...
As the video faded out, the lights in the Staples Center violently shut down. For the first time all evening, the massive outdoor elements of the Los Angeles arena were plunged into eerie darkness. Immediately, a sea of glowing cell phone lights illuminated the stands, creating a breathtaking, sweeping visual of thousands of digital fireflies dancing in the pitch black.
The haunting, acoustic strum of Live in Fear echoed through the stadium.
A single amber flame appeared on the entrance stage. Bray Wyatt walked forward, holding his rusted oil lantern, a wide, unsettling smile on his face. Luke Harper and Erick Rowan followed closely behind, wearing their dirty sheep masks, moving with heavy, rhythmic steps.
"Look at this atmosphere," Lawler whispered, genuinely mesmerized by the visual. "The Wyatt Family has the entire WWE Universe in the palm of their hands."
"They are dangerous, unpredictable monsters," Cole said seriously. "They destroyed The New Day on Monday to earn this spot, and now they have their sights set on the World Tag Team Championships."
"I despise Bray Wyatt," JBL stated firmly, his voice dripping with venom. "I hate everything he stands for, and I hate what he did to Sandro Zhang. But I have to admit... Luke Harper and Erick Rowan are absolute destroyers. They are exactly what a tag team should be. They don't pander to the fans, they don't dance, they just hurt people."
Bray Wyatt reached the bottom of the steel ramp. He sat down heavily in his wooden rocking chair, holding the lantern up to his smiling face, and blew out the flame.
The arena lights flooded back on. Harper and Rowan were already standing inside the ring, removing their masks, staring blankly at the entrance stage.
The heavy, rhythmic tribal drums of The Usos hit the PA system.
"SOOOUUU!"
The Staples Center erupted into a massive cheer. Jimmy and Jey Uso burst through the curtain, carrying the World Tag Team Championships. They dropped into their traditional Samoan Siva Tau war dance, shouting their battle cry as the fans chanted along.
The twin brothers sprinted down the ramp, full of explosive, infectious energy, completely unfazed by the terrifying monsters waiting for them. They slid into the ring, climbing the opposite turnbuckles, raising their gold high in the air to a massive pop.
The referee took both title belts, holding them up in the center of the ring to signify the championship stakes, before handing them off to the timekeeper. He checked Jey Uso and Erick Rowan, ensuring the legal men were ready, and called for the bell.
DING! DING! DING!
Jey Uso wasted no time. Knowing he was at a severe size and power disadvantage, Jey relied on his blinding speed. He ducked a massive, looping clothesline from Rowan, bouncing off the ropes to deliver a flying forearm smash. Rowan didn't even stumble. Jey hit the ropes again, delivering a leaping enzuigiri kick directly to the side of Rowan's head.
The giant staggered, dropping to one knee. Jey quickly scrambled to his corner, slapping his brother's hand.
Jimmy entered the ring, scaling the top turnbuckle in a flash. Jey swept Rowan's legs out from under him, and Jimmy launched himself into the air, connecting with a beautiful diving crossbody block across Rowan's chest.
Jimmy hooked the leg, but Rowan forcefully kicked out before the referee could even count to one, throwing Jimmy halfway across the ring.
"The Usos are trying to keep the pace as fast as possible!" Cole noted as Jimmy quickly tagged Jey back in. "They cannot let these monsters ground them!"
But the Wyatt Family's sheer size was an undeniable factor. Jey attempted a running crossbody, but Rowan caught him effortlessly in mid air. With horrifying power, Rowan spun Jey around and drove him spine first into the canvas with a devastating swinging side slam.
Rowan dragged Jey into the hostile corner, tagging in Luke Harper.
The pacing of the match immediately slowed to a grueling, agonizing crawl. Harper and Rowan executed a flawless, brutal strategy, cutting the ring in half and isolating Jey Uso from his brother. Harper delivered a stiff, sickening European uppercut that nearly knocked Jey unconscious. Rowan locked in a suffocating bear hug, squeezing the breath out of the champion's lungs.
Every time Jey managed to fight his way to his feet, throwing desperate elbows, one of the monsters would grab him by the hair and violently drag him back to their corner.
Down at ringside, Bray Wyatt sat in his rocking chair, humming a quiet tune to himself, thoroughly enjoying the systematic destruction of the champions.
"This is exactly why they are so dangerous," JBL praised, watching Harper deliver a brutal slingshot senton over the bottom rope. "They don't care about flashy moves. They care about inflicting maximum punishment. The Usos are getting exposed!"
"The Usos are fighting champions, John!" Booker T argued. "Jey just needs to find one opening to make that tag!"
Around the twelve minute mark, that opening finally arrived. Harper charged into the corner, looking for a heavy splash, but Jey used his last ounce of energy to roll out of the way. Harper crashed chest first into the turnbuckles. Jey scrambled across the canvas, his hand outstretched.
Jimmy leaned as far over the ropes as he physically could.
Tag!
Jimmy Uso exploded into the ring. Harper stumbled out of the corner, and Jimmy dropped him with a leaping clothesline. Rowan stepped through the ropes illegally, but Jimmy caught him with a stiff thrust kick to the gut, followed immediately by a massive Samoan Drop that shook the ring!
The crowd went completely wild.
"Jimmy Uso is on fire!" Lawler cheered.
Jimmy backed into the corner, waiting for Harper to rise. As Harper staggered up, Jimmy charged forward, connecting with a devastating running hip attack directly to Harper's face!
Jimmy hooked the leg.
"ONE!"
"TWO!"
"NO!"
Harper kicked out, survival instinct kicking in.
The match broke down into absolute chaos. Jey had recovered, entering the ring to help his brother. The Usos whipped Harper into the ropes, delivering a flawless double superkick that sent the giant tumbling over the top rope to the ringside floor.
Rowan charged in, but Jimmy pulled the top rope down, sending the red bearded monster crashing out next to his partner.
The Staples Center erupted as Jimmy and Jey hit the opposite ropes simultaneously. Building terrifying speed, both brothers launched themselves completely over the top rope, soaring through the air like twin missiles, and wiped out Harper and Rowan with breathtaking, synchronized suicide dives!
"Bodies are everywhere!" Cole screamed over the deafening crowd. "The Usos are putting their bodies on the line to keep those titles!"
Jimmy dragged Rowan to his feet, rolling the massive giant back under the bottom rope. Jimmy slid in right behind him, tagging Jey in the process.
The brothers knew they had their opening. Jimmy climbed the top turnbuckle on the left side of the ring. Jey climbed the top turnbuckle on the right side. Rowan was lying flat on his back in the center of the ring, completely exposed.
They looked at each other, nodded, and launched themselves into the air simultaneously, delivering a spectacular, picture perfect double Uso Splash directly across Rowan's chest!
The crowd counted along as Jey hooked the leg!
"ONE!"
"TWO!"
"THREE!"
Jey jumped up, his arms raised in victory, waiting for the bell to ring.
But the bell never rang.
The referee was frantically shaking his head, waving his hands in the air, refusing to count the three. He pointed directly at the corner.
"He's not the legal man!" Cole realized in sudden horror. "When Rowan was leaning against the ropes on the outside, Harper slapped his back! Harper held the rope and blind tagged himself in! The Usos didn't see it!"
Jey's victorious smile vanished. He spun around, a look of sheer panic crossing his face.
He turned around just in time to see Luke Harper stepping through the ropes.
Before Jey could even raise his hands to defend himself, Harper lunged forward, delivering a sickening, high velocity Big Boot that caught Jey flush on the jaw, knocking him completely out of the ring.
Jimmy, realizing the disastrous mistake, jumped off the top turnbuckle, charging at Harper to try and save the match.
But Harper was waiting.
As Jimmy lunged forward, Harper spun with terrifying, unholy speed. He unleashed a catastrophic Discus Clothesline that nearly tore Jimmy Uso's head off his shoulders!
The impact sounded like a gunshot. Jimmy folded backward, crashing to the mat completely unconscious.
Harper collapsed on top of him, hooking the leg, his wild eyes staring up at the arena lights.
The referee slid into position.
"ONE!"
"TWO!"
"THREE!"
DING! DING! DING!
The haunting acoustic theme of the Wyatt Family hit the speakers, instantly drawing a massive, visceral chorus of boos from the Los Angeles crowd.
"They did it," Cole said, his voice laced with shock. "Harper and Rowan just outsmarted the champions! They used the blind tag perfectly, and they capitalized!"
"That was a masterclass in tag team wrestling!" JBL gloated, clapping his hands. "The Usos got cocky, they took their eyes off the ball, and they paid the ultimate price! We have new World Tag Team Champions!"
Inside the ring, Harper slowly pushed himself up to his knees. Rowan rolled over, pulling himself up beside his partner. The referee handed the twin World Tag Team Championships to the monsters.
Down at ringside, Bray Wyatt stood up from his rocking chair. He looked into the ring at his victorious family, a dark, deeply satisfied smile spreading across his bearded face. He raised his arms wide, laughing into the chorus of boos, as Harper and Rowan held the gold high above the broken bodies of the former champions.
The Wyatt Family had just cemented their absolute dominance over the tag team division, leaving the WWE Universe to wonder who could possibly stop their terrifying reign of destruction.
The broadcast offered barely a moment to process the Wyatt Family's terrifying victory before a dramatic video package seized the screen. The footage recounted the bitter, deeply personal hostility brewing between Randy Orton and Dolph Ziggler.
It highlighted Orton's venomous accusations, claiming Ziggler was nothing more than a coattail rider, a flashy mid carder pretending to be a main event star while hiding behind Sandro Zhang's shadow. In stark contrast, it showed Ziggler's fiery rebuttals, calling the Viper a bitter, cowardly bully who couldn't handle the reality that Ziggler had earned a WWE Championship opportunity before him.
The video faded to black, and the slow, menacing guitar riff of Voices echoed through the Staples Center.
The Los Angeles crowd responded instantly, raining down a massive wave of hostile boos. Randy Orton walked out onto the entrance stage, his expression a mask of cold, calculating disdain. He took his time, walking down the long steel ramp with the slow, deliberate swagger of an apex predator. He ignored the fans completely, climbing the steel steps and slipping smoothly between the ropes.
Orton walked to the bottom right turnbuckle, climbing up to the second rope, and threw his arms out in his signature pose, bathing in the absolute hatred of the eighteen thousand people in attendance.
As Orton dropped back down to the canvas, the screeching guitar intro of Here to Show the World blasted through the sound system.
The boos immediately transformed into a deafening roar of cheers. Dolph Ziggler burst through the curtain like a shot of pure adrenaline. He didn't walk, he sprinted down the ramp, his blond hair flying, slapping high fives with the fans in the front row, drawing energy directly from their overwhelming support.
"Listen to this reaction for the Showoff!" Cole yelled as Ziggler slid under the bottom rope. "Dolph Ziggler is out here to prove that he belongs in the main event! He wants to prove that he is a completely different man than he was a year ago!"
"Ziggler has a massive chip on his shoulder, Michael!" Booker T added, watching Ziggler hop onto the turnbuckle and flex for the crowd. "Randy Orton has been talking down to him, treating him like a joke. Tonight, Ziggler has to make the Viper eat his words!"
"He is going to eat an RKO, that's what's going to happen!" JBL argued, a sneer evident in his voice. "Randy Orton speaks the truth! Dolph Ziggler is a glorified cheerleader! He rode the God King's coattails, and now he is out here trying to swim with a real shark. Orton is going to tear him to pieces!"
Ziggler hopped down from the turnbuckle, walking to his corner. The two men locked eyes across the ring. There was no trash talk, just a tense, venomous staredown.
The referee moved to the center of the ring, looked at both competitors, and signaled for the bell.
DING! DING! DING!
The match started with shocking aggression. Ziggler didn't wait for Orton to set the pace. He charged across the ring at full speed, tackling Orton to the mat and unloading a frantic flurry of closed fists. Orton scrambled to protect his face, shoving Ziggler off and rolling out of the ring to catch his breath.
Ziggler refused to give him space. He slid out right behind the Viper, chasing him around the steel ring post. Orton spun around, looking to catch Ziggler with a clothesline, but Ziggler ducked under the thick arm and delivered a beautiful leaping dropkick that sent Orton crashing back first into the security barricade.
"Ziggler is like a house of fire!" Lawler cheered. "He is taking the fight right to the Viper!"
Ziggler grabbed Orton by the head, trying to Irish whip him into the steel ring steps. Orton reversed the momentum, using his superior size to forcefully whip Ziggler instead. Ziggler hit the heavy steel steps shoulder first, the sickening thud echoing through the front rows. Ziggler crumpled to the floor, clutching his arm in agony.
Orton's eyes narrowed. The methodical, sadistic pacing of the Apex Predator took over. He grabbed Ziggler by the hair, hauling him up, and brutally slammed his spine against the hard edge of the ring apron. Orton then dragged Ziggler over to the announce desk, slamming his face into the protective hood, right in front of the commentary team.
"This is exactly what I was talking about!" JBL gloated as Orton rolled Ziggler back into the ring. "You can't out brawl Randy Orton! He enjoys inflicting pain!"
For the next ten minutes, Orton put on a masterclass in systematic dismantling. He targeted Ziggler's neck and back, slowing the match down to a grueling crawl. He delivered his signature Garvin Stomps, methodically driving his heavy boot into Ziggler's ankles, knees, ribs, and finally, scraping his boot across Ziggler's face.
Orton locked in a suffocating reverse chinlock, dropping his body weight down to drain the oxygen from the Showoff's lungs.
"Ziggler has incredible heart, but Orton is just too vicious," Cole observed, his voice laced with concern as the crowd began a rhythmic clapping, trying to rally Ziggler.
Feeding off the fans, Ziggler slowly pushed himself up to a vertical base. He threw a sharp elbow into Orton's gut, breaking the hold. Ziggler hit the ropes, looking for a leaping clothesline, but Orton caught him cleanly out of the air, spinning him around into a devastating powerslam!
Orton hooked the leg, but Ziggler managed to kick out just before the three count.
Frustrated, Orton dragged Ziggler toward the ropes, pulling him through the middle cable to set up his patented hanging draping DDT. He locked his arm around Ziggler's neck, ready to spike him.
But Ziggler fought back. He planted his hands on the apron, back dropping Orton over the top rope, sending the Viper crashing down to the ringside floor.
Ziggler didn't hesitate. He climbed onto the ring apron, waiting for Orton to push himself up. As Orton staggered to his feet, Ziggler leaped off the apron, wrapping his arms around Orton's neck and driving him face first into the thin floor mats with a breathtaking jumping DDT!
The Staples Center erupted!
"What a counter!" Booker T shouted. "Ziggler is putting it all on the line!"
Both men barely beat the referee's ten count, sliding back under the bottom rope at the last possible second.
The match devolved into a desperate, hard hitting slugfest in the center of the ring. Ziggler threw a wild right hand. Orton blocked it and delivered a stiff European uppercut. Ziggler fired back with a rapid combination of strikes, finishing with a leaping neckbreaker.
Ziggler jumped to his feet, his eyes burning with intensity. He waited for Orton to rise, leaping high into the air and driving Orton's face into the mat with the Fameasser!
"ONE!"
"TWO!"
"NO!"
Orton kicked out, rolling his shoulder off the mat.
Ziggler ran his hands through his sweat soaked hair, frustrated but undeterred. He backed into the corner, tuning up for the Superkick. Orton slowly pulled himself up to his feet, stumbling blindly. Ziggler charged forward, swinging his leg with maximum velocity.
Orton ducked perfectly. As Ziggler spun around, Orton grabbed him around the neck, looking for the RKO out of nowhere!
But Ziggler saw it coming. He forcefully shoved Orton straight forward. Orton stumbled, bouncing off the ropes. As he rebounded, Ziggler locked his arms around Orton, attempting to hit the Zig Zag.
Orton clung to the top rope, forcing Ziggler to crash flat onto his back.
The sheer frustration on Orton's face boiled over. He had thrown everything at Ziggler, and the Showoff simply refused to stay down. Orton backed up into the opposite corner, a dark, murderous look in his eyes. He dropped to his hands and knees, pounding his fists into the mat, but then he stopped.
He slowly stood up, walking backward into the turnbuckle. He wasn't going for the RKO. He was going for an execution.
"Oh no, wait a minute," Cole panicked, seeing Orton line up his target. "He is backing up for the Punt! He is trying to end Ziggler's career!"
"Do it, Randy!" JBL yelled eagerly. "Put him out of his misery!"
Orton exploded out of the corner, sprinting across the ring with terrifying speed, swinging his heavy wrestling boot forward, aiming directly for Ziggler's skull.
But Ziggler's survival instinct was razor sharp. At the absolute last second, Ziggler rolled out of the path of destruction.
Orton's boot hit nothing but air. The momentum spun him completely around.
As Orton turned back, Ziggler was already on his feet.
CRACK!
Ziggler unleashed a picture perfect, bone shattering Superkick that caught the Viper flush on the jaw!
The impact was deafening.
Orton's eyes glazed over. His body stiffened, and he spun around, facing away from Ziggler, completely out on his feet.
Ziggler didn't give him a second to breathe. He leaped high into the air, grabbing the back of Orton's head, and violently drove him backward into the canvas with a catastrophic Zig Zag!
The crowd lost their absolute minds!
Ziggler hooked the leg, hooking it deep!
"ONE!"
"TWO!"
"THREE!"
DING! DING! DING!
The energetic riff of Here to Show the World blasted through the arena, completely drowned out by the thunderous, undeniable roar of the Los Angeles crowd! "He did it! Dolph Ziggler did it!" Cole screamed, jumping out of his chair. "He beat the Viper in the middle of the ring!"
