Wade stood to his feet. He looked at his hand and saw how bad his finger was. His healing factor would take care of it, but because he used One For All at 100%, his healing factor would be taking longer than if he just used One For All in a smaller part of his body. But he grinned at Todoroki, seeing that some of the electricity in the Venom Smash got to him. One thing that Wade knew is that an electrical current is able to travel through ice. But it's not as effective because the ice was a poor conductor, as the H+ ions don't tunnel around very quickly.

However, it did mean that even though his electricity attacks would lose their power in Todoroki's ice, he was still about to zap him. At the cost of breaking his fingers and rendering them useless for the match.

"Well, that was just cold, Todoroki." He joked and charged again. Todoroki again fired off the same ice barrage as before.

Wade stopped and fired another fully charged Venom Smash, completely destroying the ice again. Wade grunted in agony as some blood was flicked out from his mangled finger. Todoroki shielded his face from the wind blasting at him, and the small zap he got. Grunting in slight pain, he glared at Wade.

The Spider-Man gritted his teeth to fight the pain. He didn't know much about Todoroki's fighting style. His attacks are so fast that it's hard to collect any data and think of a way to counter him. His Spider Senses are even having a difficult time keeping up. His plan was to get as close as could to fight Todoroki in hand-to-hand combat, where he could have a fighting chance. But that would risk his reaction time to break the ice barrage. Meaning, he had to find another weak point. The ice behind him is what's keeping him from being blown away by his Venom Smashes. Meaning that if he just kept using his fingers with One For All, but not use his electricity, then his healing factor can get that finger reloaded for another shot in a short amount of time.

On his right hand, he only had his ring and pinky fingers left and still had all the fingers on his left hand.

Todoroki breathed out a cold breath of air. "Let's continue."

Wade crunched down when his opponent sent another ice attack towards him. This time, the Spider-Man jumped out of the way to the right, letting the ice go past him. While in the air, Wade disappeared.

Todoroki, knowing that he was using the Camouflage to get in close, was prepared. Instead of another ice barrage, he sent out a thin layer of ice across the floor at high speed. When it caught Wade, the ice froze his feet in place. He gasped in shock and decloaked. Looking down at the ice in shock for a moment before hearing Todoroki sending another ice barrage. Thinking quickly, Wade fired a normal Smash that destroyed the attack. It also broke the ice floor and sent him tumbling on his back.

He now had five more chances.

"Come on, Wade! Go get him!" Mina cheered back in the stands. Grinning madly in excitement. The rest of Class 1-A was watching in amazement as the two fighters displayed their impressive feet of power. Just then, Kirishima walked back to his class' box and saw the fighting.

"Oh crap! I hope I didn't miss anything!" He exclaimed, gaining the attention of the others.

"Hey! Nice job getting to the second round, Kirishima!" Kaminari said.

"Thanks, man! Looks like I will take down Bakugo next." The redhead said, grinning at Bakugo as he stared at Wade and Todoroki.

"I'll kill you," Bakugo said, without facing away from the fight.

"Yeah, I'd like to see you try," Kirishima said, grinning. "But seriously, it's crazy that you and Todoroki have moves that blast the whole stadium. Must be pretty nice."

"Plus you don't have to pause between attacks," Sero said, still bitter about how his match with Todoroki went.

"It's not as easy as you think, ya morons," Bakugo said, gaining the attention of the others. "If you overuse your muscles, then you run the risk of tearing them apart. If you sprint too much, you'll run out of breath." He looked down at his left hand. If there was one thing that Bakugo would admit to was that he had a limit to how much power he's able to produce. Just like everyone else. That's why he designed his costume the way that he did. So that he would be able to fire off bigger blasts than his body would've usually allowed him to. "Quirks are physical abilities, too. They can get worn out. You can't just use them none stop."

"Yeah… It makes sense." Kirishima said, getting what Bakugo's trying to say and then looking back at the stadium. "Wonder if that's how Wade thinks he's gonna beat Todoroki."

"But that could also mean that Wade's healing factor has a limit and can get worn out at any moment." Tsuyu asked with a thoughtful look. That got some to think for a moment.

Would his healing be affected?

"You want an endurance match? I'll end this quickly." Todoroki released the same ice wave attack at him. Having dealt with the same attack, Wade was ready and had a plan.

This time, he jumped out of the way to the wave. Jumping to the left and landing on the side of the previous ice wave from Todoroki's last attack. Sticking to the side of the ice, he ran towards his opponent. Shocked, Todoroki finally took a different approach and created ice spears. He launched them at Wade. However, before the spears could hit him, the Spider-Man used his Camouflage and disappeared.

Todoroki's eyes widened when none of the spears landed a hit and just stabbed into the ice wave. He looked around for the green-eyed boy. Where did he go?

Suddenly, Wade reappeared. The half-and-half boy's eyes widened in surprise as he saw Wade flying towards him, twisting his body while in mid-air and kicking his right foot forward. Todoroki quickly tried to form an ice barrier in front of him. But Wade's superstrength broke right through it, and the kick connected into his stomach. Bile spat out of the ice user's mouth from the kick as he was sent flying back. Thrown against the ice barrier he had set behind him, which cracked from the force. Breaking through the barrier, Todoroki landed on the ground and slid towards the ring of the arena.

Thinking quickly, Todoroki summoned a wall of ice at the edge of the arena's ring. His body would then crash into it, stopping him from going out of the ring.

The crowd cheered all around them as Wade had launched himself back after the kick, landing away from Todoroki in a crouch. He cursed how he wasn't able to kick him out of the ring, he was nonetheless happy to see he was still able to deliver a beating to Todoroki. He could be touched, but he had to plan his cards right and then wait for another moment to start striking.

"Finally got you, huh?" He asked with a grin.

Todoroki got back up again, and growled sourly. That fight with Nomu wasn't just a one-time thing. He was better than the fire-ice user had anticipated. He's going to get thrown out of bounds if he stays in one place, and Wade was going to use the ice that he made to his advantage. Using it to jump around in the absence of his web-shooters.

Wade's grin dropped for a moment when he felt a twinge of pain before looking at his fingers. They were still heavily damaged, yet the healing factor was working its magic. He was now able to bend the broken ones. He'll be completely 'reloaded' for more attacks.

Sucking his teeth, Todoroki glared straight at Wade. "You won't get another chance!"

He shot another ice attack at Wade.

Wade's eyes widened as his senses went off, due to this one being much faster than the previous attacks.

He quickly reacted by flicking the last good finger he had, sending out another Delaware Smash. Completely obliterating the ice wave. With the exception of his thumb, that was all the fingers on his right hand. But while Wade took out the attack, Todoroki used the distraction to create an ice path and began running up above Wade.

"What the - shit!" Wade yelled, using one of his bandaged left fingers to fire another Delaware Smash. But Todoroki jumped before the Smash hit the ice. Todoroki came down and aimed an ice punch at Wade's head, but the Spider-Man saw it from a mile away. He jumped up to meet Todoroki head-on, kicking him in the stomach, before punching him in the face with his right hand. Wade screamed in pain, landing on the ground on his feet and clenching his wrist as Todoroki fell from the air.

He landed on his left knee, and from his right foot, an ice trail spread towards Wade.

Wade's eyes widened as the ice came at him, before jumping off the ground. He then charged a Venom Blast in his left hand to prepare for another attack. Suddenly the ice shot upwards and caught his foot. His eyes widened when it happened, and realized that he was in trouble. He saw ice shards building up behind Todoroki, and knew that he was going to attack again. He didn't know just how powerful the attack was going to be. He had to get out of there, and fast, or else this fight will be over.

Without even thinking Wade's simple Venom Blast turned into a Venom Smash as he concentrated One For All into his left arm. When he threw it at Todoroki, it was so powerful that it created an even greater blast of wind and force that it destroyed all the ice that Todoroki made, clearing the arena. But as the ice and fire user was pushed back across the field, while also in pain from the electricity, Wade had it even worse.

His whole arm was completely broken and screamed in pain and agony, but he bit his tongue and tried to ignore the pain. He just had to rely now on his right arm from now on. All around, people waited with anticipation. Did Wade win? Was Todoroki still in the ring?

"That was a lot more powerful than any of your previous attacks."

Wade gasped in shock. The cloud cleared to show his opponent pushing aside one of the icebergs. Todoroki had made another ice wall to stop himself from going out of bounds. He was now picking himself back up, breathing out frost from his mouth. Aside from the few hits that Wade landed on him, he wasn't injured too badly. "You're trying to keep me away. Smart." He said coldly.

Wade's left arm was throbbing in agonizing pain as he stared at Todoroki in shock. It wasn't just his powers that were off the charts. It was everything. Judgment. Mobility. Reasoning. All of his abilities were astonishing. His control over his ice powers was extremely high, stronger than Wade had thought to be possible. But he was just using half his power.

If he used his ice and fire, he'd be unstoppable.

Several of the spectators from the crowd stared in amazement at Todoroki, amazed by his powers. Commenting how he was betting than average Pro Heroes. But it was to be expected from the son of Endeavor.

"What's the matter? You're really getting worn out from defending against my ice?" Shoto asked, trying to egg on Wade as to doing something reckless.

"Shut up!" Wade growled, but then looked at Todoroki's arm and his eyes widened when he saw frost on his arm. Not only that, but his opponent was shivering. Was he reaching a limit? It makes sense that his Ice Quirk would start to freeze him if he uses too much of it. If he doesn't use his left side, then he could freeze himself and cause some serious damage like frostbite.

Either way, Wade grunted as he tried to push past the pain. He had to keep fighting.

"I'm sorry about this, but thanks for drawing it out," Todoroki said, looking to the left corner of his eyes. Wade turned his head slightly and looked to see Endeavor scowling an unpleasant look. "Look at him. He's furious I'm not using his power."

Wade turned back to Shoto and gritted his teeth. Remembering what he said to him.

"I don't have to rely on his damned fire Quirk. I'm going to show that bastard that I reject his power, and take first place without using it."

Nearing the end of his limit, Todoroki decided to finish this immediately before his power ran out. "With your hands like that, you can't fight anymore, can you? Why don't we end this?" Todoroki said another huge ice attack at Wade with overwhelming power. This fight was going to end, and he'll be the victor. All Might and everyone else was watching the match, holding their breath with anticipation, thinking that Wade was going to lose.

Wade's eyes were shadowed under his hair, until he looked up, glaring furiously. "I'm not giving up yet!"

Todoroki gasped and his eyes widened. With his now recovered fingers, Wade fired off another huge blast of One Of All at the ice. Pushing Todoroki back across the arena, breaking the wall behind him. His feet dragging across the concrete floor. He almost slipped out of bounds, but created another ice wall to bounce off of.

The bi-colored boy stared at Wade for a moment. The Spider-Man was glaring at him, arm stretched out before lowering it down to his side. His other fingers were still hurting, but he could now use them again.

"Dammit. Your finger was healed, but you broke it again?" Todoroki mumbled as he got back up. His back was hurting from slamming into the ice wall. Why was Wade going this far?

"You're cold, aren't you, Todoroki?" Wade said in a low tone. Todoroki was taken aback by the question with some frost coming out of his mouth. "You're arm's got that frosting on it and you're trembling. It's easy to forget that Quirks are physical abilities. Your body isn't able to handle a certain amount of coldness." Wade clenched his right fist, clearly very angry. "I think I get it now. Normally, you can counteract this by using your left side's heat, right? But because you refuse to use it because of your daddy issues, you're going to give yourself frostbite!"

Todoroki gritted his teeth. "Shut up! What happens to me is none of your concern!"

"Have you forgotten why we came here in the first place? We're all here to do our best… fighting tooth and nail… pouring our blood, sweat, and tears… to try and win. To make our dreams into a reality. To become number one!" Wade proclaimed loudly. Everyone, from his friends and the audience, fell silent as they heard his words. His emotions were once again getting the best of him. "With great power, there must also come great responsibility. That is what makes a great Hero, but how can you take on that responsibility if you refuse to use your Quirk to its full potential? You came here, thinking that you can win with half your strength? You'd rather let yourself freeze and die, all for your stupid pride?! Well, forget it! I wouldn't let you kill yourself!"

"I don't need that bastard's power!" Todoroki snarled with his clenched fists. "And I don't need you to look out for me!"

"Then who will, Frosty!?" Wade snapped, his voice laced with fury and anger. His bioelectricity circulated around his right arm. "One way or another, I'll get you to understand. Even if I have to beat some sense into you. I don't give up so easily, and you haven't managed to put a single scratch on me yet."

Wade then pointed at Todoroki, standing tall and ready for more.

"SO SHUT UP AND FIGHT WITH EVERYTHING YOU'VE GOT!"

At the student stands, Wade's classmates were on the edge of their seats, with bewilderment written on their faces after hearing Wade's little speech. They knew he can be so reckless, maybe even crazy too, but to demand his opponent to use all of his power while he's injured? And they thought this couldn't get any worse.

"What is he doing! Is he really gonna fight like this?!" Sato said in disbelief, pointing at Wade's broken arm.

"He has to! He would never back down without a fight!" Mina said, while the anxiousness could be noticed in her tone, she tried to keep her faith in Wade. "Go get im', Wade! You can do it!" She yelled out loud, hoping he could hear her.

"Yeah! Stay strong and manly!" Kirishima exclaimed with a toothy grin.

And then some classmates, even Momo and Ochako, were cheering for Wade. Even though the fight wasn't in the young Walker's favor, they knew he always finds a way to win against the odds. However, Bakugo just remained silent, watching keenly the fight.

Shinso never thought the fight would get an unexpected turn. At first, he thought Wade was just out of his mind to keep fighting with his broken arm, and even persuading his opponent to use his full power. But then he remembered what Wade said to him when he failed to beat him, the same words that are driving him forward.

He could understand now, not only he was trying to save Todoroki from freezing himself, he wanted to acknowledge Todoroki's full potential, he would rather make the fight equal instead of exploiting his opponent's weakness.

Even though the odds would go against Wade, Shinso still hoped he could win the fight.

'Wade..." All Might thought in awe. For a moment he couldn't stop praying for a miracle for the young man, he had too much to prove himself in this fight. And now, he was shocked to realize what his apprentice was doing. 'I see now… You're making him use his father's power.' All Might thought softly. 'He must have told you about it before, didn't he? Now you're trying to help and save Young Todoroki.'

A soft smile grew on his face. Wade sure never seceded to amaze him.

Endeavor glared at Wade, remembering what the young man said to him before going to the fight. So his son told him everything about his past and his family. But instead of letting his son use only half of his strength, he's demanding him to use it.

'That boy..."

As for Todoroki, he was furious. He glared at Wade as all of his reasoning went out the window. "Walker… What are you trying to do here? You want my fire? Did my monster of a dad bribe you or something?!" He then rushed straight for Wade. "Now I'm mad!"

Wade got ready for the half cold-half hot boy. But he noticed something was off. He was moving slower than before. Was it because Todoroki's got so much frost on his body? It's possible that his Quirk works in a similar way to a magic meter in a video game. If that's true, then he could be running out of energy. Likely having wasted all of it when he fought against Sero.

As he watched his opponent rush him, Wade couldn't help but grin as he looked straight at Todoroki. With a Venom Blast all ready to go, he slammed his fist into Todoroki's gut, electrocuting him as the blow had him spitting out some saliva, sending him bouncing across the floor of the arena.

However, Todoroki's hand had touched Wade's messed up left arm, and ice formed on it. Wade flinched, his left arm and his right hand was screaming in pain. But he fought through it. If Todoroki was going to be fighting him at close quarters, then he had the advantage.

The crowd around them cheered with excitement as they finally were seeing some real fighting.

Now it was Wade's turn to rush towards Todoroki. The ice user got back up and coughed from the electrical punch. "Why...?"

Todoroki sent another ice attack. However, it was much smaller than past attacks. Wade easily dodged it by jumping out of the way. It wasn't just the ice attacks were smaller, but they were also slower that he didn't need to rely on his spider senses.

Wade grunted as he landed, before seeing Todoroki rushing at him. As the scarred boy turned to move around him and form ice under Wade's feet, the Spider-Man jumped off the floor before the ice could freeze him and launched a spinning kick across the face. Todoroki was stunned, giving Wade a chance to launch another kick in the chest. The son of Endeavour stumbled for a bit, but he recovered instantly before launching another ice attack, only Wade eluded it with a backflip. After landing back on the floor, he activated the Camouflage once more. Todoroki cursed inwardly before creating an ice barrier around him so Wade wouldn't try to flank him. But when he faced forward, he noticed some strange outlines.

It was too late to realize Wade was charging forward before he decloaked and punched him in the gut with his Venom Blast. Todoroki's eyes bulged out, his mouth gaped open while feeling the punch knocking the wind out of him. Wade sent him flying through his ice barrier before rolling across the arena.

Wade winced as the arm he used to punch Todoroki throbbed in pain. But he had to ignore it as he dashed towards his opponent before he would try to launch another ice wave at him.

Todoroki raised up while coughing for air, then he looked up and saw Wade was getting closer to him. The young Walker launched another punch, only Todoroki leaned aside as the fist flew over his shoulder. Todoroki dodged another punch, and acting quickly, he gripped around Wade's wrist, and used the other hand to touch his chest.

Before Wade could do something, he felt like his body just froze in an instant, his eyes widened when he noticed his body was being enveloped by ice, but unlike the time Todoroki used it against Sero, the iced seemed thin and he felt like he could still move around.

After he managed to freeze Wade, Todoroki knew it was only a matter of seconds before Wade could free himself from the ice, so he took the chance to punch him. The moment his fist made contact with the face, the ice around Wade suddenly shattered as he stumbled back. Todoroki punched Wade once more with the other fist and thrust his right hand, this time about to freeze Wade for good and end the match. But Wade just recovered before he kicked Todoroki's arm away from him, he then spun around and kicked him in the chest, sending him back and flew a few feet away.

Todoroki rolled backwards and landed on his knee, now that Wade was at the range, he sent out another ice attack, only to be destroyed again by another Smash attack from Wade, further breaking his fingers and his hand, while also causing even more pain for himself.

As Midnight watched the two fight, she didn't look as proud or as happy as she was before when she watched Wade fight Shinso. She was actually quite worried about the son of her deceased lover. And it wasn't just her that was starting to get concerned, as Cementos started talking through her earpiece.

"Should I step in, Midnight? Walker knows that Recovery Girl will heal his wounds after the match, but he's being reckless and hurting himself. He's full of adrenaline. He probably doesn't even realize how much pain he's in. They might not be able to get healed in one go, even if he wins, he might not be able to fight in the next round." He told her, not knowing about his healing factor.

Midnight didn't say a word, and just continued to watch. But she hoped Wade would calm down and be alright after this fight.

Watching the fight from where he sat, Aizawa started thinking to himself. Wade's power has lessened, but he's gained some control. But it's not that the Spider-Man was fighting recklessly, but is doing everything in his power to win the match with his current skill level.

However, something else was going on. Aizawa wondered, even if he could heal himself or let Recovery Girl do it, why Wade was willing to go through such intense pain. He's seen how the young man was in a fight, but even this required an absurd amount of resolve.

So why use all of his power and break his body, even when Todoroki was now weakened? What's driving him? Why is he so intent?

Wade rushed at Todoroki again. The two of them have been going at it for about five minutes now. Todoroki would send out an ice attack, and Wade would either dodge it or destroy it. All while trying to get closer to his opponent. When the two were close enough, they'd fight together in hand-to-hand combat. This time, when Wade tried to punch Todoroki with his purple-fingered hand, he dodged the attack. Jumping to the right and letting Wade's body pass by. Shoto then punched Wade's injured arm right where the ice formed.

Letting out a scream of agony, Wade then turned around, jumped, twirling his body in the air, and kicked Todoroki across the face. Sending Todoroki away before bouncing across the arena, before stopping himself with an ice wall. As he shrugged to get back up, Todoroki looked up and saw Wade was down on one knee, grabbing his left arm in pain while panting heavy breaths of air, before standing back up.

"Why? Why are you putting yourself through this?"

"Because I made a promise a long time ago… I want to become... the one who everyone needs..." Wade said, letting go of his arm. Todoroki looked at him in confusion. "I want people to know that when they see me, that they are safe. I'll do whatever it takes to reach that goal! To become a Hero that saves those in trouble!"

"Shoto..."

Shoto froze as his mother's voice echoed through his mind. "You're..."

Wade rushed in and kicked him in the chest once more, sending him rolling on the floor. "That's right! And all you're doing...is letting him win!" He yelled at him.

Shoto listened as his body stopped on the ground.

"You and I, we're so much alike, Shoto. But we come from two different worlds. So much so that I don't know what you've gone through. I grew up with nothing, but was happy. You grew up with everything, but was miserable. But none of that matters, so quit screwing around! You may think that you're rejecting your father's powers, but you're still letting him influence you! Everything that you've done up to this point still revolves around him, because you're letting him rule over your life! Making you half-ass it instead of giving it your all, when you can do so much more!"

Todoroki's eyes widened as he stood back up again. At that moment, memories of his past started playing in his head. When he was five years old, his father forced him into training. He held nothing back. Beating him until he was on the ground, coughing and gagging on his own saliva and throwing up his breakfast. On his knees, Shoto would be struggling to stand up as Endeavor ordered to. His mother was the only one that would try and stop him, only to be slapped across the face.

The ice on his right arm and leg started to expand. "Shut up! You don't know what you're talking about!"

He then remembered how he hugged his mother. She held him as he cried. He remembered the words that he said that day. "I don't want to, mom. Please, I-I don't want to be the kind of guy he is. I don't want to be someone who bullies you and hurts people, momma!"

"But, honey, you do still wanna be a Hero, don't you? Just remember true to yourself. You can be the kind of Hero you want to be when you grow up."

Lost in his own thought, Todoroki didn't see Wade charging at him again with a Venom Blast ready. "Be the Hero you want to be, Todoroki!" He yelled, before uppercutting Todoroki in the chin with his fist, and sending him flying up into the air. "That's why you have to use your power!"

Time slowed down for the half and half young man as his body sailed across the air, with some of the ice on his body breaking off. Even more, memories started coming back to him.

When he was a kid, Shoto would watch from high up on the second-floor balcony as his eldest siblings would play together. There were three of them. Toya, his oldest brother. Fuyumi, his old sister. And Natsuo, his second brother. They were a tight nit pair, but Shoto never had the chance to be with them.

But just like every time he wanted to be down there with them, his monster of a father would grab his arm and start dragging him off.

"Ignore them, Shoto. They live in a different world than the one I'm training you for."

Todoroki landed on the ground with an audible thud. His mind would then replay the worst moment in his life. When his mother would finally snap.

It all happened on a faithful morning when Shoto was waking up, and headed for the kitchen. But inside was his mother, talking with someone on the phone. "I feel like I'm going crazy. I can't take it anymore. Every day, the children seem more like him. And Shoto. That child's left side sometimes looks unbearable to me. All I can see is his father. I can't raise him anymore. I want to run away from this life."

"Mom, what're you saying?" Shoto asked.

His mother gasped, and the kettle of bottling water started whistling steam. She then turned and gasped. Her eyes held a stare of someone that had become mentally unstable. And seeing the red half of her son's hair, causing the woman to finally snapped. The human mind could only take so much of years of torment and abuse, and at that moment, after enduring and enduring, it all boiled over.

Rei Todoroki lost her sanity. She grabbed the boiling kettle and poured it over his head.

Everything after that was a blur. All he remembered was unbearable pain, hearing his mother snapping back to reality, screaming in horror at what she's done, and tearfully apologizing to her baby boy while using her Ice Quirk to soothe the wound. Todoroki remembered when he started to truly hate his father.

"Moronic woman. To hurt you at such an important time," Endeavor ranted as Shoto stood behind him with his back to the door. His eye and most of the left side of his head covered in bandages.

"Where did momma go?" he asked.

"Huh? Oh, she hurt my masterpiece, so I put her in a hospital to keep you safe."

"That was your fault." Endeavor turned around, and saw his son glaring at him with nothing but pure hate."You're the one that made her hurt me!"

Todoroki shook his head to clear it. Trying to get the memories out of his head. But his resolve was wavering. "No… I refuse...to use my left side." He said, trying to stand back up.

Wade gritted his teeth, losing his patience. He rushed Todoroki again, but instead of attacking, he grabbed him by the front of his shirt. Pulling him up and yelling in his face. "Dammit, Todoroki! Don't you get it?! It's not his Quirk, you dumbass! It's yours! Your great power!"

Shoto's eyes widened and gasped as a very fond and happy memory played in his head.

It was when he was still young and before he got his scar. He and his mother were sitting together as they watched All Might talking on the TV. "Yes, that's right. Children often do inherit Quirks from their parents, or develop similar power sets. But the most important thing to remember is that a Quirk is what you make of it, regardless of your history. You decide how you'll use it. That's what I mean when I say 'I am here!' Only you can decide to become a Hero, no one else." the Symbol of Peace said before giving a thumbs up. "Take this to heart, kids! You've got it!"

"Honey, you do still wanna be a Hero, don't you?" Rei asked her son kindly and reassuringly. "Just remember, stay true to yourself."

Todoroki didn't realize how much he'd forgotten her words. As it all came back to him, steam and smoke were starting to rise from his body.

"You are not a prisoner of your lineage. It's okay to use your power to become who you want to be.

Wade's spider senses went off as fire started to appear on Todoroki's body. He let go of him and jumped back, just to get knocked back when Shoto's entire right side burst into an enormous flame that engulfed the right half of his body. Rising higher and higher and growing increasingly hot made Wade flinch from the heat. But at the moment, he stared up at the flames with wide eyes, seeing just how beautiful they were.

"WHAT'S THAT...!?" Present Mic exclaimed in a stutter as everybody in the stadium was shocked beyond comparison.

"He's using his fire!" Ochaco shouted as everyone could hear the loud sizzling sound of the fire, as she and the others flinched from the heat.

"Incredible..." Iida whispered, remembered how Todoroki declared that he would never use his left, until now.

Nobody could still believe it. He actually did it, Wade finally made Todoroki use his other half.

On the field, Wade stared at bright orange flames with his mouth agape. "You're helping your opponent," Shoto said, bringing Wade's attention back to him. As he started to lower the intensity of the flames and gain more control, the ice on his right side melted away, leaving only a few on his arm and leg. "You fool. Even though you wanna win this battle, you're helping me. Now which one of us is screwing around?"

And for the first time in a long time, from when he was still a boy, Shoto smiled. The entire right side of his body was on fire, but he looked genuinely happy.

"I want it, too. I'll be a Hero!"

Wade grinned a cheeky smile. Todoroki returned the gesture with his own grin still plastered on his face.

Up in the stands, Endeavor grinned like a madman before throwing his head back as his fire blazed intensely. "YES, SHOTO!" He shouted into the air. Everyone turned their heads to him, wondering just what the heck had gotten into him as he walked down the stairs with a glint of craziness in his eyes. "Have you finally expected your purpose!? That's it! Very good! This is the dawn of a new era for us! With my blood in your veins, you'll surpass me! You will live up to the reason I created you!"

"HEY! ASSHOLE!" Endeavor stopped his yelling when Wade shouted at him. "Shut the hell up and stay out of this! You sorry excuse of a father!" He shouted at the Number 2 Hero. The Spider-Man then sighed and snickered a little and turned back to Shoto. "Heheh, oh man. I wanted to say that to him when he first started talking all that bullshit."

"Why are you smiling?" Shoto suddenly asked. "With your injuries...in this hopeless situation. You must be crazy."

"Heh, not crazy," Wade said jokingly, jerking his left eyebrow up with a shrug of his shoulders. "Just really reckless."

Suddenly, Todoroki let out a chuckle. And he thought he knew Wade better. "You know, I think it's time to settle this now. Don't blame me for what happens next."

A grin was spread across Wade's face. "Same here. Let's finish this once and for all!"

"Gladly!" Shoto grinned back at Wade and then began charging up both of his powers. His fire flickering intensely as it grew bigger, and his ice started to spread across the ground beneath. This was going to be everything that had left.

Wade began charging up both his Quirks. His electricity courses through his right arm, as he focused One-for-All into his left leg and right arm. The left leg of his pants was torn apart, as he prepared for one more final attack. It was all or nothing now.

Midnight's eyes widened as she ripped a piece of her sleeve off. Releasing her Somnambulist Quick. It was a pink smoke that allowed the R-Rated Hero to put her targets to sleep by exuding a sleep-inducing aroma from her body. "Cementos! Do it now! His body won't hold out!"

"One of them could be killed!" Cementos slammed his hands on the cement stand he was on. Quickly manipulating the stony ground.

Todoroki was the first to attack, sending out all of his ice in one single massive attack. As it came towards him, Wade launched himself up into the air with his One-For-All powered leg and shouted on top of his lungs, jumping over it in a spiral as he rocketed towards Todoroki. As if he was flying, it was too late for Todoroki to stop him with his ice, so he prepared his fire.

Swinging his left arm in an outwards and downwards motion as the fire became concentrated, causing an enter wave of fire to engulf his left side as it blasted backward for a moment, melting the ice that was behind in an instant. As he prepared to send everything he had at Wade, he brought his arm back to place it in front of him.

"I see now, Wade Walker..."

Wade pulled his arm back and sent out his Venom Smash. Whoever would win, Todoroki had only one thing to say as he fired his flames at full power.

"Thank you..."

Wade threw his fist forward and fired his attack.

Cementos' Quirk had construction up to five walls between the two and Midnight's mist covered the area, but they did little to nothing. Actually, they did nothing at all to stop them. The two attacks completely tore through the walls, with Wade like a bullet and Todoroki's fire melting it down into nothing. The result was the two attacks crashing into one another, and creating an electrical explosion that sent shockwaves through the stadium and outside of it.

"Wade!" Midnight screamed before the winds knocked off her feet and flew back.

The audience braced themselves and shielded their faces, but Endeavor was grinning madly.

The winds hit Class 1-A, who were forced to brace themselves against the shockwaves. Mineta was flown out of his seat and would have gone further back if Shoji hadn't grabbed him. "HOLY CRAP BALLS!" He yelled over the rushing waves of air.

"THIS IS INSANE!" Kaminari yelled with his arms shielding over his head.

"What's happening down there!?" Momo shouted as she, Ochaco, and Mina shield their faces from the air. UA's faculty didn't have to shield their faces, but some did grip their seats tight against the winds.

"Who the hell are these guys?!" They heard someone from the Class 1-B stands yelling.

A minute after the attack, everything settled down. Smoke billowed up from the massive stadium, as the Pro Heroes guarding the festival stared in awe, wondering just what the hell was going on in there and want students could have done that.

Now only a column of smoke was present in the arena. Covering everything.

"Having a great power does mean you'll be good," Cementos commented as he stood back up. "But these two are more amazing than I thought..."

Up in the box that he and Aizawa were in, Present Mic was knocked over on his back when the blast hit. "Okay, what just happened? What the heck is up with your students?" He asked while still on the floor.

"The air around the ring had been thoroughly cooled down, and then rapidly expanded when heated up." Aizawa simply said.

Present Mic quickly got back up. "Wait, that's what caused the explosion? Then what about all that lightning?" He asked before looking down at the arena. There was still nothing but smoke covering the area. "Jeez, I can't see a thing. Is the match still going on, or what, huh?

Midnight got back up, still groggy and sore from the shockwaves, rubbing the back of her head and butt with a grunt. Her glasses were gone, likely somewhere that one of her fans could find and take home to do God knows what. The last time she saw Wade in person was when he and she were hugging and crying at Daniel's funeral. But that was nearly a year ago! Just how did Wade get all this power?

But the moment she thought about the boy of the man she loved, Midnight gasped and looked around the stadium to see if there were any signs of him or Todoroki. When the smoke started to clear up, the first to be seen was Todoroki.

Barely conscious, Todoroki was out of bound, laying on his back. Lying on an ice bridge that was created that stretched all that way from the arena's edge to the wall of the stadium. It then curved up in a wave-like end that stopped his body when it was sent flying back.

As everyone processed what they were seeing and they saw transpire, Midnight snapped out of it and raised her whip up. "Todoroki is out of bounds!" Midnight shouted, before gesturing towards Wade as the smoke started to clear up. "That means Wade Walker wins and advances to the third round!"

When the smoke cleared up, she gasped. Absolutely amazed by what she saw. The crowd however continued cheering, but few were astounded. From the Class A-1 stands, they were also bewildered. As Todoroki struggled to lift his head, he grunted in pain and gasped in shock.

Wade was the only one still standing, leaning his body forward with his right fist stretched out. His right foot was stopping him from going over the edge of the white line of the field. His clothes were all burnt up from Todoroki's fire and turned black, with his shirt basically gone. Incinerated in the flames Both arms and his left leg were badly broken and smashed up. But it was his right arm that sustained the worst injury. It would be impossible for someone to still be conscious with injuries like those, yet Wade was still standing.

"Hey...Shoto..." Todoroki gasped when he heard that voice. It was Wade who said that. He lifted up his head and smiled at his rival. Having heard Shoto say his words of gratitude, he replied with his response. "No problem..."

That's when everything went black. He was about to collapse on the floor when, right before he hit the ground, a soft pair of arms caught him and stopped him.

Without thinking, Midnight rushed out onto the field towards Wade the moment she saw him falling down and caught him just in time. "Wade?" She asked worriedly and placed two fingers on his neck to feel a pulse.

Sighing in relief when she felt it. "Don't worry, we'll get you to Recovery Girl, Little Tiger." She said sweetly, before two of the medical robots came up to her with a stretcher.

As Wade was taken away to Recovery Girl's office, it was soon announced that there was going to be a short break so that the arena could be repaired. The crowd didn't mind through, as they took the moment to talk amongst each other. To be frank, they were impressed with the capabilities of both students. However, some were questioning Wade. Was he just provoking Todoroki without a plan to back it up? Did he even want to win, or was he trying to lose? Those were just some of the many questions asked, but none could argue that his powers were still impressive. Some were certain that if he could beat the son of the Number Two Hero, then he was destined for greatness. And he's got the moxie to back it up.

The only one that wasn't all so happy for Wade's victory was none other than Bakugo.

At the same time, Shoto walked back the way that he came into the stadium. His body was aching and he was still bruised up from Wade's vicious attacks that came at him fast and hard. He could have compared him to a jumping spider.

In the tunnel, he stopped mid-way to see a familiar face. One that he honestly should have expected.

"What's the matter? Not gonna tell me to get lost?" Endeavor said with a smug smirk on his face.

Shoto looked at his father with a look of suspicion. Just what was going on with him? "You seem in an awfully good mood for someone that just watched their 'masterpiece' lose. I'd thought you'd be disappointed and call me another one of your failures."

Endeavor raised an eyebrow and his smirk grew bigger. "I would be if you'd only used your right side." He then looked at the right side of his son's shirt and saw it was torn off. "You need to learn to control your left side. It's dangerous to release so much energy like that." He explained before uncrossing his arm and held them out. "But I'm glad you're finally seeing reason. Now that you've abandoned your childish rebellion, we can get back to what's important."

He then held out his left hand.

"After you graduate, you'll work by my side. I'll lead you down the path of the mighty, Shoto."

"I haven't abandoned anything."

"Huh?

Shoto raised his left hand and looked at his palm deeply. "You're a fool to think my feelings could be so easily reversed." He said, remembering the flames he unleashed at the state of mind he was in. "Instead...Out there...When Wade and I were pushed to the very brink...For that one moment...I forgot all about you."

Endeavor's eyes widened.

Shoto then walked past him and continued on his way. "Whether that's good or bad, whether it's the right thing to do, I don't know. Maybe I don't need you."

A couple of minutes later, Wade would wake up again. He knew that he was in the nurse's office by the sight of the white ceiling. His arms were covered in bandages and a large cast that held both arms in it. His leg had two pieces of wood tied on both sides to keep it straight. He stared up at the ceiling for a moment before sighing. "Back here again, huh?"

"You could say that." Wade's eyes widened and he looked down and was surprised to see Midnight walking up to his bed with a smile on her beautiful face. Placing a hand on his forehead. "Hey, Wade. It's...It's been a long time."

"Nemuri!" Wade said with a big grin on his face and tried to sit up when pain shot through his entire body and he laid back down. "Ow! Ow..."

"Easy..." She said, taking her hand from him and smirked lopsidedly. "You really did a number on yourself."

Suddenly Midnight and All Might were startled when Recovery Girl whacked him on the head with her cane. "OW! Son of a bitch!" He yelled, trying to grab his head, but that would just cause even more pain for him when moving his arms. With a big bump on his head, Wade snapped his head at Recovery Girl with tears in his eyes. "What the hell was that for?!"

"You know exactly what that was for! She's absolutely right!" Recovery Girl yelled, poking him in the head with her cane. She then huffed and calmed down. Stopping her hitting, before looking a little down. "The bones in your right arm were shattered, but your healing factor is still working to repair your damages. You better count yourself lucky. If you didn't have it, then you would have caused permanent damage."

"Can you accelerate the process?" Midnight asked, not knowing about the healing factor of Wade's Spider-Quirk. "He'll still need to be able to fight his next battle in the next round."

"Yes, but I'll need to remove the bone fragments. He has enhanced durability, but constantly fighting has caused some bone fragments to splinter off. It's unclear as to whether or not his body will heal them back into place or heal over them, making them get stuck in his joints. I'm not taking a chance. Then I'll be able to heal him."

Wade looked past Midnight and at All Might, who was standing at the end of the bed. "All Might?" he asked, wondering what was wrong with him. But then he remembered that Nemuri was still in the room and shook his head rapidly. "Wait! I-I-I mean..."

All Might held up a hand. "It's okay, Walker. Midnight knows about my condition just as you do." He said. But given that he didn't say that she knew that Wade was to be his successor, it led Wade to believe that she didn't know that part. "She is a teacher, so she's bound to have seen me like this."

"It's not all that bad looking," She said to cheer him up.

"It's pretty bad," Wade said. All Might spat out some blood before Wade angrily yelled, "Oh, grow a backbone, will ya?!"

In any more situation, Midnight would have used her sex appeals and her womanly charm to get some information out of a captured villain. But this wasn't just a normal scumbag villain, but Daniel's boy. So, while she wasn't going to use her usual technique, she was still going to tease him. "So, when were you going to tell me you started to have a Quirk?" She asked, leaning down a little to let her large breasts hang in front of him as she moved towards him. It was so cute to see her Little Tiger look so embarrassed and try to look away. "Didn't think that you were going to try and hide it from me, were you?"

"I-It's nothing like that," Wade said with a blush, before looking into her eyes. "And I tried to contact you for days after the funeral, but you never picked up."

Nemuri's eyes widened and she stopped teasing all together. She stood up straight again, and looked down at the ground. "I...I wanted to be alone..." She said, but now Midnight realized just how selfish she'd been, focusing on her suffering when Wade must have had it worse.

"Uh, Wade?" The two friends turned their heads to see All Might and Recovery Girl look at them with confused looks. "You know Midnight?" The Number One Hero asked.

Wade's face showed slight embarrassment, but he answered. "Well, I didn't know that she was Midnight, but Nemuri is a really close friend of mine. Well, she's more than that, actually... She was dad's girlfriend."

There was a halting silence in the room as All Might and Recovery Girl took up to 20 seconds to let that one sentence register in their brains. Then the pen dropped and they turned to her with wide eyes that turned white and their jaws hitting the floor

"HHHHUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHH?!"

"What's with the reaction?" Nemuri asked without any real shame. "Can't I find a man that I really like?"

"Well, no. It's just..." All Might said before trailing off.

"We didn't think it was possible for you to settle on one man." Recovery Girl finished. Almost as if trying to not just flat out say that her college liked having sex as much as she loved being a Hero. Ah, what the hell? Might as well say it. "Especially when you're doing the splits all over town."

"Ha-hah!" Wade laughed, but Nemuri didn't mind the comment.

It wasn't a secret that Nemuri had a lot of lovers in the past and had an interesting sex life. Given her title of an R Rated heroine who fought practically naked, it would be obvious that she likes sex. She's been with everyone from other Heroes, some politics, and celebrities. However, just because she enjoyed it, it didn't mean she'd actively just fucks anyone like a slut. She only had sex with people that she had an interest in, and were worthy in bed.

And when she met Daniel and the two started dating, she knew she'd found someone truly special.

"Well, what can I say? When you find the right guy, you find him. Daniel was a diamond in the rough. He was a great man and father that didn't just see me for my body. But that didn't mean he was a slouch. When we were together, he was the only man that really made love to me." She said with a smile. Before that smile turned lewd and dreamy as she recalled all those nights. Everyone in the room watched with sweatdrops as Midnight was basically having a wet dream right in front of them and rubbing her legs together. "Sweet mother of God, the way he held and took me..."

"Ugh, come on! I don't need to know about you and dad's sex life!" Wade yelled as he shook his head in a cringe.

"If you're going to do that, then go find another room or something!" Recovery Girl exclaimed, pointing to the door. That certainly backfired. What was she thinking? This was Nemuri she was talking about! "I don't care where! Just not in here!"

"Fine." Nemuri shrugged with a smirk before turning to Wade and smiled at the boy. "And Wade. I'd like it if we could talk after the festival."

Wade smiled and nodded. "Yeah, sure."

Midnight then turned and walked out of the room. There was silence in the room before the little old woman sighed. "You lit a fire under this child and are pushing him too hard." She said sadly. "Look at what he's done to make you proud. I don't like it one bit. You're going too far. Do you hear me? You and the boy. Don't praise him for what he's done today, or what if he ends up like this again?"

Wade looked a little surprised by her words, before looking down at his arms. He knew that she was right. If only he could find a way to control his strength, he wouldn't have to keep breaking his bones.

All of a sudden the door slammed open as Ochaco, Mina, Momo, and almost the rest of the class barged in. "WADE!" They all shouted, startling All Might enough to cough up a little bit of blood.

"Jesus! Scared the crap out of me." He whispered with a hand over his heart.

"Are you okay?" Ochaco asked her friend. But then she noticed the sickly looking man standing next to the bed. Not realizing that it was none other than the greatest Hero in the world. "Oh. It's nice to meet you, sir."

"Uh, yeah." All Might said with a nervous smile.

"He's in no state for visitors." Recovery Girl said.

Wade looked at them with a smile. "Hey, guys, what's happening out there?"

"The stage was badly damaged after your fight with Todoroki," Iida told him, pointing a thumb over his shoulder. "They're taking a quick break to repair it now."

The tall boy got pushed aside when Mina rushed over and came over to the Spider-Man's side. "Wade, oh my God that was so cool how you beat Todoroki!" She exclaimed, waving her arms excitedly and bouncing up and down on her feet. "He was all like 'fwoosh'! And then you were jumping around and punching and kicking him like 'bam', 'bam', and 'bam'! And then you broke it all with your Venom Smash and oh my God you man Todoroki use his flame and holy crap it was so cool!"

"Yeah! You were amazing out there! Even though you were badly hurt, you kept fighting like a real man!" Kirishima joined in with a toothy smile.

"I thought you would have a disadvantage without your gadgets, but dude you still got the edge!" Kaminari said.

"Your moves and reflexes were just magnifique!" Aoyama added with a flamboyant pose.

Mineta had a frightened expression on his face before he pointed a shaking at Wade. "But seriously, that match was the scariest thing I've ever seen in my life, Wade! What pro's would want a sidekick who hurts himself?"

He was hit in the back of the head by Tsuyu's tongue. "Now you're just rubbing salt in his wounds. Probably not a good time."

"Hey, I'm just speakin' the truth!" He retorted.

"I have to agree, you guys almost destroyed the whole field. And I thought Bakugo would be the only one who could do that." Jiro almost shivered at the thought of Bakugo blowing the whole arena into oblivion.

"Wade, what happened down here?" Momo asked, looking at her crush with worried eyes. She's heard about how Wade's powers were so great that it would cause intense injuries to his body, but never imagined it like this. But there had to be a reason for him to recklessly hurt himself in that fight, right? "It was hard to hear anything, but it looked like you and Todoroki were having an intense conversation while you were fighting."

"She's right, even though we almost couldn't hear what you said, we think you're the reason you convinced him to use his fire Quirk," Tokoyami said with a questioned look.

Wade looked at the others of his class and saw them all staring at him with curious expressions "Well, it has to do with when Todoroki pulled me aside before the first round." He explained.

"So, what was it about?" Mina asked curiously.

"It's..." But Wade paused. "Look, it's something really personal, okay? It's not my place to say."

The students looked at one another before Iida smiled. "We understand Wade." He said reassuringly. "If it's between you and Todoroki, then we'll respect that."

"Hey, speaking of which, where's Todoroki? Is he okay?" Wade noticed Todoroki wasn't around, and thankfully Bakugo wasn't here either.

"He's fine. He's fully healed despite all the beating he took thanks to you." Shoji replied with a hint of amusement in his tone.

Wade nodded with a smile of his own, but then he saw something that made it disappear with a look of disgust appearing on his face. It was Mineta with a perverted look on his face as he stared at the asses of Momo and Ochaco.

"Mineta, if you don't stop looking at their asses, I swear I'll beat your head until it's grape juice!" He yelled, getting a fearful scream from the very pervert.

"You're much too noisy!" Recovery Girl said, pushing them to the door. "I know you're worried, but I've got to focus on surgery now."

"SURGERY!?" They all yelled in shock.

"Go on. Get out of here!" She didn't need to explain everything.

Wade watched as they all started asking a lot of questions like was he going to be okay or if it was too serious. But they didn't get any answers before they were pushed out of the room. It was still something he was still getting used to. Having friends like the ones that he's made at U.A. But it always brought out a smile.

"I'll head back to the stadium." All Might said, placing a hand on his shoulder. "We'll talk more later." He then walked out of the room. Leaving Wade in good hands.

Once they were alone, Recovery Girl closed the door and turned to the young man. Looking at his badly injured arms and leg, she sighed sadly before walking over to him. "I should have called up Eraserhead and have you withdrawn from the tournament." She said, getting a surprised look from Wade. "I know it's unfair, but you need time to heal. But Midnight, All Might, and even Aizawa said that if you're still able to fight and stay awake after your surgery in time for your fight, then they'll allow you to continue."

She pointed at his arms with her cane.

"But consider this my last job on you, Wade Walker. I wouldn't support self-harm like this or any kind. You'll have to let your body heal on its own. Or, you find another way to use your power. There has to be an option that's not so self-destructive. But as long as you continue to injure yourself like this, I wouldn't heal you."

Wade took a deep breath and nodded. "I understand."

During the surgery and after the stadium was finished with its reconstruction, the games continued on. After Wade and Todoroki, it was Iida vs Ibara. It was a fast and easy victory for the speedster, who used his Recipro Burst to get behind the vine-haired girl and then push her out of bounds. Then it was Mina vs Tokoyami. Just like in his fight with Momo, the bird-head boy used Dark Shadow to push Mina back while she tried using her Acid against the being, but it wasn't enough. She was instantly pushed out of bounds.

However, as she abandoned the arena and made her way back to the stands, Mina wasn't as focused during the fight as she was thinking about Wade. As was Momo and Ochaco.

Luckily, Recovery Girl was finished and Wade was able to wake up. She gave the young man one final smooch on his cheek to finalize the healing. Once finished, Wade stood up and started ripping some of the bandages off his body. "There. You're all fixed up." She said as the young man stretched his arms and legs. "As my last healing of you, until you can get a hold of that Quirk of yours, I've completely healed your body."

"Thank you, ma'am." He said gratefully while removing the bandages of his right hand. Only to stop when he noticed something really wrong. The fingers on his right hand became slightly deformed, and his hand showed scarring.

Recovery Girl noticed the bittersweet look Wade had on his face when he stared at his head and said. "Don't neglect them. I'm not sure if your healing factor will be able to replace the few shards that I had to remove, but I want you to use this as a reminder of how far you go ahead of today. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got to tell All Might that you'll be able to return for the next round."

She then turned and left Wade to contact the Number 1 Hero to update him on Wade. Wade looked back at his hand and rewrapped the bandages. He'll have to look at his Spider-Quirk manual to see if his powers are able to heal back those fragments. All he knows is that after a goodnight's sleep will be all he needs for his body to do its job.

Meanwhile, there was trouble in Hosu City, a ward located in Tokyo, Japan. West of the capital of Japan, it was a fairly average city that was under the protection of a Hero Agency that was led by one of the greatest Heroes in Japan. Iida's older brother, Tensei Iida - The Turbo Hero: Ingenium.

Tensei looked so much like his younger brother that you could say he's an older version of the UA student, with square features and short, dark blue, spiked hair. A differing feature was that he possessed arrow-shaped eyebrows and had a slightly-longer face. Unlike Tenya he does not wear glasses.

Now in his full Hero armor, Ingenium was running through the streets of Hosu City. The hunt had begun for a villain. But what kind of villain? This wasn't a petty thief or some mad scientist hellbent on world domination. No, what he and his agency were facing was so dangerous, it could only be described as a force of nature, or something supernatural.

Seventeen Heroes died and twenty-three injured beyond recovery, this villain was now in Hosu.

Determined to capture the villain, Ingenium placed a hand on the communicator of his helmet. "Squad A, head north. Squad B, check the west side!"

"Squad A, roger!"

"Squad B, roger!"

All over the city, there were police sirens blaring. All available units out looking for the murderous villain. However, the hunt would be over for Ingenium when he passed by an alleyway. And a dark figure stood there. Having noticed it, Ingenium came to a stop a few meters away. "Back there!"

He ran towards it before using his Engine-Quirk, and the engine exhausts protruding from his elbows blasted him into the air, sending him up on a building's wall, before hopping over to the wall behind him, and then jumping over the first building. Falling down into the alleyway that he saw the person.

"No doubt about it. It's him!" Ingenium then used his Quirk to land safely down on the ground, before turning to face his target. A creeping malice festered in the underbelly of a bright and colorful festival! And that malice glared glowing red eyes at Ingenium. All with the intent to kill. "I've found you!"

This wasn't just a mass-killer.

This was a Hero-Killer.
