Yang read the sentence twice.
Predict.
That word was worse than threshold.
Threshold at least stood still.

Finance did not answer.

At nine-thirty, the operations manager explained the situation.

Yang frowned.
"Not before what?"

"That is not a date. That is a threat."
"It reduces premature follow-up."
"Worse."
Reducing anything useful was never a small injury.
It was always the first symptom.
