Alvida, Nojiko, Marianne, Robin, Maya, Kalifa made their way up the mountain on foot. They walked up a path which had disappeared and there were just rocks which they were jumping around.
Marianne let out a dramatic groan. She stopped to lean against a boulder. "My feet are absolutely killing me," she complained as she rubbed her ankles. "Why do we have to walk through the dirt like this?" she asked.
Maya looked back. "Maybe we should have just taken the helicopter closer to the summit? It wouldn't be as hard on us," she responded.
Alvida didn't even break her stride. Her mace rested casually over her shoulder. "A little exercise is good for you," she said. "Besides we are getting close," she added.
"I agree with not taking Glimstorm for this path," Kalifa added as she touched her glasses. "Before, I was required to run up mountains every single day before breakfast. This is a light stroll by comparison," she said.
Marianne looked shocked. "Impressive," she said.
"Some people are just different," Nojiko remarked. "Nami often tells me she deals with monsters on her crew,"she added.
"We have our own monster," Robin said. "He can be very scary at night time," she remarked.
"My love is pleasurable," Alvida said. The girls all smiled. They continued to walk up the mountain.
Robin walked slightly apart from the group. "Nature is truly beautiful here," she mused.
Marianne nodded. "It sure is," she responded with a smile on her face. A butterfly flew in front of her.
Nojiko shielded her eyes from the bright sun. "This mountain is huge. That cave entrance could be anywhere," Nojiko said.
"Don't worry," Alvida said as she pointed toward a cliffside near the lower ridge. "When we were flying the Glimstorm earlier, I saw a strange opening near the bottom of that ravine. It didn't look natural," she added.
They hiked down toward the spot Alvida had spotted earlier. They approached the area where they found a section of the cliff wall covered in a dense, unnatural pile of dry twigs and thorny brush.
"How did you even spot this from the air?" Maya asked.
"It looked suspicious," Alvida replied with a smirk. "The shadows didn't match the rest of the rock face," she added.
"Still you have some good eye sight like Kaya and Vivi," Nojiko responded.
Kalifa stepped forward. Her black heel clicked against a stone. "Storm Leg," Kalifa said as she moved and kicked the air. She sent a compressed blade of air. It hit the twigs and sent them flying away. The debris cleared and revealed a dark, man-made entrance carved directly into the mountain.
"Are we going in?" Maya questioned.
"Of course we are," Nojiko responded.
"It is going to be an adventure," Marianne remarked.
The group walked inside and the temperature dropped instantly as they left the sun behind. Their eyes adjusted to the dim light.
Then they saw the walls were covered in ancient drawings. "Look at this," Robin whispered. She saw a roundish shaped monster with three arms, with one extending from the middle of its torso. It was in the centre of what looked like a big island.
"These are drawings of Shushibaruba," Robin said.
"Shushibaruba?" Marianne questioned.
Why would this be here?" Nojiko questioned.
Kalifa adjusted her glasses, "The World Government archives have absolutely no information on this entity in general," Kalifa remarked.
"That is very strange," Robin thought aloud. "If the Government doesn't know, it means someone purposefully erased it," she added.
"The elderly women in the village said this island was one big island long ago," Alvida noted.
"Was this the reason?" Nojiko asked. "Did this 'Shubrisha' break the island apart?" she questioned.
"This does look ominous," Maya commented.
"He was definitely a pain to deal with," Nojiko said.
"We don't know yet," Robin said "But we need to tell Ben and the others," she added.
"Agreed but for now lets keep going ahead and get the Life Gem," Alvida remarked.
The girls moved deeper into the mountain. The tunnel narrowed until it opened into a circular, small chamber. In the center stood a tall, purple stone statue.
"What is that?" Marianne asked.
As soon as the girls entered the chamber, the stone skin of the statue began to crack and shatter. It revealed a machine with a pointed golden head-piece, a purple torso with glowing green veins and gold decorative scrolls. It had two large, floating purple fists. It hovered over a small, chalice-like base that ends in a sharp, glowing blue crystal tip.
"Violet General," Nojiko said.
"Why is that here?" Maya questioned.
"Dipper Death," Violet General said as he spawned razor-sharp Cat Claws on his arms and slashed in a flurry of swipes toward Alvida. The metal claws hissed through the air.
Alvida ducked beneath the frantic slashes. "Slip on Slide," Alvida said as she leaned forward and let her feet slide effortlessly across the ground. She slipped past the General. "There is no time to discuss that, we need to take it down," she added.
Marianne took the Yellow Gun and aimed it. She pressed the trigger and fired a dice shaped bullet towards Violet General. The bullet hit the General and caused a massive explosion. There was a black cloud of smoke.
Violet General dashed out from the smoke cloud. There were dents on his body. Violet General spun around. His chest plate shifted. "Igarappa," Violet General said as he spawned a metallic saxophone. He blew into it three times and shot high-caliber rounds.
"Paper Art," Kalifa said as she relaxed her body. She moved to the right like a piece of paper and dodged the rounds. The rounds hit the cave wall and exploded.
"Hex`s Fire," Maya said as she scraped the sword on the ground. The friction created a black-colored flaming projectile that he launched at Violet General. The flaming projectile hit his torso and he was sent staggering backwards. The flame had blackened his armour.
"Lightning Blast," Nojiko said as she created a small cloud around her hand. She then released one intense lighting bolt at Violet General. Violet General got hit in the chest by the bolt. The bolt had travelled through his body and out the other side.
At that moment, Violet General's legs suddenly compressed. "Spring Snipe," Violet General said as he turned the lower half of its body into a giant spring and jumped high into the air. He dived down towards Robin.
"Once Fleur," Robin said as she sprouted 11 arms on the ceiling and caught the General mid-air. "Throw," she said as she redirected his momentum and slammed him into the wall instead of her. The wall started to crack.
"Let's finish this quickly!" Alvida shouted.
"Kanabo Crusher," Alvida said as she lifted the kanabo high and swung it down in a crushing blow, pulverizing the General's head. The helmet was dent and out of shape. General Violet staggered back.
"Cloud Surge," Nojiko said as she created dense storm clouds around the small cave. It covered Violent General. "Lightning Drill," Nojiko added as the cloud darkened. She combined the lightning bolt and rotated. It came down and struck with such force on Violet General. The bolt pierced the chest and went through it. Violet General dropped to the ground. There was smoke arising from the hole.
Kalifa took her whip out. She looked at Violet General covered in dark clouds. "Executive Decision," Kalifa said as she snapped Lovethorn in a lightning-fast strike. She whipped the metal general and hit his body. The whip pierced the metal armour and left dents.
The Violet General struggled to get up. There was smoke coming out of his body.
"Dieciséis Fleur ," Robin said as she sprouted sixty arms on Violet General all over the place. "Hold," Robin said as she used her arms to immobilise him.
Marianne aimed her Yellow Gun. She fired a dice-shaped bullet. The projectile whistled through the air and spun rapidly as it locked onto the General's chest.
At that same moment, Maya gripped her blade with both hands. "Hex's Arc Wave," Maya said as she concentrated and felt the sword draw her energy. The red metal of the blade got brighter and brighter. She swung her sword with a powerful horizontal stroke and fired a large red beam at the Violet General. The energy wave flew through the air at a great pace and hit the mechanical warrior directly in the center.
Both attacks combined together and destroyed the Violet General in a violent explosion. The dice-shaped bullet shattered the outer plating just as the red arc wave tore through the internal armour. There was a massive plume of fire and smoke. When the air cleared, nothing remained of the Violet General but scorched fragments of metal scattered against the cave walls.
"We did it," Nojiko said with a smile on her face.
"It was easy," Marianne remarked.
"We have gotten strong," Alvida said as she walked to the central pedestal. She picked up the Life Gem. It had a pointed golden head with a glowing green body.
