The receptionist in front of him blinked once, then checked her monitor. Her eyes widened slightly as recognition set in. "Of course, Mr. Sandro," she said with a respectful tone, standing up. She briefly spoke with her colleague, handing over her current tasks, then stepped around the desk. "Right this way. I'll take you up."
They took the elevator to the sixth floor in silence, though she occasionally glanced at him like she couldn't believe she was escorting him.
When the elevator doors opened, she gestured to a sleek wooden door at the end of the hall.
"That's the conference room. Thank you again for coming, I'm a big fan."
"Thank you for the escort and for being a fan," Sandro replied sincerely.
He walked down the corridor, his shoes thumping against the polished floor, and paused in front of the door. A breath in. A soft knock.
"Come in," Stephanie's voice called from inside.
He opened the door.
The room was large but intimate. A long oval table dominated the center, surrounded by black leather chairs. Vince McMahon sat at the head of the table, hands steepled in front of him. To his right sat Stephanie McMahon, elegant as ever, and beside her was Triple H, who looked up from his iPhone.
All three of them stood as he entered.
Stephanie was first to greet him, walking over with a warm, professional smile. She extended her hand.
"Sandro. It's so good to finally have you here in person at WWE Headquarters."
"It's good to be here. Thank you for having me," he said, shaking her hand.
He walked around the table next, where he shook hands with Triple H.
"We've been waiting for this and can't wait to see what you have in mind," Hunter said with a nod.
Finally, he stood before Vince McMahon.
"Mr. McMahon," Sandro said with respect, reaching out.
Vince took his hand, his grip firm. "Sandro, good to see you again. Welcome to WWE Headquarters. I've seen what you're capable of and heard a lot about you. Good things. Just think of this place as your own home."
"Thank you, sir. I'm honored to be here."
"Have a seat."
Everyone sat down. Vince returned to his position at the head of the table while Sandro took the seat opposite Stephanie and Triple H. For a moment, there was silence, filled only by the soft whirr of the air vents and the distant hum of office life outside the conference room.
Stephanie opened the meeting.
"First off, Sandro, thank you for coming here. I know it's been a whirlwind few days for you, especially after the big pay per view last Saturday. Congratulations."
Sandro nodded, offering a small smile. "Thank you."
Triple H leaned forward. "That match with Hogan… wow. We all watched it. That was electric. You both told a story out there, that old school could humble new blood, but not without a price to pay. You came out looking like a star. Hell, you are a star. Even Hogan said so afterward to me and Steph through a text."
Sandro felt the pride swell in his chest, but he kept his tone grounded. "It meant a lot. Working with someone like Hogan, even in a losing effort, felt like the right ending to that chapter. And now, I'm ready for what's next."
Vince spoke next. His voice, though calm, carried the gravity of decades of command. "We've seen a lot of young talent come through these doors. Some spectacular, some good, and some forgettable. But you? You've got presence. Charisma. And from what I have heard, you know this business. That's rare."
Sandro nodded, feeling the weight of the moment settle around him.
"Thank you, sir. I've trained for this. Lived for it."
Stephanie smiled. "That's exactly why we brought you here. You're not here to be molded into a WWE Superstar. You already are one. What we want to know is… what's your vision? Where do you see yourself fitting into WWE? What stories do you want to tell? How do you want your debut to go?"
Sandro took a breath, letting the question hang. This was his moment.
He leaned forward slightly, voice calm but confident. "I see myself building bridges. Between the old and the new. Between different wrestling philosophies. Between audiences who love in ring storytelling and those who crave spectacle. I want to bring something that feels real again. I want to make my debut be one of the most memorable in the modern wrestling era, and to achieve all of that, I have some specific ideas on how to make that happen."
He reached into his bag and pulled out the notebook he had packed carefully the night before. He opened it, flipping to the first of several bookmarked pages, and began laying out his ideas.
Sandro first told them that he would like for his debut to be at the upcoming Royal Rumble this Saturday, if possible. He wasn't being arrogant, but he felt confident that the WWE Universe already knew who he was. He pointed out that hashtags of his name had been trending on Twitter consistently, and many of those trends were on par with WWE's Monday Night RAW over the past year.
On Thursdays, he'd trended alongside TNA Impact Zone, a feat that wasn't worldwide, sure, but enough to make waves in the United States wrestling scene. That alone, he said, made him one of the hottest free agents in wrestling today, at least in WWE's eyes.
Stephanie and Triple H exchanged a glance, nodding slightly. What he said was true, they had kept their eye on Sandro for over a year. His work in FCW and TNA, especially the first and the last Forbidden Door pay per view, had shown the industry that he could be more than just a name or a legacy. His proposal to debut at the Royal Rumble wasn't only feasible, it was potentially explosive.
Triple H leaned forward, rubbing his beard thoughtfully. "You know, it's not a bad idea at all. The Rumble thrives on surprises. A debut like yours? It could create a real spark online. The internet and the wrestling industry would explode in reaction."
Stephanie added, "You've got the momentum. Starting with a Royal Rumble debut could elevate you instantly if handled right. It's big."
Then, all eyes turned to Vince.
The Chairman was silent, his eyes locked on Sandro, fingers rhythmically tapping the oak table. There was a stillness about him, the kind that made it hard to guess whether he was approving or disapproving. Finally, he spoke, voice measured but not dismissive.
"I like the idea," Vince said. "But I can't be sure the WWE Universe knows you the way you think they do. You've had momentum, yes, but this is WWE. It's a different kind of beast than FCW and TNA."
Stephanie and Triple H both released a near imperceptible breath of relief. That Vince didn't shoot the idea down outright was a very good sign.
For him to even entertain a debut that big, with so many moving parts, meant he was being far more open than expected. Likely, they both assumed, because of who Sandro was, the son of Jack Zhang, second largest shareholder of WWE and CEO of Nexum Core Inc.
Sandro gave a small, respectful nod. "Of course. I understand, sir. Thank you for at least considering such an idea."
Encouraged by the reception of his first idea, Sandro smiled lightly. He had started off on solid ground. So he pushed forward with his next idea.
"I don't want to win the Royal Rumble match," he said. "I think the three of you already have someone in mind to win it and I respect that. But I'd like to be in the final four, maybe even the final three. Share the ring with some of the biggest names. Maybe eliminate one or more people before arriving in that spot, even eliminate one or two of the two big names. Then get eliminated, but with enough spotlight to establish myself."
There was a pause.
This request made Triple H and Stephanie turn to Vince again. It wasn't an outrageous idea in theory, but considering the Royal Rumble's significance and how tightly Vince typically controlled its outcome, even suggesting a change in that space could be a bit much.
Vince's eyebrows rose slightly. He sat back, eyes still narrowed in thought. "Hmph."
The silence stretched.
He finally spoke. "That match has been laid out already. Every step of it. From the surprise entrants to the final four, three, two, and the winner. It's not an easy thing to just… change."
Sandro nodded immediately. "I understand, sir. I didn't mean to imply I wanted to rewrite everything. Just… if there's room, if there's a way to make it work without disrupting what you've already planned, I would be honored to be considered for a spot in that final moment."
Vince looked at him, tapping the table again. He said nothing for a moment longer, then gave a nod.
"I'll think about it."
To anyone else, those four words might sound noncommittal. But to Stephanie and Triple H, seasoned veterans of Vince's decision making, that was the closest thing to a tentative yes. If Vince said he'd think about it, he was genuinely open to the idea.
Stephanie blinked, impressed. Triple H raised his eyebrows at her slightly, as if to say, "Damn, he actually said it."
Sandro caught that subtle shift and inclined his head respectfully. "Thank you again, sir."
Stephanie leaned forward now. "Is there anything else you want to share?"
"Yes," Sandro said with a nod. "I'd prefer to have a meaningful rivalry to start my WWE career. Something real. A feud that can help tell a story and establish who I am before I go anywhere near the United States or Intercontinental title scenes."
Triple H nodded slowly. "Smart. That'll let the fans get emotionally invested. Build anticipation instead of just hot shotting you into a title scene."
Vince also nodded. "Good. That's what I want to hear. You've got your priorities straight."
"And eventually," Sandro said carefully, "I'd love to work my way up to a world title scene, but only when the story justifies it. I'm not in a rush."
Stephanie smiled. "That's very refreshing to hear, Sandro. It shows you're not thinking short term. You're thinking long term here and want to build your prestige in WWE."
Sandro took another breath and leaned in slightly.
"There's one last idea I'd like to share. And this one… I understand if it's a lot. But I hope you'll hear me out."
Vince arched a brow, folding his arms.
Sandro then told the three of them about the idea he had in mind. It was something that only the four of them knew about because Sandro understood how significant, how seismic, the request truly was. He didn't lay it out casually. He was careful, respectful, but firm. And the only thing Sandro remembered clearly from the moment he finished explaining it was Vince's face.
The transformation was immediate.
Vince's expression changed, his jaw clenched, his eyes sharpened, his hands stopped moving. He looked at Sandro as if he was trying to process whether he'd heard correctly. Stephanie's eyebrows shot up. Triple H's body leaned back in surprise, his lips parting but no words coming out.
They hadn't expected that.
Not at all.
"Absolutely not," Vince said suddenly, his voice a mixture of disbelief and finality. "That's too much. I'm not interested in that idea. Not one bit."
The words were heavy. Direct.
But Sandro, even under that intensity, didn't flinch. He took a breath and tried to meet Vince halfway.
"Sir, I understand why it sounds like a lot," Sandro began. "But think about it for a moment. From this idea, we can pull out multiple storylines. Arcs that could stretch for months. Maybe even years. We could craft something layered, something no one sees coming. Something that makes history."
Triple H, still visibly stunned, slowly began to recover from the shock. He looked at Vince, then at Stephanie, then back at Sandro. There was a pause. And then he nodded. "It's big," Hunter admitted. "But… he's not wrong. It has potential. If it's done right, it could reshape a lot. We'd just have to be careful."
