Chapter 34 - VICTORY AND ENEMY

Meanwhile, on the other side of the battlefield...

The Hyuga were taking the lead in the clash, eliminating all the Uchiha jutsu users by taking them from behind, thus reversing the roles in the central field. They sealed their chakra in close combat, making it clear who was superior in the area of taijutsu. The Uchiha were falling, unable to react quickly enough to the precise and lethal attacks of their opponents or simply being used as shields by their more cautious comrades. Bad luck and lack of coordination were dooming them to defeat.

Although the Uchiha resisted strongly, they suffered many casualties. Their taijutsu skills were inferior, forcing them to form tight defenses to prevent those naive Hyuga from executing their fearsome attacks. But that plan was slowly crumbling. The Hyuga were reducing their ranks step by step, scattering the Uchiha and forcing them to retreat in a desperate attempt to find a position from which they could launch jutsus to change the situation. However, these attempts were quickly discovered and intercepted by their enemies, who did not allow them that longed-for opportunity.

The battlefield was overflowing with chaos, blood, and screams. Hyuga and Uchiha slaughtered each other savagely. Bodies fell one upon another, the earth trembled under the fury of both clans.

And then, it happened.

A blue flash illuminated the field like lightning. A powerful aura arrived in the blink of an eye. Madara Uchiha appeared in the middle of everyone using the Hiraishin, the fastest and most fearsome jutsu in Naruto.

The impact of his arrival was brutal. The ground shattered into a thousand pieces beneath his feet, raising a shockwave that knocked down the nearest fighters, scattering earth and debris everywhere.

Boom.

Silence took over the field for an instant. Everyone looked at her. Hyuga and Uchiha alike. The Uchiha commander was there. The Uchiha were once again motivated upon seeing their commander.

"That's Madara-sama!" one of the Uchiha would say, excited by the prospect of their leader taming those with white eyes. The Uchiha, with newfound determination, attacked the Hyuga without fear of dying because they knew one thing: Madara would not allow it.

"Let's go!... We can't disappoint Madara-sama!..." the Uchiha said, and they attacked the Hyuga with newfound strength within them.

Madara stood tall, an imposing and lethal figure among the cloud of dust. His gaze, ignited by the ecstasy of war, swept the field with arrogance.

What a pathetic scene... these Hyuga and Uchiha dying like dogs, simple ants compared to her new power... what a weak spectacle. She lamented, but in truth, she didn't care. But now that I'm here, this place will be a graveyard. She thought to herself, and a sadistic smile spread across her face, the Uchiha blood pumping within her. How could she feel such pleasure in fighting?

She disappeared in a blink, reappearing behind a Hyuga whom she mercilessly pierced from behind. Before the next one could react, she had already crushed his jaw with a punch charged with lightning chakra, making his skull explode into a thousand pieces.

Madara moved like a demon among the enemy ranks, her speed with the Hiraishin was overwhelming, impossible to follow. She would appear, kill, disappear, reappear... only corpses remained behind her.

"HE'S A DEMON! IS THIS REALLY A HUMAN?!" a Hyuga said desperately. The desperation of the Hyuga could be felt from miles away...

"Retreat!" Harashi Hyuga, Habuzi's right hand, immediately took command, desperate about the situation.

This is... addictive. Thought the girl... It seemed the Uchiha curse pursued her.

She cut an enemy's throat with an elegant spin, pierced another's chest, and stepped on his head, crushing it as if it were trash.

"Show me more resistance... come on!" she shouted, euphoric.

The Hyuga began to retreat in terror. The fear in their eyes was palpable. Their ranks crumbled under Madara's brutal speed and ferocity.

Then everyone heard her voice, resonating with absolute authority, a voice directed at the Uchiha.

"There's no need to worry if I am your leader and commander, if I am here, no one will dare to face me!" she pronounced arrogantly as she launched one of her most fearsome jutsus. "Fire Style: Phoenix Flower Jutsu!"

The words burned with the intensity of her chakra. From Madara's mouth, several fireballs in the shape of phoenixes were fired, exploding upon contact with her enemies, burning them mercilessly. Desperate screams echoed.

"Where is Commander Habuzi?! Wasn't he fighting this brat?!" said another Hyuga, desperate over the massacre.

Madara smiled disdainfully as she saw the Hyuga retreat. She stepped back for a moment and looked at the few remaining Hyuga. Without mercy, she pulled out a storage scroll and suddenly activated it, pulling out a familiar head for them.

"Are you referring to this weak cockroach? He gave me some trouble... but it was nothing I couldn't handle." she said, and a wild laugh escaped her. The Hyuga could not help but collapse, their wills broken. Upon witnessing the brutal death of so many of their comrades and now their leader, they could not help but regret having come to this war. Some fell to their knees on the ground, unable to continue, some committed suicide by stabbing themselves, and others simply surrendered.

How did they dare to challenge the Uchiha clan? What were they thinking? This was inevitable, and now, a hell.

Madara's eyes gleamed with contempt.

This is being too easy... just a few more, and this will be over...

She could feel it. Her chakra grew, her lightning nature intensified within her, becoming vaster, more violent. The intoxicating sensation of absolute power invaded her.

I want more... I need more... why do they feel so weak now? Why don't they satisfy me? The girl thought and couldn't help but frown. This thirst for power... was too much, she had to control it, but right now, she couldn't. The excitement of the battle was irresistible.

"This dance! Let me dance a little more!"

Part of her reveled in the death of her victims, enjoying every scream, every plea. But another part, buried deep inside, was disgusted.

Is this all? Is this the best they could offer me? They are insects... insignificant. They don't even deserve for me to kill them. They are worthless.

"Uchiha, kill them all!" she ordered with ruthless coldness, without the slightest compassion.

Thus began an uncontrolled massacre. The Uchiha regained their arrogance and killed mercilessly anyone who crossed their path.

"No, please! I have a family!" pleaded a desperate Hyuga.

Madara observed him carefully. That man... she had seen him before. He was Habuzi's right hand. A spark of interest appeared in her mind.

Maybe I can take advantage of this insect... perhaps he can be useful for now\...

"You want to live, don't you?" she smiled hypocritically, almost playfully. "What could you offer the Uchiha clan for us to spare your life?"

Her arrogant gaze pierced the Hyuga, who trembled inside. He wanted to survive. Not just for himself, but for his clan.

He knew it... he was the only one who could now lead the Hyuga clan. His revenge against the Uchiha would have to wait. And if he wanted his clan to survive, he had to give everything to the Uchiha in front of him.

"I will offer the resources and riches my clan has been guarding..." the Hyuga replied without hesitation.

Madara narrowed her eyes, pleased.

"How pathetic... Did you really think that with that power you were going to defeat us? You depended too much on that useless commander... But I accept, Hyuga trash."

And so the war ended. The negotiation advanced. The remaining soldiers split: some attended to the wounded, others accompanied Madara to collect the promised riches. This trip to the Hyuga clan lasted two days. During this time, the men transported sacks full of valuables looted from the Hyuga clan, seeds, jutsus, and medicinal plants that benefited the Uchiha clan.

The Land of Fire soon learned what had happened between the Uchiha and the Hyuga, and Madara's name quickly spread.

The Uchiha Ghost, an Uchiha whose presence you could not feel, nor even know when you had died. Now they knew that the Uchiha would have an heir who would shake the ninja world...

But then... everyone felt it.

A terrifying chakra emerged from the nearby forest. The heavy, almost beastly footsteps rumbled in the earth.

Madara felt a shiver run down her spine.

What is this? Did they have a secret weapon hidden all this time? A beast...? No, this is different. This chakra is... monstrous.

The soldiers, with trembling weapons, anxiously awaited whatever was about to appear.

Finally, the figure appeared. A boy with jet-black hair, a completely black tunic, a worked body, and strange protrusions on his back. He smiled arrogantly.

"Wow, you've really made a mess," he said calmly. "But I congratulate you. Thanks to that, I will be able to collect more resources here. Hand over all your corpses... or you will succumb to my power. If you resist... it will be worse."

The stranger spoke, the murderous pressure he emanated was overwhelming. His chakra enveloped everyone like an inescapable shadow. Madara was now monitoring while the bodies of the fallen were lifted to be taken back to the Uchiha clan.

"I can feel it from here," he added. "You won't be able to do anything if you decide to attack. Think carefully. I wouldn't want to kill you now."

Madara was sweating cold, for the first time she could feel her own heart beating, and her hairs stood on end.

Who the hell is this? How can he... how can he make me feel this? I am Madara Uchiha!... she thought seriously and looked at the disgusting-looking man in front of her.

"Who the hell are you?!" she roared furiously. "And don't even think that I will hand over the bodies of my soldiers, you idiot."

The stranger burst out laughing.

"I apologize for not introducing myself properly. My name is Dante... It's a shame you don't accept my peaceful offer. So... I'll teach you a lesson, Uchiha."

The stranger didn't wait and in a blink, Dante appeared in front of Madara and landed a brutal blow, sending her straight into some rubble.

Madara got up; she hadn't anticipated his speed but smiled.

So it's not just a facade... finally, someone who can entertain me.

She charged her sword with lightning chakra and rushed at Dante with great speed.

"Lightning Sword Technique: Electric Tempest!"

Clones surrounded the enemy, but Dante destroyed them with his own hands. However, the real Madara fell from the sky like a whirlwind, hitting him directly. Taking advantage of the blow, she threw him several meters back and impaled him with multiple kunai with lightning chakra residues, paralyzing him. She surrounded him with a rain of fast cuts.

A cloud of smoke covered the field. For a moment, it seemed she had defeated him.

But from there Dante emerged, driven by his speed. He grabbed Madara by the neck, laughing wildly. He was too fast. Madara could feel it immediately, as she herself could not help but be surprised.

"Wow, you surprised me. I let myself go, Uchiha. You are magnificent, but you're millennia away from surpassing me. I admit you gave me some good scratches... too bad my regeneration can handle that and more." Dante mocked her, looking at her as if she were just a powerless brat.

He effortlessly threw her far away. The rocks he lifted as projectiles were destroyed by the Uchiha soldiers who could still fight, protecting their leader from an imminent attack.

Madara breathed heavily, with a mixture of rage and excitement.

Who is this demon? Why does it excite me so much to fight you?

Her heart was pounding.

The battle was just beginning...
