Chapter 383 - The Second Hall Smells Like Memory

The phrase "smells like memory" should not have existed in a work report.

Yang Ruoqian believed this very firmly.

Work reports should contain numbers, deadlines, risks, and enough boring language to make the system yawn. They should not contain smell. Smell was impossible to depreciate, difficult to refute, and extremely easy for emotional people to exaggerate.

By ten in the morning, three different people had mentioned the second hall's smell. The cinema manager said it smelled like old wood and paper tickets. The safety inspector said it had "strong site continuity." Huang Wei, who should have known better, wrote that the smell might help staff understand the venue's original texture.

Yang Ruoqian circled the word texture.

"No one is to sell smell," he said.

Chang Zhiqing looked at him carefully. "Sell... smell?"
