Chapter 145 - 4-5

Chapter 4: Outing

Danny had finished unpacking all of his things and was putting them where they needed to be. It had been two days since he first arrived and tomorrow was when he would go to the school for the first time.

He was somewhat excited about it as it was something new, something that he could focus on and not have to panic every five minutes in case of a ghost attack.

Once he had put the last thing in the closet, he stood in the middle of his room and frowned. "I really need more stuff."

His closet wasn't even a quarter full, heck, he might even say that it wasn't even ten percent full.

The only thing on the desk that was in the corner of the room was his laptop and a single photo of his family and friends, on the table under the TV was the game console that he was able to bring with him in his traveling case, and the ghost equipment that his parents shoved into his packing were all tucked under the bed.

He really didn't think he would need any of them since he wouldn't see any of his enemies here.

"Yeah~, a lot more stuff." Once he knew that there was nothing else for him to unpack, he decided to head downstairs and just kick back on the couch to watch some TV. Once he made it to the couch, he saw a magazine that he had unpacked earlier. He picked it up and looked it over as he read what it said on the cover. "Tour the wonders of Japan: all the sights you can see throughout the country." this was something else that his sister packed for him cause she had a feeling that he might want to see what there was around him. He turned on the TV and flipped through the channels till he found a movie that he had heard of but never got the chance to see.

It was about a giant monster that could breathe energy blasts.

He opened the magazine and looked through it and since he wasn't trying to understand the movie, he kept the energy from his ears so that he didn't understand what was being said. He paused when that little tingling at the back of his skull was still there but chose to ignore it. "Let's see…the Shibuya crossing, a place where many of Tokyo shopping can be found. Then there are the Senso-ji and Meiji Jingu….they look like temples but are separate. Tokyo Skytree and the Tokyo tower…..might be a good place to just sit down and look at the city and it looks taller than the clocktower back home." He flipped the page and found one with a few museums. "If I tell everyone that I went to a museum that isn't space related, they would flip…..I should go just to mess with them. Oh! There is one about Studio Ghibli, from what I heard, all the movies from them are great. I need to find them to check them out, might be a good way to pass the time." He turned the page and saw there was another museum, but this one was of old-time Japan. That one perked his interest too since it looked interesting.

He kept flipping through the magazine till it shifted away from Tokyo. "Hmm, Kyoto, it looks like a really peaceful place. I could head over there if I want to get some peace and quiet. And it looks like a good place to just walk around." He paused as he realized that all the stuff he was saying sounded so different from what he usually does. "Huh, I guess after fighting so much and all the chaos that goes on in my life, I would get to the point where I would just want to kick back and do something simple." He smiled at that before shrugging and looking back at the magazine.

While Danny was looking through the magazine, two sets of eyes were watching the house he dwelled in.

"Do we have to watch this guy the entire day? I mean, can't we just leave a spell or something to keep his place safe?"

"That could alert anyone that has any sort of sense for magic to know there is something important in the house. Sona wants us to see if there is anything he has that would be useful. If he has a sacred gear that would benefit her, she is considering adding him to her peerage. Not to mention that, if she believes he could be useful for Rias's ….problem, she will bring him up to her."

The first voice answered in a pout. "I guess, but we haven't detected anything from him all morning. He's just been mulling around in there."

"Doesn't matter. If our king says we need to keep an eye on him, we will keep an eye on him.

~Meanwhile, Amity Park, Night time~

Dani flew down as she was being chased by a set of Ecto rabbits. "I always thought rabbits would be cute and cuddly, not scruffy and angry!"

The Ecto rabbit that was chasing her was the size of a bus and had large incisors ready to chomp down on her.

{Just be glad that they are rabbits and not gerbils. Those things are a headache, even for Danny. Just hurry up and take them down}

Dani frowned at the demand. "Rude." She pulled up in time for her to fly parallel to the ground and getting the rabbits to crash into the ground. She turned back and stuck her tongue out at them when they growled at her. "Bleh, catch me if you can." she flew off with the rabbits chasing her. She made her way toward the street before she turned around and held her hands out. With a bit of focus, her hands lit up and she caught them in telekinesis.

The rabbits struggled as they were being held in the air and their prey was right in front of them. They didn't get to struggle much as they were soon sucked up in the familiar beam of light. Once inside the thermos, Sam capped it before clipping it to her belt.

Sam walked out of the alley and looked at Dani. "Well, that's the end of that."

Dani floated over to her as Tucker joined the goth. "I could have captured them myself if you let me hold onto that." She pointed at the thermos on Sam's belt, something that was originally the ghost girl's.

Sam crossed her arms as she pointed out. "yeah, but you have a different style than Danny. He's able to handle things without causing so much damage now, you are still getting the hang of things."

Dani pouted as she crossed her arms. "I'm getting better."

Tucker patted Sam's shoulder. "Hey, she is getting better, she only destroyed three cars this time and she is improving faster than Danny."

Sam sighed as she nodded. "Yeah, but we still need to make sure that not much is done to the city. When the damage gets too big, we always get a visit from the Fruitloop, and that always ends up in even more damage.

Dani made a face as she really did not want to deal with that Frutiloop. It was something that she knew that she would have to deal with sooner or later since it would be obvious that Danny wasn't there. They needed to be ready for that since Vlad was a pain in the ass no matter what he did. Before Dani could say anything, she let out a gasp. "Uh, guys, we got-"

"Kyaaah!"

Dani didn't know what attacked her but she was tackled from the side and was brought into a constricting attack. 'Snake?'

"She looks just like Danny!"

Sam and Tucker were ready to attack whatever it was that set off Dani's ghost sense but when they saw who it was, they relaxed a bit.

Dani looked up to see the one that was constricting her head and saw green hair and eyes.

"Kitty, you should probably let her go before she attacks you since she has no idea who you are." came Tucker's voice after he saw that Dani was tensing up.

Kitty blinked before she looked down and saw a stern look on the girl's face. She let go of Dani's head.

Dani jumped back, ready to attack but she noticed that Tucker and Sam were standing next to the newcomer. "Uh, guys, do you know her?"

Sam sighed as she gestured to the green-haired biker ghost. "This is Kitty, one of Danny's ghost friends… I guess."

Kitty frowned as she put her hands on her hips. "Hey, me and Danny have been friends for a while now. You should stop seeing me as a threat since I don't cause trouble when I'm here."

Sam frowned at the biker girl. "maybe, but every time we see you here, you bring that-"

"Hey, babe, what's a sweet thing like you doing here?"

Sam, Kitty, and Tucker turned their heads to see that Johnny was hitting on Dani, who was leaning back from the guy.

Dani felt really uncomfortable by his actions and she had no idea how to respond. "uh…"

Johnny tried to up his charm as he jabbed his thumb over his shoulder at his bike. "what's say you and I go for a ride? I'm sure that I can-"

Bam*

Johnny didn't get to finish as Dani punched him in the face.

Kitty, who was ready to blow a kiss at Johnny and send him to her pocket dimension, smirked at how Dani handled him.

Dani still had her fist stretched out as she was still perturbed by what he was doing. "Sam, pass me the thermos so I can get rid of this guy."

Sam smirked herself as she was tempted to do that, but she was beaten in delivering punishment to Johnny when Kitty walked up to the downed ghost.

Johnny was holding his nose till a shadow came over him. He looked up to see a frowning Kitty. "Oh, hey, Kitten."

"Really, Johnny, we just get here and the first thing you do is flirt with Danny's cousin?"

Johnny tilted his head. "Wait, this is the one that the punk said was here to take over for him?"

Kitty rolled her eyes. "Duh, she looks just like him. Not to mention that she has his symbol." She pointed at the DP symbol Dani had on her chest.

Johnny had actually seen the symbol but his mind went past the symbol and on the chest that it belonged to. Once he realized that, he winced. "Oh."

"Yeah, 'oh'."

Johnny got up from the ground and tried to act as if nothing happened. "Hey, pipsqueaks."

Sam and Tucker rolled their eyes as Johnny was still acting as if he was the older one. Based on existence, that was true, but they were close to overlapping him already so it seemed odd for him to still act like it.

Dani took a step back as she didn't like Johnny.

Kitty saw this and waved her hand nonchalantly. "oh, don't worry about him, he's just a big dumb teddy bear-" she turned her head to glare at him. "-that knows what will happen to him if he tries to flirt again."

Johnny held up his hands in surrender. "I got it, Kitten."

Sam huffed as she turned to the better of the ghostly pair. "How did you even get here? The ghost portal is guarded now isn't it?"

Kitty waved her hand dismissively. "Lucky for us, Dora was there today and she said it was ok for us to come to the human world as long as we don't cause trouble. I told her that if Johnny did anything, I would send him away with my kiss. She knows that me and Danny are good and that I have control over this idiot."

"Hey!"

Kitty ignored Johnny. "And I wanted to meet Danny's cousin. He said that she would have his symbol but I didn't think that she would look just like him, or have his powers."

Dani felt nervous as she pulled her hoodie up. She looked at Sam and Tucker and asked. "Is she really friends with Danny?"

Tucker nodded. "Kitty is Danny's friend, Johnny is just a headache that Danny has to deal with when Kitty comes to visit."

"Hey!"

Dani looked at Kitty and slowly pulled her hoody down before walking up to her. "Hi, my name is Dani, with an I."

Kitty thought it was cute how Dani seemed to be shy about meeting new people but she figured that she could be good friends with her. "Hi, Dani, I'm Kitty, and the idiot over there is Johnny." She pointed to the biker that was heading to his bike.

Johnny didn't say anything this time as he figured that they would be talking about him no matter what he said.

Kitty and Dani began to talk, something that helped out with Dani getting used to the biker girl. Sam and Tucker even joined in as they began to talk about Danny and how they became friends.

Then Kitty asked. "So, did you guys hear from Danny since he left?"

Tucker shook his head. "Nah, he hasn't sent a message or called yet. He's probably too busy talking to all the new ladies around him."

Kitty raised an eyebrow at that. "What do you mean?"

Sam punched Tucker in the arm with a scowl on her face. "Tucker, he isn't you, he isn't going to flirt with every girl he sees."

Kitty waved her hands in front of her as she tried to comprehend what they were talking about. "Hold on, what's this about 'all the ladies'? Didn't he head to Japan for some school thing?"

Dani nodded. "Yeah, he went there 'cause he was accepted into some fancy academy thing."

Tucker pulled out his PDA and began to look at the pictures he saved. "But the school has uniforms and the ones they have for girls is-" He did a chef's kiss at the sight.

Johnny got curious and looked over Tucker's shoulder to look at what was on the PDA. "Oooh, nice."

Kitty frowned at that and moved to look at it. She pulled on Johnny's ear to get him to move and looked at the PDA. She saw the uniforms and could see why Johnny reacted like that. Remembering what was said, she shook her head. "Danny wouldn't go gaga over seeing girls in these outfits."

Tucker waved his PDA as he pointed at it. "Oh come on, how could he not?"

Kitty took a step back and held a hand to her side. "Because with how Danny is, he would have trouble forming words. Unlike you two, he isn't trying to get with every girl he sees."

Sam felt both angry and relieved hearing this. When she thought about it, Danny doesn't have any game and he is terrible at flirting so there was no way that he would get a girlfriend while over there. But she was still mad at how he would go stupid when he is around all those floozy girls. 'At least I don't have to worry about him getting a girl while he is over there.' She let out a huff while having another thought. 'He better not.'

Danny was walking through the streets as he wanted to go out exploring instead of being cooped up in his house.

Still a weird thing to think about since he never thought he would have a has of his own.

He looked down at the piece of paper in his hand before looking at his surroundings. "ok, it should be around here….somewhere." He turned the next corner and paused at the sight. "Holy crap!"

There was Kuoh Academy.

He had seen pictures of the school but it never gave the whole picture. If he could say anything about it from where he was standing, he could say….. It was big. Compared to his old school, this one was three, maybe four, times bigger than Casper High. "Finding anything in there will be a headache but hopefully I don't continue my habit of coming in late. But I'm new, so they might be lenient on me."

He wanted to find the school so he wouldn't have to spend the last minute running around to find the place.

"Welp, I found it, and it's not that far. Twenty to thirty-minute walk, not bad." He put the paper back in his pocket before looking around. "Ok, since I finished this, let's check out that super mall I saw in the magazine." He turned around and began to walk toward where he figured it would be. Walking was something he stopped doing recently so this was vaguely familiar to him. Why walk when you could fly but he was letting his powers rest right now so walking it was.

Hidden from view were three girls who were keeping an eye on him as he walked the streets. These were Tsubasa Yura, Tomoe Meguri, and Ruruko Nimura

Tsubasa Yura was a third year of the Kuoh Academy. She had short blue hair with the right side framing her face. She had aqua-blue eyes with a slightly angry stern expression and a slim muscular build. She was wearing tight jeans, a white T-shirt, a denim jacket, and a pair of simple sneakers. She was Sona's rook and leader of this little group.

Temoe Meguri was another third-year of the academy and Sona's knight. She had short burgundy hair that was tied in pigtails that reached her shoulders, and hazel eyes that showed excitement in them. She was wearing a yellow sundress that worked well with her figure, and sunglasses that could possibly be to hide her identity.

Ruruko Nimura, a second year of Kuoh and Sona's pawn. She had long brown hair that was tied in two pigtails that reached to her thighs, two green hair clips parting the hair from her face, and two strands in front of her aqua-green eyes. She was wearing a loose light lime green tank top and a burgundy short skirt.

Tsubasa shifted her eyes from the school and the direction the boy was heading. "At least we won't have to lead him to the school." She looked at the others and gestured in the boy's direction. "Let's go so we don't lose him."

The other two nodded as they began to make their way toward Danny's direction, making sure to keep a distance so he wouldn't notice them.

Danny looked up at the large 109 sign that belonged to the mall which was a popular tourist spot for anyone who was visiting. "Well, if there's any place that I would end up in, it's the mall. Wonder if they have shakes in there." He made his way inside, wondering what he would find inside

Behind him, the three girls stumbled through the massive crowd that was outside the mall.

Tsubasa looked around for any sign of him. "Did he go inside?"

Ruruko frowned at this and she moved toward the door. "Well then, let's go. We can't lose him!"

Temoe ran up to Ruruko and opened the door. "Come on, maybe if we have time we can make a stop at one of the shops I've wanted to check out this weekend."

They had lost sight of Danny in the crowd as the crossing had a lot of people walking through that area. It was through this that they actually started following someone else for a few seconds before they realized what happened and saw him through the crowd heading toward the mall. They were able to get closer but they lost sight just before he went in.

The three walked into the mall, in search of Danny, and saw that it was packed full of people.

Tsubasa's eyes scanned everyone to find the weird hair shape or his clothing. Anything that would tell them where he was or where he was going. They moved through the crowd on the first floor as they figured that he would check that out first.

Meanwhile, Danny was on the escalator they just ran past, heading to the second floor since he saw that the first floor had more and there was nothing there that grabbed his interest.

Tsubasa's group was looking around for any sign of him but they couldn't see anything other than more people.

Ruruko grumbled as she was getting a little irritated by this goose chase. "Ugh, if we could just sense the weird thing about him, this would be easier.

Tomoe nodded in agreement. "Maybe we should focus on detecting him rather than try and find him. There are too many people here, so it will be like finding a needle in a hay-"

The three girls paused and looked up instantly.

Tsubasa frowned as she stated what they could detect. "He's on the second floor."

Ruruko nodded as she began to quickly move to the nearest set of stairs. "Let's go!"

The three girls ran a set of stairs to the second floor and toward where they detected Danny. They stopped and looked around with Tsubasa stating.

"We lost him, but we know that he was here thanks to us detecting that weird power."

Tomoe looked around but couldn't see any sign of him. "But where is he?!"

They suddenly felt him two floors higher and they ran back up the stairs to where it showed up,

Ruruko groaned as they had lost sight of him again. "What is he doing? He was just a few floors down and then he was here and now he is gone again."

Tsubasa shook her head as she looked around for any sign of him. The floors weren't that expansive so they should see him, before she could take a step, they felt him once more on the eighth floor. "Move!"

They split up, with Ruruko and Tomoe taking the escalator and Tsubasa taking the stairs. They rejoined at the spot where they detected him and once again saw nothing.

Tomoe was breathing heavily as they kept running up stairs to try and catch up with this guy. "Why does he keep disappearing from us?"

Tsubasa shook her head. "I don't know. We detect that weird power of his for a few seconds before it disappears." She thought about it for a second before she came up with a theory. "Perhaps he knows about us tailing him and he is throwing us off course."

Tomoe groaned as she didn't like being messed with. "But does he have to-" She paused when she saw they were next to a shop that she wanted to check out. But before she could say anything about checking it out, they detected him again, this time, going down to the first floor at a rapid pace.

Tsubasa didn't even stop. "Go!"

Tomoe whined at not having the chance to check it out as they had to leave.

Ruruk was close to wanting to hit the guy for forcing them to run all over the mall.

They bolted down the stairs, avoiding all the people who were walking up, and they made it to the first floor. Once again, they saw nothing.

Ruruko was sure now that she would hit the boy when she got the chance. "How did he even get passed us?! We were looking for him and he was able to give us the slip!"

~Flashback~

Danny made it to the second floor as he looked around. "Hmm, lot of girl clothes here." He began to walk around the floor to see if there was anything else to see."

"Kon'nichiwa! Kyō wa anata no tame ni nani ga dekirudeshou ka?"

Danny blinked as he looked at the one that was speaking to him. It was a girl around his age who looked to be working in the store to his right. He blushed as she seemed very eager to help him and was cute.

The girl saw the American come up the escalators and she could not help but think he was attractive. So much so that she wanted to get to know who he was.

Danny realized that he couldn't understand what she said and channeled energy to his ears and throat so he could speak up. "Um, I uh…" He thought that she was asking for help so he went with a common excuse. "I was just looking around."

The girl smiled as she put her hands behind her back and leaned forward. "Well, I don't think you will find anything that you could wear but maybe you are looking to give this to a special girl you know?" She was fishing for some information on the boy, and hoping he would give an answer she would like.

Danny cleared his throat as he felt a lump in it. "I uh, don't have anyone…." He did his best to keep his voice from cracking as he was not good with this.

The girl smiled wider. 'Ooh.' She grabbed his arm and gently tugged for him to follow her. "Well, maybe we can look through the clothes for when you do find a special girl. I can even try them out for you if you want."

Danny was not used to this and he panicked. He shook his head and gently pulled away from the girl. "Yeahthanksmaybenexttime!" He bolted to the other escalator in order to get to the next floor.

The girl pouted at losing her chance but she figured she should keep an eye on the escalator that came back to this floor so she could try again.

Danny made it to the fourth floor since he was so surprised by the interaction that he skipped the third floor. He took in a deep breath and tried to calm himself. "Ok, that was….. Something." He looked around and saw that the floor was similar to the ones he was just on. The stores he saw were all for girl's clothing. He frowned as he still didn't see any store he could check out.

"Kon'nichiwa!"

Danny looked to his right and saw another girl making her way to him. He realized that he turned off his translation power and reactivated it so he would be able to communicate. "Uh, hi."

The girl this time was a bit older and taller than him. She made it to stand in front of him and used one of her hands to lift his head to look her in the eye. "What's a handsome thing like you doing in a place like this?" She gave a predatory smile as she found him to be a nice piece.

Danny once again felt like his legs were gonna give out and he blushed heavily. "I-I-I-I-I wasjustpassingthrough!" He took a few steps back before he bolted toward the escalator up.

The woman frowned as she put her hands on her hips. "Maybe I came off too strong. I should apologize to him when he comes back down and try again, softer this time." She would not let an attractive one get away from her.

Danny made it to the eighth floor and was not ready for all that he had just dealt with in this mall. "Ok, this place only has stuff for girls and I….. phew~" He was able to catch his breath and he shook his head to get rid of the thoughts of the two girls that were making a move on him. He was so unprepared for it that he just reacted, he knew the girls were attractive but he just came here to explore, not get hit on by pretty girls. "Ok, Fenton, you can deal with this kind of thing, just go back down, and walk naturally out." He lifted his leg to start walking and blushed as he was not sure if he could handle being flirted with again and not show his powers. It was a miracle that he didn't drop his pants or phase through the floor with how much blood went to his head. "...maaaaybe, I should take the shortcut." He still wasn't mentally prepared for the two he would most likely try again. "No, I can handle it. I've dealt with worse things before." He made his way to the escalator that would take him back down, before walking past it and into the bathroom that was at the end of the floor. He walked in and was glad no one was around before he turned invisible and intangible before phasing through the floors. Once he made it to the first floor again, he found an empty bathroom before coming out and heading to the exit. Once he was outside, he looked back at the store as he spoke to himself in English. "I don't think I'll come here again. Ember and Kitty might find it interesting but they can go themselves." He turned around and made his way back home. "I think that took more of my energy and mental fortitude than my fight with Pariah Dark." He sagged as he started going through the crowd.

Tsubasa frowned as she was also getting irritated about this. "I don't know but he might have left the mall if he knew we were trying to follow him."

The three nodded and left through the entrance, only to bump into someone.

Someone with white hair and a blank stare.

Tomoe saw who it was and asked in a surprised tone. "Koneko, what are you doing here?"

Koneko pointed back toward the entrance. "I got a weird feeling coming from this mall, like a beacon that turns on every ten seconds. I came to check it out."

Tsubasa, Ruruko, and Tomoe looked at each other as they were unsure if they were allowed to tell Koneko anything about this. They weren't told anything about keeping it a secret but chose to go with the safe route and simultaneously agreed not to tell the young devil from another peerage anything. But they needed to think of something that would throw her off the trail. They couldn't just say it was nothing.

Tsubasa took charge and spoke up. "We detected it too. We tried to follow it but so far, whatever it is seems to have left the area. We aren't sure if it is a stray devil or not but if it is, we will let Rias know when we have an approximate location of where it is."

Koneko eyed the three of them as what they said made sense but it was clear they were hiding something. "Hmm, alright. Didn't feel like a stray devil though. I'll be keeping an eye out." She did a small bow before heading away.

Tsubasa let out a sigh as she wasn't sure if she had convinced Koneko since it was hard to tell what the younger devil was thinking but it looked like they diverted her for now. She looked at the other two and spoke. "Let's find him. He shouldn't have gotten far."

The two nodded as they tried to find out where he went.

~Later, that night~

Danny was sitting on his couch with his head leaning back as he sighed. "Ok, I was not expecting those two hitting on me when I got there." He smirked as he thought about his friends. "If I told Tucker and Sam about this, they would get on my case till I spilled everything." He knew Tucker would be jealous of him for being hit on by the two before he tried to get with the two, while Sam would be furious for some reason or another and give him grief till his ears fell off. He lifted his head before pushing himself off the couch and headed to the kitchen. He grabbed the bag that had the stuff he bought at the small store that was not that far off. He grabbed a microwave meal that they sold there and tossed it into the microwave.

He didn't know how to cook anything since Jazz was the one who would make the food. His parents would cook too but when they used their ectopowered items, the food would come to life and they would have to fight it off before they even thought about eating.

His parents knew how to make food, they just combined their science and their culinary skills.

So for now, he would have to deal with eating these for now and he was thankful for his parents giving him some money so that he could handle himself for a while.

Once he put the food in the microwave and set it for seven minutes on low, he stepped back and figured he should do something else till it was ready. He snapped his fingers as he remembered that he still hadn't tried on the uniform. Shrugging, he looked up and flew up to his room to get to it faster. He looked at his closet and saw the uniform hanging there and brought it down before getting dressed in it.

Outside the house were the three girls, each of them at certain levels of frustration.

Ruruko was now sure that she would hit him if she ever had the chance.

Tomoe was annoyed as she went through the mall and didn't get the chance to see if there was anything that she would have wanted to buy.

And Tsubasa was frustrated at how he was able to give them the slip several times that day, and they only found out he was back home when they checked the place after not finding him anywhere near the mall after losing his signal. She looked at the house with her arms crossed as she detected his power. "Yeah, he is in there." They saw movement and the lights on but now that they detected his weird power, they were sure.

Ruruko grumbled. "Good, can we go home now? We have school tomorrow and we don't have to watch him while he is there."

Tsubasa looked at her watch and saw that there were only a few minutes left for them. "Just wait a bit longer. We only have about eight minutes left."

They looked back toward the house and were able to see through a window that didn't have the curtains closed. They saw Danny come into the room and he was wearing the uniform.

The three stared at him for a few minutes and they were surprised that he looked pretty good in the uniform. They stared so long that when Tsubasa got out of her surprise, she looked at the watch and saw that they were now allowed to head back home. "Let's go, you two, we can leave him be for now. We can report to Sona about what happened today when we see her tomorrow."

Tomoe and Ruruko nodded as they began to leave the area, each of them now wondering how he got passed them in the mall when they were covering all exits.

Danny took a bite of the rice that was in the microwave dinner before he looked out the window. "Hmm?" He had this weird feeling that he was being watched all day and it was now gone. He had felt that weird tingle all day as well but he chalked the "Being watched" feeling with that. The fact that the feelings disappeared at the same time only added to that thought but he was starting to get irritated about the tingling feeling as it was like that itch you just can't scratch. Now that it was gone, he figured he could relax. He looked down at himself at the uniform he was wearing. He didn't know how informal he could do the uniform so he just went with the completely buttoned-up constricted look. He didn't want to make a bad first impression. "Hopefully I can at least undo the top three cause this just makes me understand Sam's hatred of uniforms a bit more."

He was ready for the first day tomorrow and was almost excited about going. He wondered if he would make any friends there since the only friends he had, who were human, were Sam and Tucker. It would be nice if he had a few more human friends.

Clockwork watched as the three devils left his ward be and had a pensive expression on his face. "This timeline has so many twists and turns to it that I could almost consider them a headache." He waved his staff in front of the viewing window as so many scenarios sped past it, too fast for anyone, human, ghost, devil, fallen angel, or even the mighty deities could see. A second later, he put a hand on his chin as he thought about what he should do to find the best outcome for this timeline.

It is said that no one should mess with the timestream as there are irreparable damages that could be done to it and the consequences are monumentally vast. But he did not abide by that rule. It wasn't that he wasn't allowed to mess with a timeline, it was just that most of the time, he just let them play out since, for that time, it needed to happen. But for Danny, he felt like helping the young Halfa a bit as the boy had tallied up a good number of feats across timelines. So a bit of help leading to a better timeline isn't too much to ask.

That and Clockwork liked the kid.

He looked at the viewing window again and decided that he would stay his hand for now. Especially since there wasn't anything to worry about for the time being.

"Good luck, Young Halfa."

Tornado man: interesting idea for Grayfia. I could do that but I narrowed it down to a few ideas that I am workshopping right now. Thanks for the suggestion for his sacred gear. A Scythe is what a lot of people are suggesting so I might.

Redburndragon: maybe Koneko but we will see how the harem goes. And that is an interesting reason for her. We will see when the results of the poll are complete. I know that he has teleportation but he still hasn't shown his powers in this fic yet. He will when the time is right.

Iamshinydragonmist: you're welcome, and I consider all ideas given to me as they might be good or I can build on them to make another idea.

Undefined of s: glad you like it, you will find out about Grayfia when the time is right.

Jebest4781: I might do that for some original chapters in this fic. I felt like giving him a place of his own as a way to keep things simple for now as he doesn't have to worry about roommates at the moment. It was Millicas who made me worried cause I didn't want to just kill him off by writing him out (Marvel got to me about something like that). Poll results are coming in so I will work on the winning choice. Glad you liked the chapter

Gamelover41592 : thanks

Yami Luna Kitsune: Danny doesn't know about Japanese cause he never paid attention to it until now. Danny was just having fun on the plane since he was bored. He showed that he had Teleakinesis only one time. I will keep it a secret who detected him but they are somewhat obvious.

OmegaDelta: yep. She might pop up for it as I have plans for the ghosts later on. Glad you liked it

Staridium: Kuroka, I just might but that is still a maybe. Koneko is also a maybe. Right now I am working on the story and the harem members are kinda secondary.

Djinn: I felt that it would be a good way to get things moving but also make things easier later on.

ShadowAndrew93: too fast right now. Also, she is a maybe.

Lordruni: I don't want to just jump into things since it would just not work for me. I don't know who is in the harem yet so we can still build on it and yeah, he is somewhat of a small force of nature. :P

KorevainsoLightshire: I will admit that the first part is a bit of padding. The feeling he has is there for a reason, explained later. Yes, Issei still has the same role but things will be different. I fixed the O and U thing and yeah, I figured some might get on me because of Souna, but it is her alias and I wanted to make sure I got it right. Clockwork is all-powerful so he very well could but I have an explanation for some things but they will be revealed later.

SPeCTeR-ll7: yeah I am gonna go back and change it to work better. Then again, Cartoon time is hard to get right. Especially since only one Halloween and one Christmas passed since he got his powers.

Mugen-Blade: we talked through PMs

ThePopshow: thanks, glad you like it. Yeah, I think I will keep Issei male. And for the Ghost King thing, maybe

Guest99: I could pair Tucker with Valerie. It might help things later on. I will get back to the DP x Bleach soon. I have plans for it and thanks for the suggestions for the bleach pairing.

Skully13: I will consider it

Guest 2: think I will keep Issei male for some easier future fics. And the Grayfia poll is coming to an end soon so the result will soon be found out.

Green223: I just want to keep the options open but for now, he will remain a halfa. In future, we will find out cause I don't know about that.

Gamerman22: I'm just keeping the option there, nothing solid yet. Love interests are still in the works.

Dragoul Mayol: yeah, I get it. I just have too many ideas in my head and I tend to go all over the place. I promise to get back to the older ones. Though there are some that I feel I need to drop because I don't like where it was going or the plans I had for them, but only a few of them.

Delta3950: I'll fix that

Soultac: I forgot about the tidbit about they need to be stronger than the one being turned. That idea for the artificial sacred gear is very interesting. Very interesting indeed….hmm

Jaded671: thanks for the suggestions and glad you liked it.

MURoomie: yeah, I read a few others in this crossover fandom and none of them really hit the mark with me so I decided to make one more align with what I wanted.

TDR007: poll will end soon so the result will be how I go with things. I already came up with how it will work for each choice so I am good with whichever wins. We will find out what happens with Grayfia soon.

Shieldbuckle: true

darkness of enigma: thanks for the suggestion. And that is a good idea for punishing Issei and for Danny meeting Ddraig. But as I said, Danny will not be getting Ddraig. As for Danny's character development, I really like that idea, I think I will use that but not make it too gritty. I don't want to make Danny a borderline emo, he's gotta have his quips and puns and humor. Is Yubelluna your pairing suggestion?

Chapter 5: Unexpected Attention

Danny grimaced as he looked at himself in the mirror. He was wearing the uniform for the school and he could already tell that it was way too formal for his liking. He couldn't do anything about it since it was a rule. But the thing that really got him was the tie. "Why couldn't this thing be a clip-on?"

He tried to tie it as he would a bow tie, but not only was it a thin piece, he also didn't tie these things a lot so it was a complete mess.

"I should have looked up how to tie this thing before I actually had to wear it." He let out a sigh as it was a lost cause since he spent a good twenty minutes trying to get it right and getting nowhere. He decided to look up how to get it when he came back from school as he was out of time if he didn't leave now. He wanted to get there early in order to find the class he was supposed to be in.

It was best to make a good first impression… and he wasn't at a good start with the tie.

He bent down and grabbed the school bag that came with the uniform and made his way downstairs. He grabbed his keys and left out the front door before locking it. He looked at the house and smiled as it was an interesting feeling that he had his own place to himself and it was his responsibility to lock the doors so no one would get in He turned around and took a deep breath before he began to make his way toward the school. As he was walking down the street, he saw there were a few others from the school heading in the same direction. 'I guess I didn't need to find the school before since I could have just followed these guys.' He thought about the fact that it was a new school and remembered something. 'Ok, I'm sure I will have to introduce myself to the class since I'm new. But what should I say? "Hi, my name is Danny Fenton and I like outer space?" or maybe I should say I like video games and would like some recommendations.' He was so deep in thought that he was unaware of the looks he was getting from the other students who noticed him.

All of the girls started to whisper to their friends.

"Who is that?"

"I don't know, I've never seen him before."

"He looks foreign."

"Think he is a new student?"

"At this time of year?"

"His hair is kinda cool."

"Look at his eyes, they're shining."

"What if he is just like those perverts at the school?"

"But he looks so cool."

Danny sighed as he figured that he should just go with the flow since thinking things through when it comes to school was Jazz's thing, not his. "How bad could I mess up anyway?" He finally made it to the street that led to the school and realized it was bigger than he originally saw. He saw it from a distance when he first found it but now, as he got closer, he realized it was bigger. "I hope they have a map."

"There are actual maps for you to pick up in several spots in the school. You can pick one up when you see a map set on the wall."

Danny looked ahead and saw that a girl with long wavey white hair was looking at him directly. He nervously chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck. He was surprised that she spoke English to him but he figured he should switch to using Japanese so that it would be easier to talk to her. "Oh, uh, are you the one that is going to show me where my class is?"

She did a small bow before introducing herself. "Yes, my name is Momo Hanaki, member of the Student council."

Momo was a young beautiful girl with wavy white hair that reached past her shoulders, blue-green eyes, and a moderately curvy figure. She was Sona's bishop as she was more efficient in the usage of magic.

She looked the boy over as she could suddenly sense what the others must have detected before. But she could understand why the others lost track of him in the mall since, before this, there was nothing coming off him that could be detected.

She noticed that he went with the full dress suit, something she was sure that Sona would accept but there was one thing that stood out. "Did you have trouble with your tie earlier today?"

Danny grimaced as he didn't think it would be bad enough to be caught the first few minutes. "I um… I've never had to do one before. I did my best but this was what I got."

Momo nodded as she took a step forward. She reached up to the tie and undid it. She noticed him flinch as her hands got close but she continued. "I am just fixing this for you. You should learn to do it yourself since you will not always get someone to do it for you." She noticed that his face was red but she chose to ignore it as she was doing this out of necessity.

He gulped down his nervousness and tried his best to remain in place as she tied it correctly. After a few seconds, the tie was finished and now dangling around his neck. He looked down and was able to see the ends of the tie and saw it was done correctly. Looking back at the girl, who took a step back, and smiled in appreciation. "Thanks for the help."

Momo nodded. "It is your first day and you should make the best impression you can."

Danny nodded. "Yeah, I was hoping to do that."

Momo looked him over and still felt nothing apart from what was detected in his head. The tie was a convenient excuse to get closer to him to see if she could detect something else about him, but she found nothing. Getting back to what she was tasked to do, she gestured for him to follow her. "Let's get moving. Do your best to remember the path so that you will be able to find your class more easily."

"I will, thanks."

The two began to walk into the building to head toward Danny's new class. As they walked through the halls, many eyes noticed the newcomer and more whispers began to go around.

Unseen by Danny, several individuals on the campus felt his arrival, with a good few of them not knowing what it was.

The two finally made it to his class, with a lot of noise being heard from within, and Momo turned to him with a proper air about her.

"This is your classroom. The instructor has already been informed about your arrival and is ready to greet you to the class." She faced the door and knocked three times.

There was then an adult voice heard speaking over the noise and Momo looked back to Danny.

"He will call you in when he is ready. Once inside, you will stand next to him and introduce yourself. You will most likely be asked questions so be ready for that."

Danny was nervous about being the center of attention but he figured that he would only have to deal with it for a couple of days. He could handle that. "Thanks for bringing me here, Momo."

She bowed to him. "You're welcome. Enjoy your time here." She turned around and began to walk toward her class.

Danny took a breath as he faced the door and waited for the teacher to call for him. After a few seconds, he heard the teacher speak through the door.

"You can come in now."

Danny slowly opened the door and peeked inside, just as every single eye in the class focused on him. He chose to ignore that and walk in and move to stand next to the teacher.

The teacher looked at the boy before looking at the class. "This is Danny Fenton, he was selected to join our prestigious school and today is his first day."

Danny looked at the class and did a small bow. "Um, hi." '"Hi"? What the hell is that? I couldn't say anything else?'

It was then that the girls of the class burst into cheers.

"He looks so cool!"

"I can't believe we got a good-looking male in our class!"

"This is so much better than those perverted three!"

Danny was stunned by the reaction. "Uh, wha-?" He got another surprise when they started shooting out questions.

"What's your hobbies?"

"What was America like?"

"Why did you come here?"

"Are you single?"

"What kind of girl do you like?"

A few questions came from some of the boys in the class.

"Are you any good at fighting back?"

"Do you know where we can hide your body?"

The teacher had to calm down the class and spoke up. "Alright, everyone! There will be plenty of time for questions later on and I'm sure Danny will willingly answer them but right now, we have to get to class." The teacher looked at Danny and pointed at an empty seat in the center of the class. "Please take that seat so I can begin the lesson."

Danny nodded as he made his way to his seat.

As he walked, several of the girls blushed as he walked past them, watching him make his way.

Danny was surprised about the attention he was getting and looked down to the floor so his own blush wasn't visible. It was thanks to this that he saw a foot stick out in front of him, one he just walked over. He saw in his periphery, a bald guy with big ears. One thing he noticed was that the guy looked annoyed at not tripping him but it was more of a petty-looking annoyed rather than a threatening one. 'What's his problem?' He finally made it to his seat and got ready for the lesson, feeling more self-conscious at the giggles he was getting from the girls around him. 'This….. Is new.'

~later~

The lesson had ended and it was now time for lunch. Danny got up from his seat and was about to leave to find the cafeteria but he was caught by a group of the class's girls.

"Hey, Danny, are you going to have lunch?"

Danny blinked at the sudden group around him and he blushed as he nodded. "Uh, yeah, I was gonna try and find the cafeteria."

One of the girls grabbed his hand and smiled at him. "Then let's show you where it is. We can talk in the cafeteria as we have lunch."

Danny blushed heavily as he just allowed the girl to gently drag him away. "Uh….um…. Sure."

As Danny was taken away by the group of girls

Many of the boys were glaring daggers at the doorway they left through.

"Damn it! Why did we have to get another pretty boy!? We don't need another one like Kiba!" spoke a guy with glasses and short black hair.

The other guy, the one with large ears, growled as he held his fists in front of him. "Guys like him should just die!" He had tears running down his eyes as he really hated those who were more popular than him.

Issei Hyoudo, a teen of seventeen years, with brown hair, and had his uniform jacket open to show a red shirt, pouted with his lower lip sticking out as he mocked Danny. "Man, look at him and all the girls that surrounded him. 'Like hi, I'm Danny Fenton and I'm some hottie from America.' What a tool." He then dropped his head onto the table as he cried. "Why can't we be that popular? When we got here, there weren't any girls swarming us, when this new guy shows up, every girl is ready to jump him."

Matsuda slumped as he grumbled. "And he didn't fall on his face when I stuck my foot out. That would have been a good way to make him look stupid."

Danny wondered what the slop they gave here would be like. Would it be a different color and maybe taste different but he got a shock when he was brought into the eating area.

He wasn't even sure if he should call this a school cafeteria.

It was massive. Not only that, it was so fancy that it might as well be a restaurant instead of a cafeteria.

Unlike Casper High, there wasn't a line where everyone had to be in and wait for food. Instead, you can go up to a counter and tell your order to the one manning it and they serve you what could be considered gourmet food.

Gourmet high school food, but it was clear that it was so much better than the slop that Danny was used to.

In fact, it wasn't even slop.

Danny was sitting at one of the tables with a plate of beef steak with a gleaming sauce poured on it with some garnish on the side and a cup of dip. He still had to pay for it, but he did not have to pay what he figured such a meal should cost. 'Am I in heaven? Did I bypass the ghost zone and go to whatever heaven exists? Or is this a dream? If it is…. I might not want to wake up if I can eat this for lunch.' His internal question brought up something that he had thought of before when he learned about the ghost zone and how people end up there but right now, it wasn't important. Supernatural existential questions are not what he wants to think about. Especially since he was still surrounded by the girls of his class.

"So, tell us about yourself, Danny! What are your hobbies and why did you come to our school?"

Danny chuckled nervously as he was not used to this kind of attention. "I… um, I'm not really sure what to tell you. I came to this school because I got a letter that said I was accepted to the school. My family thought it was a good idea for me to come here since it was something new and I was able to experience what no one back home would be able to."

One of the girls pondered on that. "I did hear that there are a few students from other countries here but I haven't seen many, and I think you are the only boy."

Danny tilted his head at that. "Well, I feel special."

"So, what are your hobbies?"

Danny's lips thinned as he thought about it. Ghost hunting wasn't really a hobby and he couldn't tell them that. Going with what he used to be so focused on, he nervously chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck. "Well, I really like astronomy. I always thought space was really cool and I would like to go into space one day."

"That's really cool."

"Why are you so interested?"

Danny smiled as this was something he enjoyed talking about. "Well, I was always interested in space and what we could find out there. I've spent a lot of time looking at nebulas, red giants, and some planets that are out of our Sol system and what could be there. There are a lot of elements in space that we still don't know about and that is something that really grabbed my attention. We explored most of this planet but space is so much bigger and who knows what kind of adventures we could have if we were to travel the stars."

The girls found his interest rather appealing and his childlike enthusiasm rather cute. They didn't want to burst his bubble but they felt like they had to tell him.

One of the girls spoke up after he finished talking. "Sounds like you have unbound ambitions, but we don't have a space club at our school. We did a long time ago but it was closed when there weren't enough members."

Danny slumped as he heard that. "Aw, man."

"Sorry, Danny."

Danny took a deep breath as he shook off his disappointment. "That's fine. It's not your fault. But now that you mention it, I didn't think about any of the clubs here. I didn't get the chance to do any clubs back home but I should be able to do that here."

"Why didn't you do any clubs back in America?"

Before Danny could say anything, a girl leaned forward and poked him on the cheek. "I bet it was because he had too many girlfriends to handle back home.

Danny blushed at the implication and how the girl was pressing herself onto him. "Wha! What?! I couldn't- I didn't -I-I-, no way!"

The girl gave him a sly smirk as she adjusted her glasses.

This was Aika Kiryuu, same grade as Danny and in the same class. She had brown hair that had two short braids framing her face and reaching her shoulder. She had a slender figure and a sly look on her face as her yellow eyes looked at Danny, almost calculatingly sly.

"Aw, is the little newcomer shy about his prospects?"

Danny shook his head, vehemently denying it. "There was no girl that I know back home that was interesting in me! I swear! I've never dated anyone before!"

This caused several of the girls to look at each other with smiles and a slight dusting of pink on their cheeks.

Aika crossed her arms and stood up. "Well, we got ourselves a greenhorn here. Should be fun to use later, but you didn't answer the question. Why didn't you take part in any clubs back in the good ol' USA?" She was palling on using this little info to her advantage at some point, or just to tease him.

Danny was glad that Aika decided to leave his nonexistent love life alone now and move back to the main topic the others wanted to know. He sucked in his lips as he couldn't say why he didn't do any clubs. "I uh….was too busy after school so I didn't have the time to. But I don't have anything to do after school now so maybe I should go to one of the clubs."

The moment he said this, all the girls closed in on him.

"Oh, come to our club!"

"No, try ours, we could use a new member."

"Forget them, come with us to ours!"

Danny blushed as he was being swarmed by the girls.

As this was happening, a buxom girl with long bright red hair was staring down from a higher balcony.

"Something catch your attention, Rias?"

Rias looked at the one sitting across from her and smiled. "Just the one that Sona told me about, Akeno."

Rias Gremory, a third year of Kuoh Academy and one of the school beauties of the school. She had bright blood-red hair that reached her thighs and green eyes that contrasted with her hair. Many would say the most eye-catching thing about her was her hair, while a lot of the boys would say it was her bouncing breasts.

Akeno Hemejima, another of the school beauties and also a third year of Kuoh Academy. She had ebony blue hair that was tied into a high ponytail with a yellow ribbon as it reached her ankles. Her eyes gave off a soft mature expression with their dark violet color and soft smile. The males could never tell who had the more voluptuous figure between these two but they all agreed the bouncing breasts of the two were a clear factor.

Akeno looked down at the group of files surrounding the new boy. "Is he someone that caught your interest?"

Rias hummed in thought as she looked at Danny. "I was informed by Sona about him as he gives off an odd feeling that I haven't felt before. I don't know if he is worth bringing in so both me and Sona are holding our decision for now until we know more about him." She grabbed her cup of tea and took a sip before continuing. "There is another that has caught my attention but I don't want to rush into things, for either of them. But I am leaning toward the more solid choice as I have a hunch that Issei might be a safer option."

Akeno continued to look at the boy as she wondered what the feeling he was giving off was. "I can look into him if you are unsure about your decision. Besides, it looks like one of our own is already interested in him."

Rias looked at Akeno who pointed down at someone a few tables away. She followed the gesture and saw Koneko staring at the new boy. She took a closer look and could see that the white-haired girl was watching, not really out of interest but if…concerning intrigue. "That odd feeling he is giving off might be affecting her more since she looks really stiff while watching him."

Akeno nodded. "Either way, I'll look into him and see if there are any records about him."

Rias nodded as her eyes shifted back to Danny.

Danny meanwhile, took a bite of his steak and knew that this was absolutely a gourmet meal. 'And I didn't have to pay with my leg!' He enjoyed his meal as all the girls around him asked him to either join their club or more about him.

~Next day, after school~

Danny was walking through the hallway, looking at a piece of paper in his hand.

One notable thing that had changed about his uniform is that he now had the jacket completely open and his dress shirt now had the top three buttons undone, revealing the white shirt underneath.

During his first day at the school, he noticed that a lot of the students had alterations to their uniforms that were either made for style or comfort. He had asked his classmates if he could loosen up his own uniform to be more comfortable. To his surprise, the girls were all for it as they said he could let his jacket open and undo his dress shirt. He decided to find an in-between from what he saw one of the other students do and the completely proper dress.

They told him that as long as he was wearing the uniform, he was allowed to open it up to be more comfortable.

Right now, he was looking through the list that was given to him as he was following up with what he said he would do yesterday.

He had already gone to a few of the clubs but they weren't really up his alley.

Calligraphy wasn't something he thought he could do since he still had to learn how to read and write.

The baking club was nice and he could get sweets whenever he wanted but he wasn't sure about it. He figured he could make that one a backup if there was nothing else.

Manga club was pretty interesting but the guys that were there were a bit… enthusiastic. Not to mention that he couldn't read what was on the page so that one was a no-go.

The fashion club. That would be just up Kitty's alley and she would most likely drag him into it so she could see what it has.

The shopping club…again, Kitty would drag him.

Singing/music/choir club, Ember would join just to see how bad everyone was and then reshape it into her rock-n-roll club.

Art club, Dora would love that since she enjoyed painting. He was surprised to find that out but given her nature, it made sense.

The "walk home" club was… nothing really. Just go home after school. He could do that without joining.

Danny looked at the next one on the list and mumbled to himself. "Ok, the next one is…"

"Danny."

Danny paused at being called and looked behind him to see who it was. He was surprised to see it was Tsubaki and he walked over to her to see what it was she wanted."Hey, Tsubaki, did you need something?"

Tsubaki nodded as she looked at the list Danny had. "I had heard you were looking through some clubs to join and I came here with an offer from Souna."

Danny tilted his head as he wondered what she was going to offer him. "Well, what's up?"

Tsubaki adjusted her glasses as she spoke. "Our president would like to offer you a spot on the Student council."

Danny tripped in place at the offer as that was extremely surprising for him. Once he was able to get his balance back, he looked at her with clear shock on his face. "Wha-? Why would you want to offer me a place on that?"

Tsubaki thought his surprise was amusing and she did her best to cover her small smile. "Our president thought it would be beneficial for you if you were to join us as it would give you a place where you can learn some of the customs that still elude you. It would also allow us to aid you in whatever you might be having issues with since you are new to our country. Not only are these benefits that you can take advantage of, but Souna believes that you could be an invaluable aid in keeping things in order at our school."

Danny did think it sounded like it would be helpful for him if he joined them but being part of the council wasn't something he even considered. "What exactly would I have to do if I joined?"

"Our members would go around the campus, stopping anything that could be considered against the rules. Stopping fights, dispersing sanctioned crowds, and at times, we are set as security after school to make sure there aren't any remaining students when it should be empty. There are several other responsibilities that are expected but you are given more freedom than other students, such as being allowed to leave class if there is a matter that requires our intervention."

Danny thought it sounded great. The ability to leave class when he needed to and not be considered breaking the rules, having fewer restrictions so he could wander around without a teacher getting on his case, he wished he had these in his last school. He might not have had so many problems if he could use those excuses. He crossed his arms as he thought about the offer. He looked at Tsubaki who had an expectant look before he took a breath. "Well, thanks for the offer, but I don't think I can join the student council."

Tsubaki's eyes widened ever so slightly before asking. "Might I ask why?"

Danny shrugged his shoulders as he lulled his head to the right. "It sounds really cool and you really sold me on what it has to offer, but I want to see what else there is before I make a decision. I mean, I never did any clubs back home and I want to see if there is one that I could spend some time at. I still have a few that I want to check out before I commit." Not wanting to close the door on the offer completely, he quickly spoke. "But if I don't find any club I like, can I still take up the offer?"

Tsubaki nodded as she adjusted her glasses. "Understandable. The offer will remain after you look at the rest of the clubs. Should you want, we will accept you if you come to Souna and ask to join."

Danny smiled as she gave him a slight bow. "Thanks."

Tsubaki nodded back at him before she turned around and began to walk away. She was a little disappointed with this since there were many reasons they wanted him to join the student council. The main one was to keep an eye on him and figure out if he was a threat or just an innocent bystander. Despite their observations, nothing was found out, and with how random the spikes of his power were, they couldn't tell if they were deliberate to just accidents. They still don't even know what his power is or if it is something else that is just around him. 'Perhaps he will still join us when he finishes with the other clubs. From what we could tell, he has seen most of them and will soon reach the end. I must inform Sona about this and perhaps we can do something to entice him more.'

Danny continued to walk the halls, looking at the list in his hand, not noticing that there were several groups that observed the interaction between him and Tsubaki.

Many of the girls were blushing as they thought the two looked good together, with how serious Tsubaki was and how slightly goofy Danny is, they thought they would be a good couple. They also felt jealous as they figured that if they were together, they wouldn't have the chance to get with the new foreigner.

"Do you think he will join the council?"

"Why wouldn't he? He is cool enough to be part of the group."

"But what if he gets with Souna or Tsubaki?"

"We'll lose our chances!"

The male groups had red eyes as they were glaring at the guy's back and wishing him death or an accident that made him unable to come to school.

"Damn him! Thinking he is all that because he has all the hot girls after him!"

"What does he have that we don't!?"

Almost as a combined force, most males were glaring at Danny's back and had the same thought. "Damn him!"

Danny paused in his walking as he felt a chill go down his spine. "The hell?" He turned around to see what was causing him to feel a chill but he didn't see anything.

The second he turned his head, all the boys returned to normal and looked like they were talking with each other.

The girls turned away to hide their blushes as they did their best to peek at him.

Danny shrugged before he turned back and continued walking. "Ok, the next club is…. The occult club." He blinked at the club before he chuckled at that. "Sam would love that club. With all the stuff she has on weird and creepy, she would be right at home there." He thought about it for a second before he shook his head. "Nah, I got enough weird stuff back home, I should try something different." He looked at the remaining clubs and saw one that seemed like it could be interesting. He read where it was, looked out the window, and nodded before he found the nearest stairs to make his way outside.

Danny opened the door and looked inside the building. "Hello?"

"Danny?!"

He looked to his right to see a row of girls on the side all of them wearing white tops and long black loose pants. He saw two of his classmates and was surprised to see them there. "Oh, hey, uh…Murayama and… Katase, right?"

Murayama was a girl with a curvy body that was covered by the Kendo uniform. She had long brown hair that was held in pigtails by two red ribbons. She had a cute face with hazel eyes and bangs covering her forehead.

Katase was a girl with a slim figure and a young face. She was slightly shorter than Murayama and had short pink hair that was held back by a white headband that barely wen past her chin. With her hair out of her face, her brown eyes could be visible for all to see.

All the girls there were excited to see him there with the two main girls nodding and walking up to him.

Murayama, the one that called out to him, stepped forward with Katase close behind. "Yeah, what are you doing here? Is there something you need?" She blushed at how he was able to remember their names and was doing her best to hide her excitement for his arrival. She remembered what he said he was going to do and if he was here, it meant that he was here to check out their club.

Danny held up the piece of paper he had. "I was going through the list of clubs and I still couldn't find one that I could have fun in. I saw this Kendo club on the list and remembered hearing about it before. I figured I should check it out."

Katase smiled wide as she moved to stand next to Murayama. "This is great, we would love to have you part of our club!"

Murayama placed a hand on her shoulder to calm her friend down. "Let's actually let him choose before we jump in excitement. He's still only checking the club out."

Danny nodded as he thought Katase's excitement was cute. "Well, what do I have to do to see if I want to join?"

The girls grew excited as they all scrambled to grab some items and drag Danny toward the back.

Murayama and Katase looked at each other as they were excited about the idea that Danny might join the club.

After some….. Excited assistance, Danny was now dressed in kendo armor and standing at his starting point. He was thankful he was able to get the girls to leave the room as he got dressed, only helping him make adjustments to make sure it stayed in place.

They gave him the rundown on how Kendo was done and the point system.

Men-bu - This point-scoring target is the sho-men and the sayu-men which are basically the top or sides of a kendoka head protector.

Kote-bu - A padded and protected spot which are the migi-kote and the hidari-kote specifically the areas along the protective portion of the right or left wrist

Do-bu - The do-bu is a spot on the left or right side of the Kendo armor that protects the Kendoka torso.

Tsuki-bu - It is a spot of the kendoka helmet that is located just in front of their throat, the tsuki-dare

He was holding the Shinai in his hands and did his best to stand in the ready pose.

Murayama stood in front of him in the same armor.

They told him that they don't usually wear these when they are practicing but since this is for competitions and matches, they figured they should show him this before going over the normal stuff.

Murayama spoke up to Danny as she readied herself. "Are you ready, Danny?"

Danny nodded but he was a little uncomfortable with the whole armor set. He had worn armor before but this was a lot more restrictive than what he was used to but he would deal with it.

Katase called for the match to begin as she was set as the referee.

Murayama didn't wait for Danny and she made the first move and swung at Danny.

Danny had trouble moving and he couldn't do anything to avoid the hit on his chest.

"Point!"

Murayama stepped back to her starting point and got ready once more. "This is how we do competitions, but if you join, you can practice with the rest of us. We also have some sword practice with bokuto, if the shinai aren't up your alley."

Danny had no idea what a bokuto was but he figured it was some other sort of wooden sword. "Good to know."

"Begin."

Murayama waited a few moments this time as she tapped her shinai on his a few times before swinging for his head.

Danny was able to step back to avoid the hit and brought his sword down in an overhead slash.

Murayama blocked the obvious strike and shifted her shinai to strike at his neck.

"Point."

She moved back to her spot once more.

Danny brought his gloved hand to his throat. 'Man, I know I can't move well in this thing but if this was a real fight, I would be breathing out of my throat. I guess I can stop holding back, a tad bit.' He brought his sword back up and looked at Murayama.

Katase looked at both and called for the match to start once more. "Begin."

Murayama decided to end it here and moved again to strike at Danny, but this time, he blocked her strike to his head and slid his shinai down to tap the side of her head.

"Point!"

Murayama was surprised by the actions since she couldn't see him move. The only tell that she was hit was the fact that his shinai was on the side of her helmet and hers was at the side.

Danny pulled his shinai away and smiled before he pulled his helmet off. "Ok, that was kinda fun."

This match was best out of three and it was clear that Murayama won. He just wasn't gonna leave it without him not getting a hit in.

Murayama took her own helmet off and asked. "I didn't see you move when you struck, have you done this before and just making fun of us?" She frowned at him as she didn't like the idea of him just messing with them.

Danny frantically shook his head. "No no no, I just moved. I've never held one of those Shinai before. I just wasn't used to wearing this armor ao when I finally got the hang of it, I was able to shift my body in order to make the move."

Katase walked up to Danny as she spoke. "I don't think any of us saw you move, you were so fast." Wanting to get to the thing they were anxious about, she asked. "So, what do you think of the club?"

Danny put the helmet under his arm as he thought about it. The club was a sports club, something that he never thought he would take part in, but this was a different school, a different country, so why not change things up? Besides, since he wasn't going to go ghost hunting every night now, he would need something to take up his time. He still had to buy some electronics for his home for his free time but this was a good choice. He looked at the girls and smiled. "Are you willing to add one guy to the club?"

The girls cheered as their club just got a new member, the foreigner, and someone who isn't like the perverted trio. They could even consider him the "foreign prince" if his popularity continues to improve.

~Student council~

Sona was sitting at her desk as she heard Tsubaki's report on Danny's response. "I suppose all we can do is wait for his final answer and if he is willing to join us."

Tsubaki nodded as that was all they could do.

"Do we really need him on the council? He doesn't look all that capable to me." Came the complaint of Saji Genshirou, Sona's pawn, and wielder of a sacred gear known as Absorbtion line. He was a skinny boy with short blonde hair and blue eyes.

Momo looked at him as she began to explain. "It isn't about whether he is capable, it's about if he has something worth obtaining. Don't forget, despite how we are able to detect him when he was in the mall, he continued to disappear from their senses and somehow bypassed them back to the first floor before disappearing from their senses."

Sona nodded. "The purpose for the invite was to keep him within arms reach. If he had accepted, we would have put him on a trial period so we could figure out what sort of power he has and if he is part of another faction."

Saji let out a breath as he nodded. "I get that but I still can't detect anything from the guy."

Tsubaki turned to him and responded. "That is because you have yet to hone that skill yet. At the moment, we can all detect his location and based on what we can sense, he may be at the kendo club right now. As he is going through all the clubs, he might be trying-"

They all paused as they could detect a slight spike in his power before it died down to its normal level.

Saji was confused about why they all stopped but got his answer when Sona let out a sigh and began to rub her temples.

"With the number of times he continues to spike his power, I am starting to think he is trying to give us all a headache."

Tsubaki suddenly came up with a thought about his spike in power. "Perhaps he is trying to signal someone while maintaining a facade of innocence."

Sona's look darkened as that could very well be a possibility. "There are too many unknowns about him. I want a continued observation of him. If anything suspicious about him were to show up, we will confront him. If we mistakenly reveal ourselves to him while he knows nothing, we will have to bring him in." She looked to Tsubasa who nodded in confirmation.

Rias and Akeno were playing a chess match when they felt the spike of power.

Akeno hummed in thought as she was still unsettled by the power she felt coming from the new boy. "It seems he isn't doing a good job keeping his power hidden."

Rias nodded. "True, and I wish I knew what his intentions are. There has to be a reason for him to be here. Sona told me about his admission but there is something more going on with that. A foreigner accepted into our school with a strange power we have never felt before almost sounds like an infiltration."

Akeno looked back at the board as she moved a piece. "Perhaps we should observe him as well. Koneko seems to be focused on him every time he is around. Maybe she should observe him when she has the chance."

Rias bit her thumbnail as she thought about it. "I don't want to put her in unnecessary danger if he is a threat." She reached up to move one of her pieces.

"It could be a sacred gear he has that is giving off the feeling and we are misreading things."

Rias nodded. "But it is a major gamble and we don't have all the pieces of the puzzle. But for now, we will see how things play out, and if there is trouble, we will have to be ready." She placed her piece down and spoke. "Check."

Her king was placed to take Akeno's king if it was to take the rook.

~Later~

Danny was sitting at his desk, tongue sticking out as he was super focused on the small pieces in his hand. "Easy, easy….aaaaaaannnnnnd, there!"

He was in the middle of working on one of the shuttle models that he had brought with him as he had finished everything else he needed to do. He had just attached one tiny piece that needed to be accurately placed if he wanted it to look right.

Danny nodded as he gently placed it down and looked at the TV dinner he had at the side. He sighed as saw it was empty and got up to take it to the trash in downstairs. "It's only been a few days and I already miss Jazz's cooking. Hell, even mom's cooking if it didn't rise from the dead and attack us."

He regretted not learning how to cook but he never thought he would have to know it so soon since Jazz handled most of the cooking with his mom doing one right on occasion.

His dad was a lost cause unless it was fudge.

He moved his thoughts away from that and back to the Kendo club he had joined. They had told him that they would put in an order for equipment he could wear since most of what they had was for females. He actually looked forward to it as it would be something that might rid him of his antsy need to move since he wouldn't be fighting anymore. And he didn't have to worry about taking any serious damage.

Danny made it to the kitchen and threw away the empty tray before making his way to the fridge. He opened it up and grabbed a soda that he found at the grocery store that was actually pretty good. He opened it up and was about to take a sip when his whole body froze. His eyes shot wide open before his head jerked to the side. He threw the can to the ground and ran toward the wall before stopping in his tracks.

His breathing was heavy, and he looked like he was struggling as he placed a hand on the wall and hung his head. "No, these things happen. It doesn't mean anything. It could be nothing, just a passing event with no other reason." He sounded like he was trying to convince himself of this as he took a breath and stood up straighter. "It's fine. These things happen all the time. They happen. They happen." He took another deep breath and nodded. "Right. That's all it is…. and if this stupid buzzing …. would go away, I would feel better!" he raised his voice on the last word and looked up at the ceiling as if saying it to a higher power. Once he did that, he looked back to the kitchen and saw the spilled soda on the ground. He groaned as he moved to clean up his dropped drink. "Great way to end the day."

Outside of Danny's household, Tsubasa and Ruruko looked at each other as they saw his action through his window.

Ruruko tilted her head as she gestured toward the house. "What was that?"

Tsubasa shook her head. "I don't know, but we should make note of that." She looked away from the household and into the distance as she narrowed her eyes. "We will need to report that to Sona as soon as we can." She looked back to the house and narrowed her eyes. "His reaction was almost around the same time. Did he sense it or something else?" Danny was becoming an issue for them already and he had only been there for a few days. One thing she knew was that Danny was not normal.

Back inside, Danny stood up from the ground as he crumpled up the paper towel he used to wipe up the soda. He turned around to take it to the trash and didn't see the other spot of soda that he stepped in. "GEH!" His foot slipped from the liquid and found himself falling to the ground. "Argh!"

Yep, not normal at all.
