Chapter 451 - Chapter 446: More Than Just Revenge

Kaida had a very peculiar expression on his face. When he came to this world, he had a very simple goal in his life: to stay alive till the story progressed enough that he could live a normal life.

Till the main character dealt with all of the problems of the world and he would get to live a life he ever wanted. But slowly, the problems of the world started to become his own problems.

The cruelty he had seen somehow started to become too much to ignore and leave it to the main character to do everything right. With his starting view similar to Naruto about war and violence not being the only way to achieve peace, he started to empathize and connect with the ideology of people like Madara, Pain, and even Sasuke. The world needed something to fear; it should have been gods, but since even gods in this world are just selfish existences who only care about increasing their own powers, there needed to be a threat even those gods fear.

'This world really deserves some peace,' a thought came to Kaida's mind when he saw the boy he had found covered in filth and garbage, who secretly threw away the money covered with blood so Kaida would not see that side of his.

The boy who had thought a moldy bread was the best food, now eating and smiling with a loving family.

There were thousands if not millions of such children all around the world, some in ninja villages, some in civilian villages, who don't know why suddenly one day their parents never return home, why their poor but happy family suddenly shattered in a single night just because of the whims of a ninja who was having a bad day.

Initially when he knew this fact, Kaida had thought that there was nothing he could do about this fact other than helping those in front of him with a little help.

But it was like attaching back a severed arm with band-aids, something just to feel good that you did something for them, when in reality the work you did meant nothing.

Even knowing that deep down, there was nothing more Kaida could have done, but now, now things are different. Having felt the cruelty of the world first hand, coming so close to losing the girl who wants to spend her whole life with him, and actually losing a friend who was ready to give his life for a single promise.

The inhumanity of this world had slapped him in his face, waking him up from the dream-like state he had been in where he had been thinking that everything was going to be alright, and someone else was going to handle things for him. The promise he made to Ryota has suddenly become much more to him than just revenge. Even though the anger was still present inside, it was somehow molding itself in the form of a goal which will always be present in Kaida's heart, ready to remind him why he is working so hard.

Having a clear goal in his mind, one thing also became clear: 'I am still not strong enough to do anything about all this... for now.'

"Where are you going, Kaida?" Hae asked when Kaida suddenly stood up and started going out of the dining room.

"Nature's call, Aunt."

"Okay, make sure to wash your hands," Hae said and started focusing on the youngest members of the families.

"Hehehe," a chuckle came from Naruto.

Kaida smiled and went to the washroom in his room, where he created a shadow clone with almost 95% of his chakra reserves, which at this point was even larger than Naruto's, almost 1.5 times.

Even though it was not much of a feat to say that you have more chakra than a 5-year-old child, but when the child in the discussion is an Uzumaki and Namikaze combo with a tailed beast with the most amount of chakra in the world sealed inside him with a seal that will constantly take the beast's chakra and increase Naruto's chakra reserves, then yes, even such an absurd comparison had some merits.

With that much chakra, the shadow clone will be able to multiply to at least 100 more of them and will be able to train for the whole night while Kaida will be busy refilling his chakra reserves. Because even after getting the boost in his body after whatever happened at Mount Myoboku, Kaida still needed quite some time to refill his chakra reserve.

As even though his chakra absorption speed has increased to twice what it was before, the size of his chakra reserve is now four times what he had. So in comparison, he now needs twice the amount of time to refill his chakra reserve, but this doesn't just come with downsides.

Because with the amount of chakra his clone had, they can practice some really chakra-intensive things without getting dispersed very soon.

Aside from that, there were also two more things he had not been focusing on as much as he should have been.

'First,' Kaida thought, and soon his whole body started to get covered in black lines, and Kaida estimated the current size of the mitotic regeneration seal he had, which was disappointingly low. He only had half of his normal amount of chakra in the seal when the seal was able to store around 20 times what his normal chakra capacity was.

This needs chakra. In a fight, this could become as great of an asset as Mangekyo, and then there was fuinjutsu, a skill so deadly that the whole ninja world decided to collaborate to erase it from the map of the world.

Now that he had the chance of learning that skill, he would be a fool if he didn't give his all for it. So with most things done and planned in his mind, Kaida went back to the dining room to complete the dinner he left.

'I really have to work on impulse control,' Kaida thought, coming back to the dinner, as it was weird even for him to do all that just because he decided to change how he was going to move from now on. He could have very well sent the clone after eating the food, but the sudden burst of motivation and clarity can force people to do stupid things.

Chuckling to himself, he completed his dinner with the new family. The next day when Yomi came back, Kimimaro and she were introduced to each other, and Kimimaro got himself a new big sister. After coming back for so long, Kaida took Yomi out for a small ice cream date.

After talking about various topics, like the training of Yomi, the progress she had made, and how the mission Kaida just did went, Yomi brought out the topic going on her mind for quite some time.

"I think we should increase the size of our house a little, maybe adding all three of the houses in our surrounding will do," she said.

"What, why do you think that?" Kaida said, eating his own ice cream.

"Well, every time you go on a mission, you bring back someone with you. With how young you are in your ninja career... we may have to make an entire village for the people you have rescued," Yomi chuckled at that.

"Yeah, yeah, very funny."

"I am not joking though, I was really serious about that. I really like the fact that you don't look away from the obvious suffering of people and honestly try to help them. That is one more thing to like about you," Yomi said, looking toward Kaida with eyes that were much more mature than what her age would suggest.

"That's... not true. I have not rescued everyone I could. There were various children in the villages we had stopped, various people trying everyday on those islands to put even a little food in the bellies of their family. I did nothing for them. I couldn't do anything for them. The only reason I saved that boy is because... because I am selfish," Kaida said, looking down, his ice cream melting and staining his hand, but Kaida didn't pay any attention to that, neither did Yomi.

"If a person going out of their way to help a person who they don't even know is selfish, then I think every person in the world should be one. Also, you are not God, Kaida. You couldn't help the whole world. It is fine to help just those we can, and slowly work our way up so that the number will keep on increasing."

"That's the plan," Kaida said, taking out a hanky to clean both his and Yomi's hands.

"One more ice cream, please."
