Four Paths and Eight Gates?
The crowd, upon hearing the past events, was mostly bewildered.
Shui Qingmeng, knowing the truth of history was hidden in the mist, explained, "Taoism began with the Yellow Emperor, but by the time of Zhang Jue, even though his father Zhang Ling first founded the Way Of The Celestial Masters, also known as the Five Pecks of Rice Religious Sect, the truth is that those who honored the Yellow Emperor's Tao formed many factions. Zhang Jue, with a different concept from Zhang Ling, established the Great Peace Dao independently, consolidating various Taoist factions into Louguan, Li Family, Dragon and Tiger, and Maoshan, while creating eight gates, thus gathering significant talents."
Wanyan Loushi sighed lightly, "It's always difficult to innovate but easy to follow established practices. Zhang Jue, who managed to reorganize Taoism across the land, was truly remarkable for this alone."
"But forced consolidation eventually leads to hidden dangers."
