Chapter 170 - 2

Chapter 2: Just Another Day for Your Friendly Neighbor

"I'll be heading out now, Mom," Izuku informed his mother as he was prepared to head out to buy groceries for today's dinner.

"Bye, sweety. Please be careful out there," Inko said sweetly to her son.

"I always am. And even if things go wrong, the Heroes will just get me out of trouble," He shrugged while fighting the urge not to cringe because of his own words.

"I know, but even still. The best days of our lives are when everything is boring," She insisted, preferring to remove Heroes and villains from the equation.

"I promise to steer clear of whatever nonsense Musutafu throws next time," Izuku promised as he exited their apartment and ventured into the city that never sleeps because of its high crime rate.

The sun cast long shadows as he strolled down the sidewalk, the bustling city life humming around him. His thoughts were focused on the mundane task at hand—a simple trip to the grocery store. Unbeknownst to the passersby, a spider-themed costume waited unseen beneath his clothes, a silent reminder of the responsibilities he burdens himself with.

Almost a week has passed since the battle Webjack had against the strange but deadly League of Villains. From what he learned from the news that UA would allow to be distributed, there were no casualties in the battle, and all but three of the villains were captured following the aftermath. Izuku hopes that it's true that no one died. Sure, the Class 1-A students have to at least be half as good as Bakugo to make it into such a prestigious University for future Heroes, but those villains were nothing to scoff at, even if their numbers were just for show.

UA closed for the time being following the incident to give the students, mainly the ones involved in the attack, time to recover and for the Staff to make more preparations to keep something like that from happening again.

If he timed it right, UA should open up after the next weekend, so everything should go back to normal, but Izuku knows better and cannot shake off the worry he feels. Not for the university itself, but for what this so-called League does next. The name itself isn't remarkable in the slightest. If anything, they seemed more like a hyper-violent Team Rocket, and that alone is enough to come up with a bunch of bad jokes that were bound to make people laugh for once.

Seriously, how could he not get those right?

If they're smart, and he highly doubts it if Tomura Shigaraki is the leader, they'll buy their time by a lot and wait to reinforce their forces and come up with more concrete strategies that don't involve trying to assassinate the strongest man in the world. Overpowered psychic powers aside, if Izuku could take down that Nomu, there was no way All Might could be defeated. At best, Nomu would entertain the Symbol of Peace for a minute and a half. Insanely impressive in the grand scheme of things, but ultimately a waste of time.

Izuku is still a mega fan of All Might at heart, even if he doesn't visually show it anymore, like how he hid away all of his All Might collectibles with the goal to sell them one at a time to make some quick yen for his Vigilante life. A single All Might merchandise is worth a lot, more so over time, and if Izuku picks the right All Might zealot, he could amass a fortune.

The decision to do such a thing was like getting hit by a speeding train. His childhood was practically wasted worshipping All Might, searching high and low for anything related to him for himself. His room was more like a shrine, but now it's nearly an empty husk, something that gave his mother a lot of shock.

He couldn't tell his mother the real reason, but settled for a half-truth. Izuku wants to start his life fresh now that he no longer wishes to be a Pro-Hero, and removing the merchandise without throwing anything away is a start.

Inko was supportive of her son's decision, happy to see him try to rebuild himself, yet at the same time, Izuku sensed that she wasn't truly happy with his decision to abandon Heroics. Pro-Heroics that is.

It pained Izuku to deceive his Mother so often. Pretending not to be injured after battles was partially easy thanks to his insane healing factor, but still difficult emotionally. Being Webjack now means more to him than his own life. He can't go back to being Deku again. He refuses. And so he will continue to live this double life despite knowing that one day his world will come crashing down on him. Because he knows in his heart that it'll be worth it.

As Izuku approached the street corner, getting closer to the grocery store, the urban routine was disrupted by an abrupt commotion. Izuku's instincts kicked in, and he turned his attention towards the unfolding scene.

Kamui Woods, a rising star and Pro-Hero known for his tree-like abilities, was engaged in a battle with a disfigured-looking villain, not deformed because he's a Heteromorph but because his face has clear signs that he suffered an accident that damaged it, and he looks livid and unhinged. His Quirk grants him the power to produce gas from his body that he seems capable of hardening for blunt force attacks.

'Another awesome Quirk wasted with villainy,' Izuku lamented, amazed at the display before him.

The skirmish played out before Izuku's eyes, and Kamui Woods exhibited newfound strength. He was impressive enough when he made his debut, but anyone who's blind can tell that he's been training hard and getting better and better. Izuku couldn't help but feel a twinge of satisfaction.

When he started as Webjack the only thing he could get right was the web swinging but without rhythm he could not bear to be seen, which is why he regretted screaming from both fear and excitement because of how overwhelming it all was, garnering the attention of hundreds of spectators, including nearby Pros like Kamui Woods who marched to arrest him for disturbing the peace and using a Quirk publicly. And in all fairness, Izuku is technically a criminal for committing so many violations in just one day.

Being chased by a Hero was not fun at first, but thankfully, his lack of experience could be forgiven since his immense strength was too much for the Arbor Hero, who was knocked out cold with a single kick.

That was the beginning of a never-ending chase as almost every Pro kept gunning for him, none more so than Kamui himself, along with his good friend Death Arms, whom Izuku also embarrassed in their first encounter. Both were unintentional, of course. But the ones he really pissed off were the Flame Hero: Endeavor, and worst of all, the Rabbit Hero: Mirko.

Chills started running down Izuku's spine at the mention of that bunny-eared Heroine. Out of all the predators, she's the one he never wants to deal with again. If he were an orphan, he would let Endeavor burn him alive to avoid another confrontation with Mirko, but he has a mother waiting for him back home, so, again, he gets to live to be a horrible son another day.

Seeing that Kamui Woods has everything under control, Izuku decides to take another route. It'll take longer, but at least he should be safe, after all, the number of street thugs in back alleys has been largely absent ever since the manhunt for him began.

Sadly, his Spider-Sense started singing a different tune.

Amidst the chaos, a getaway van carrying four thugs barreled through the streets, leaving chaos in its wake. Three police cars, already dealing with the situation at hand, were soon derailed when the driver made the risky decision to get close to the fight between the Hero and the Villain, causing the police to halt, more afraid to get caught in the Metahuman crossfire than the criminals.

Kamui noticed the van and tried to stop them by spreading his wood to cover a wider area, but the Gas Villain made that impossible, producing tangible missiles that destroyed every piece of wood, giving the fellow lawbreakers time to escape while seemingly giving himself an opening to launch a lethal blow to the Hero, but Kamui Woods wasn't going to fall for it.

Whatever hesitation Izuku had to put on the mask again dashed away; it was clear that the Hero was on his own in this fight, so he had to be the one to catch the runaway van.

He turned away from the ongoing battle and ever-growing crowd, slipping into a nearby alley. Out of sight from the public eye, triggering his invisibility power, and scaled the walls by running, reaching the ceiling, where he initiated the transformation into Webjack.

His costume was stitched up as best he could with the sewing skills Inko taught him and replaced the eye lenses with new ones that will last longer.

Once fully suited up, he descended back to street level, tracking the criminals through the city's chaotic traffic. The criminals have a head start, but as All Might told the UA Staff, it's not just his physical prowess that's Superhuman; his five senses are also enhanced and are just as reliable as his sixth sense. It wasn't too difficult to hear the sound of turmoil that could only be caused by a van driving madly with no concern for collateral damage. The panicked screams of the citizens who either witnessed the runaway van or were nearly hit helped, too, and soon the chase began.

The van, now weaving through traffic, was unaware of the unseen vigilante hot on its trail. In the midst of their rampage, one unsuspecting teenager was just minding his business without a care in the world and deaf to all sounds because of his headphones, and so he made no motion when he was about to be run over by the van filled with heartless criminals who were in too much of a hurry to care who they might kill.

Mercifully, an unseen force grabbed onto the boy and leaped him out of the way, his shocked expression a clear sign that he had nothing to do with his salvation.

"Lucky kid. Think he'll be arrested just for using his Quirk to save himself?" One of the thugs asked.

"By today's end, he'll wish we had run him over," The one steering the wheel said, confident that the laws of this unfair world will be harsh as always.

The kid will be okay because his Quirk, which lets him talk to animals as though they are speaking any human language, couldn't have saved him, and so Law Enforcement can't do anything harsh, even if they tried.

In reality, it was Webjack who saved the kid while invisible to prevent losing the element of surprise. Once he was sure the kid was okay and just startled by the spontaneous tackle, he resumed his chase. After getting himself high above the buildings, he became visible again before charging down, landing on the roof of the speeding vehicle, using his webbing to maintain balance as he sought an opportune moment to intervene.

Acting with urgency and with a fluid motion, he descended onto the back of the van, unseen by the startled criminals inside.

"What's up, Danger!" Webjack announced as he webbed the driver's side mirror, yanking it off in a spectacular display of strength. The sudden loss of control forced the van to swerve dangerously.

Panicking, the thieves inside scrambled to regain control. Meanwhile, Webjack maintained his grip on the roof, ready to incapacitate them when the opportunity was presented.

Utilizing his webbing, he shot a series of strands to immobilize the criminals. The sticky threads adhered to their limbs, hindering their movements. With efficiency born from months of experience, he swiftly neutralized the threat, ensuring the safety of civilians.

As the authorities closed in on the apprehended criminals, Webjack leaped from the stopped van and departed, aiming to retrace his steps, returning to the rooftop where he left his civilian clothes.

All in all, things didn't turn out so bad.

Or at least he kept telling himself, because once he was three streets away from the scene of the crime. He was attacked by a giant hand that slapped him, stumping him into the wall of a building like a bug. The thought alone made Webjack cringe at how often he still has to correct this mistake.

"HA! I finally got you!" Cheered a giantess of a woman. Another upcoming Pro-Hero consistently outshone by Webjack is the Peak Hero: Mount Lady.

She removed her hands from where she had lammed Webjack through. Creating a hole in the fifth floor of the building was something she expected to happen and could easily pay for. The other thing she expected to find was an unconscious or momentarily startled vigilante for her to nab and finally gain the recognition she deserves for at last catching the vigilante that not even the #2 Hero in Japan could catch.

The greedy smile of ecstasy on her face as she fantasized about her newfound fame creeped out spectators within the building. Her smile quickly faded when she saw that Webjack was nowhere in sight.

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME!" She seethed, moving her face closer to inspect the building's fifth floor for her prey and the one above and below, but found nothing.

"Mount Lady! My Princess!" Webjack called to her from behind, and she turned around, flabbergasted to see him dangling in his signature upside-down pose.

How?

While the Heroine was busy searching for him, the Vigilante took a moment to reach the top of the building, at least three stories taller than her and the one behind her; he made a webline to connect the two, leaped into the middle, and dangled himself down.

"You know you could've just called if you wanted another date," Webjack mused.

"How did you—"

"—I know! I missed you too, but alas, my previous ordeal safeguarding the children that would succeed us back then nearly claimed my life, so I had to disappear to tend my wounds," He interrupted her, getting overly dramatic as though they were in a romantic play. "I'm so sorry that I made you worry, but I couldn't risk our enemies knowing about our home away from home. But now that I'm back, we can—"

Now it was his turn to be abruptly interrupted as Mount Lady angrily clapped her hands together to try to squash him again.

"YOU ARE NOT FUNNY!" She screamed while blushing madly, but Webjack fled before she could hit him this time.

A new chase was on.

"You look upset. Should I walk you home?" Webjack asked while he swung away.

"As if I'd let you within a mile of my house!" She snapped, running after him relentlessly, waving her hands left, right, up, down, sideways, every possible angle to limit his movement. Her size made it possible for her to keep up with her fast prey.

"Oh! Are you having difficulty redecorating your place, too? I share your pain," Webjack groaned with genuine frustration. "Maybe we can help each other."

He let himself fall into the street, hitching a ride on a car desperate to get away from the angry giantess, forcing Mount Lady to think carefully about how to catch the vigilante without endangering the person in the car.

With a mix of fortune and misfortune, up ahead, a woman with a baby wagon a few feet away from the chaotic scene is paralyzed with shock upon witnessing the display, so much so that she carelessly lets go of the wagon, and it and the baby in it are pushed in the middle of the street, about to get run over.

Witnessing this before the driver, Webjack is forced to swing forward, reaching the wagon first and gently pushing the child back to her mother, who snapped out of it. The driver pulled over just as the vigilante leaped into the air to escape, but Mount Lady caught up to him, kicking him in the back and sending him flying upwards.

"With the way you dress, who are you to judge?" She sneered, lifting her right arm to catch him.

"Aww, babe. You wound me," Webjack quickly recovered from her kick and web-zipped to the building on his left. "My mom taught me everything I know about how to sew my costume."

He flew straight into an open window, landing inside the living room of an apartment, startling a family who were having dinner beside where he was crawling.

"And I bet she's so proud of your extracurricular activities," Mount Lady sarcastically mocked, her glaring right eye visible in the same window, further startling the family.

"Tell you what. When we both feel like we're ready to introduce each other to our parents, you and her can talk all you like about my life choices," He suggested as he made a run for the door to this apartment and went left.

"Good idea! And by the way—" Mount Lady placed her hand on the top of the building, seemingly to lift herself on top of it, but at the right moment she deactivated her Quirk, shrinking herself to normal size and at the same time pulling herself onto the rooftop.

She makes a run for it, reaching the other side, inwardly hoping she picked the right spot, and jumps.

"—You still owe me for ruining my chances—"

And as she predicted, Webjack fled the building by going west.

"—To buy myself that beautiful garden!" She roared, tackling the Spider while still in the air, with both of them falling hard.

Acting quickly, Webjack fired a webbing at the top of the building in time to stop their fall, only inches from hitting the ground. And as though by chance, a man selling flowers was walking beside them, and without noticing, Webjack picked up a flower.

"For you," He said seductively before his webline started to pull them up, but he forced her off him so only he got sent flying while she remained with a rose in her hand.

"I'M NOT DONE!" She seethed, resuming the run while slowly and carefully turning giant again without hurting anyone.

While she was doing so, she noticed a woman around the same age as her being harassed by two men making advances on her. Slowing down for a bit, she lowered herself to their level and shouted.

"GET LOST!" Her shout and menacing glare put the fear of God into the two who ran away, crying out to their mothers. The rescued woman was also jumpy by her arrival, but immensely grateful for the rescue.

"You're an inspiration to Heroines everywhere." Webjack turns back due to being moved by her rescue.

"Thank you. I expect every little girl to want to grow up to be like yours truly," She smirked, sounding proud of herself before her brain started working again, realizing who was complimenting her. "YOU ASS!"

"I'm serious. When little girls see you in action, they'll be lining up to be the next big superheroines," He insisted. "I don't know why you're so hung up about going to the top when you're already expected to be there."

"I will be once you're in my clutches," Mount Lady declared.

"Aww, but girl—" He again got seductive, momentarily wall-running sideways while he joined his hands together, making something with his psi-webs. Once he was done, he leaped in front of the Heroine, revealing to her a web-shaped heart that he skillfully crafted. The expression of his lenses indicated a smile underneath the mask. "—I already am."

Whatever he was expecting with this stunt, it certainly wasn't for her anger to skyrocket, but her face becoming as red as a tomato is considered a success.

"YOU TWO-TIMING PIG!" Her scream was so loud that she unexpectedly fired a sonic blast from her mouth, as though she combined her Quirk with Present Mic's.

Far from the chase, a robbery is happening in a jewelry store as a villain with a Fire Quirk bursts out of it with the entrance set ablaze, along with his right hand, while in his left hand, he is carrying a large bag with everything he stole.

"I was right. This is going to be the easiest heist ever!" He laughed, about to make his escape, but halted when Webjack crash-landed in the street in front of him, momentarily dazed after being flown a mile away.

"I really should have seen that coming," He moaned. "I mean, Gigantification is surely to do more than give the user enhanced strength and durability. Both can be used for so many awesome Special Moves."

He got back on his feet, trying to readjust himself, and luckily noticed the Fire Villain, who was a little flabbergasted by his violent arrival.

"Hey, man. That's a sweet fortune you have right there. Hope you don't mind sharing," He said, instantly shooting a web at the bag and pulling the stolen jewelry away from him.

"You Bastard!" He roared, about to attack, but first had his eyes covered by a web shot that blinded him, and yet he still rushed forward to attack the vigilante and take back his stolen goods. Webjack jumped around him, and in the nick of time, Mount Lady arrived and squashed the Villain with her foot, instantly taking him down.

"Great teamwork," Webjack praised, tossing the stolen jewelry back to the store owner, who was taking out the fire with his Fire Extinguisher-like Quirk. He may not be a Hero, but he does have a different kind of permit that allows him to use it to protect his property.

"You don't get to pull that crap on me after what you did!" Mount Lady shouted, and the hunt resumed. "I know about you and Ryukyu's soon-to-be new sidekick!"

"Nejire-Chan? But we only met that one time, catching the shrinking Villain in Jaku," Webjack argued, not sure what she was talking about, evading her next foot.

"And yet you still bothered to learn her name. That's pretty telling to me,"

"She's impossible to forget with how big her mouth is," He recalled more vividly who she was talking about. Nejire Hando is beautiful and sweet, but damn, she needs to learn when to shut up. He didn't know how people felt dealing with his Spider charade until they met, and it sucks.

'I've indulged myself long enough,' Izuku thought, aiming to lose her this time and whatever Pros might show up soon, making his way to an alleyway, halting Mount Lady's hunt.

"Dammit!" She cursed. She contemplates doing what she did before, but figures he might expect it and evade her next time, so she decides to do something she was reluctant to do many times before and shrinks herself so that she can traverse the alley better.

Before, she was afraid of doing so since she was vulnerable to any ambush, but her determination would not allow her fears to dictate her actions.

"Sorry, honey. But I've got to get to work now," Webjack bid her farewell, but she couldn't see him.

"Oh no! I'm gonna get you. I'm gonna get you!" She reassured herself, running faster, but instead, she was the one who got caught as a series of tree branches came out of the other side of the alley, entangling her in a cage she was very familiar with but had never been inside of it.

"Got you! Your reign is over, Spider—LADY!" Kamui Woods was the culprit who attacked after hearing Webjack's modulated voice, but ended up catching his comrade, who is even more pissed.

"YOU FUCKING DEGENERATE!"

By the time the two got their bearings, Webjack was long gone.

He retraced his steps, returning to the roof where he had left his civilian clothes. With practiced ease, he hid the costume within his clothes, once again becoming the unassuming figure navigating the city streets.

Izuku's heart raced, not only from the physical exertion but also from the complete fool he was.

So desperately, he trained to further his disguise as a Vigilante by making sure that Webjack was an entirely different person from Izuku Midoriya. Wearing a mask and using a voice modulator while looking like a loser beyond being just Quirkless was not enough of a disguise, so he forced himself to take on a split personality of a more confident and brave individual who hid his insecurities and fears by using jokes who are only funny because of how unbearably bad they are that serves no purpose other than to annoy people, mainly his enemies to get them to lose focus and make mistakes.

But no, he had to go even further by turning Webjack into a shameless flirt who plays with the feelings of any pretty girl he sets his sights on. The ones that attack him at least, but it's still awful. He regrets the way he treated Mount Lady, but Webjack is practically another person who takes over his body when he puts on the mask.

Or maybe that's just an excuse Izuku made up to justify his bad actions. So long being denied friends, never once getting to chat with a girl, made him frustrated, sexually on some level, and being constantly hounded by the biggest woman in Japan only made things worse.

He can't deny that it does feel good talking to people without the fear of their rejection getting to him, but that victory is symbolic at best.

Putting aside his identity crisis on hold for now, he continues his journey to the grocery store and hopes that his dinner time with his mother turns out better for Izuku Midoriya than Webjack's day.

Things would escalate since all around the city, multiple people recorded the chase between Webjack and Mount Lady, causing the internet to explode with the visual lovers' spat that was shown with multiple reactions by both Pro-Heroes and Heroes in Training.

Among them is Minoru Mineta, who is watching today's events with ungodly interest in his room through his computer.

"I don't understand. I do mostly the same thing as him, and yet a girl's first instinct is to leave me bloodied and beaten, but when this guy flirts with women, they beat him up and are interested at the same time," He moaned with ugly envy, knowing by the videos that Mount Lady clearly likes Webjack enough to enjoy every single chase between them. Some fans speculate that she lets him escape just to prolong the fun.

"Next time I see this bastard, I'm going to pin him to the ground," Denki Kaminari muttered, also of the same mind as he watched the videos on his phone while he lay in his bed.

"—Look him dead in the eye and tell him—" Mineta said with a now murderous look.

"—PLEASE ACCEPT ME AS YOUR APPRENTICE!" The two cried at once, so desperate to have a hot girlfriend that they would gladly partner up with a vigilante to get one.

Mina Ashido was also watching the recent chase on the news on her phone and was not amused. Her dead expression gave her parents the creeps; not sure what she was seeing that would make her behave this way.

"He can do so much better than that glory-slut,"

The Hero Flame Wars are nothing new. Fans not only bicker about defending their favorite Heroes and bashing the ones they hate, but also have some intense debates about which pair would make a perfect couple. People have lost count of how many times All Might was shipped with one Heroine after another.

The madness was so crazy that someone as reclusive as Shoto Todoroki, who hates anything to do with Quirk Marriages, has been an avid reader of them, and now the Flame Wars are gazing its attention on the alleged new power couple between Webjack and Mount Lady.

"I wonder what a giant spider-person would look like?" The son of the #2 Hero wondered out loud.

"Damn you, Takeyama!" Speaking of Endeavor, Enji Todoroki is standing right behind his son, watching the online madness from Shoto's phone out of curiosity about what got his son intrigued, and was not amused by the topic Mount Lady started again. "You're a disgrace to Pros everywhere, playing around with that bug." He snapped before heading for the kitchen, which is where Shoto is also heading.

Normally, Shoto would feel sick to his stomach to be so near to his loathsome father, but ever since Webjack came into the picture, Endeavor's violent outbursts have been so comical that Shoto has been expressing one too many mocking smirks.

His father is almost as obsessed with catching the web-slinger as he is with surpassing All Might. Ever since their first encounter, which ended with Webjack fleeing from his father's grasp and tossing him headfirst into a fountain, the Flame Hero's anger and fire have known no boundaries. He's barely at home anymore, spending more time in his Agency trying to hunt down the Spider.

Something Shoto appreciates, and secretly, had he known sooner that a Vigilante would have pissed him off this badly, he would've thrown away his future career as a Hero and gone into Vigilantism instead.

As a member of Class 1-A in UA, Shoto was also present in the USJ when the League of Villains attacked. To say that Shoto was initially disappointed by the first villains he fought was an understatement. Those thugs were a complete bore, and getting them to confess that they attacked to kill All Might was honestly a funny joke, but his disappointment was too great to laugh.

Then he saw this secret weapon, Nomu, fight Webjack instead. The videos and comments he saw and read about him don't do him justice. The Vigilante was impressive; no way of knowing if Nomu was as strong as the villains believed it was, but Shoto had to admit that he might have or mightn't have fared any better.

Of course, when All Might showed up, it was clear that there was no competition as of yet; the Symbol of Peace is practically a god among men. Still, for him to rely on Webjack to save one of his classmates was jaw-dropping. If Shoto wasn't interested in the Vigilante before, he certainly is now.

"You know I looked it up with my teachers and online, and arachnids are a different breed than insects, and the confusion is like an inside joke to test if someone is smart or not," Shoto blurted out in obvious mockery of his father's intelligence.

"Don't start defending a criminal, boy," Endeavor warned as the two sat to have dinner.

"I'm just stating the facts,"

Beside the two is Shoto's sister, Fuyumi, who is smiling because, despite what it may look like, this is the closest her father and youngest brother are to being civil with each other, and just like that, she knew today was going to be a good day.

"Utterly repugnant! Such behavior is unacceptable for a Pro! And is that any way to treat a woman? How shameless. As expected of a vigilante. This cannot be allowed to continue!" Tenya Iida protested, disgusted with the chase being reviewed on TV.

"He's a handful, but having first experience working with Mount Lady, I can say that I expect nothing less," The Turbo Hero: Ingenium, Tensei Iida said with an amused grin, sitting beside his little brother on a couch. Tensei took a break from his Hero Agency and went to visit his family for dinner, but before that, he and Tenya were watching the news, only to watch this embarrassment.

"How did someone like her become a Pro if this is how she behaves in public?" Tenya huffed indignantly.

"She's nicer than you'd think, but yeah, I question it sometimes myself," Tensei sighed with exasperation. "Then again, the Commission sure loves Heroes with flashy Quirks, and it doesn't get much flashier than a Giantess."

"After much debate, I've concluded that for my secondary career, working in unison with my future Pro-Hero responsibilities is also to join the Hero Public Safety Commission and convince them to reevaluate how they qualify what makes one Hero material," Tenya said out of the blue, making his big brother chuckle.

"That's not… impossible," Tensei muttered, inwardly dreading Tenya being the president of the Commission. His parents have the same fear since they don't know where they went wrong to have their youngest son be so stuck-up and bossy. "Maybe you can make it so we can have Quirkless Heroes in the country again. Bring some more flavors back to Japan. America has it all these days, and their Support Items make me so jealous. It almost trumps having All Might around."

"Of course! You can count on me, brother!" Tenya declared with fierce determination.

In the Agency of the Dragoon Hero, Ryukyu receives a phone call. Before answering, she examines it and is a little intrigued to see it's a call from Nejire Hando, the third-year student and one of the Big 3 from UA, who started working under her as soon as she got her Provisional Hero License. People see her as just another one of her sidekicks, but Nejire is practically a Hero in her own right. She has a good heart, though her talkative nature can be unbearable, but it's what makes her endearing.

Curious to know what she might want when she should be focusing on her studies, Ryukyu answered. Only to immediately regret it.

"Do I really have a big mouth? Am I unforgettable just because people think I'm annoying?" Nejire blurted out, a cute pout on her face that Ryukyu didn't need to see to know it was there. She saw the videos, and Webjack's comment led to so many debates on who this big-mouthed girl was and her relationship with the Vigilante, so she called her personal Hero for counsel. "Yes, I talk a lot, but that's only because I like to connect with people. Can I be faulted for wanting to do so? Why does that automatically mean that I'm annoying? Is there something wrong with me? I don't think so. So why did Jackie say that? I thought we had something special—"

'This is going to be a long day,' Ryukyu lamented. She knew the Spider would be trouble, but if she had known earlier that he was a womanizer sooner, she'd have eaten him up in her Dragon Form during their first encounter.

In the hidden bar with no name that serves as a haven for villains, Tomura also watched the news of the recent activity of Webjack, and he could not help but laugh for a bit. To see Hero Society for what it is, just a bunch of showoffs making a mockery of everything to satisfy their egos, is always a delight.

"Kurogiri," Tomura addressed the black mist villain who also works as the bartender. "I know Master said not to bother with Webjack for now, but would he be mad if we came up with something for the future?"

"No, we're not going to kidnap Yu Takeyama just to use her as bait to draw Webjack into a trap," Kurogiri instantly declined, able to read his young ward as easily as a book for kindergarteners.

"Don't be like that. There's no way he would ignore something like that,"

"And neither would the other Pros. Mount Lady may be something of a laughing stock amongst her peers, but her abilities are no joke, and the Heroes won't just let one of their own get taken without any retaliation."

"I know that," Tomura shrugged, annoyed at the rejection. A guy can dream, can't he?
