Blue's wings buzzed faster, and she floated even closer to his face, practically nose to nose with the giant man. "Because I know Ty better than you know Alexander. And I know that no matter what happens, Ty isn't going down without a fight. He's not just some demon you can swat away like a fly. He's smart. He's strong. And he's got people who believe in him." She jabbed a tiny finger toward the man's chest. "So don't you dare underestimate him."
The man's eyes flickered with a mix of surprise and amusement at her boldness. "You're quite the talker, aren't you?" he murmured, his tone still low and dangerous but lacking the previous condescension. He leaned back again, his massive frame settling into the chair with a creak of leather. "But talk only gets you so far. Actions are what matter in this world."
