Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 – Ceo as Ceo Alissenda

Ceo's POV

Now that I had rebuilt Francisco's home, I had decided to take in and work his job as a civilian servant in Valencia's magnificent city hall. So, two days later, I went to the city hall for the job, with my ID that says, "Ceo Alissenda."

I basically put my lineage with his, extinguished one, marking my place as his brother.

By looks, I looked like a 25-year-old one with brown hair and blue eyes.

I had tucked my fireman suit for later after work.

In the city hall, I clocked in at 8:20 a.m. and went to his desk, where I spent a part of my morning checking documents and census records of the deceased humans. I wasn't alone with transplanting my identity to a dead person's lineage; many of my firemen brothers and other death creatures, both members of the old-Dystopian-Order-turned-Order-of-Restoration-and-Preservation and as regular civilians, transplanted their single, no-last-name-identities to the snuff out lineages of dead humans. We were making up lineages, but we wanted it. We wanted to continue human societies both for ourselves and in honor of the departed. In fact, I heard that one of my fellow death creatures from the Psycho-Pass sector, Kai Takahashi, had transplanted his identity to a dead Jewish factory worker named David Kobayashi. He said and admitted he had killed David with his Dominator for being stressed out because the world was ending during Kal's dark reign. Now, Kai's new name is Kai Kobayashi-Takahashi. He honored David in his name and heart.

Now, after a lunch of Spanish fried chicken and some whole wheat bread, my next work was to arrange the new records for the death creatures who adopted new lineages and identities in this city.

Kai's POV

Here in Tokyo, what is now Tokyo, I was singing some Hebrew songs from David-san's Jewish prayer book while wearing his Jewish cap after a hard day at the automobile factory where he was a former worker. It was nighttime, and I had turned off the lights in my room so the menorah he used to light every night would light my room. Electricity in this world was restored by us, not just by restoring power plants but phasing out sources that relied on depletable resources in this world. The majority of our power source came from renewable resources like solar, wind, and geothermal. The apartment where David used to live in and where I was now a resident even had rows of solar panels on its flat roof.

And as I prayed the Hebrew psalms, I can feel the presence of David's spirit lingering within the unit. I felt wanted to apologize to him, butt the warmness of his spirit means that either I should cry for him later or postpone my repetitive apologies to him. I don't which one, but I will replay the corrected lines on my Dominator tonight after my Jewish prayers.
