Chapter 189 - Chapter 189

Bill Curt paced into the quiet interior of his bungalow, locking the reinforced deadbolt behind him with three set turns. The lingering commotion on the street outside faded into a low distant murmur.

In the kitchen, he set his heavy briefcase on the counter and immediately set to work. He moved with a expertise while he began pulling out a large stainless steel pot and preparing a substantial batch of heavy stew and rice—a meal far too large for a man living alone.

As the food simmered, the hollow, erratic tension in his posture gave way to an unsettling, tranquil focus.

Once cooked, Bill ladled the steaming meal into six deep metal bowls, arranging them carefully onto a heavy wooden tray beside a large, filled water pitcher.

Lifting the tray, he walked down the narrow hallway to a concealed door hidden behind a fake pantry panel. Unlocking the heavy iron latch, he descended the concrete stairs into the cold, damp expanse of his basement.

The basement was dimly lit by a single bare bulb hanging from a central beam. Bound along the far concrete wall were six young women, each secured with heavy leather harnesses and gagged with thick cloth. As always, he marveled at how In stark contrast to his previous solo setup, the room now held a full assembly.

At the sound of his heavy footsteps hitting the concrete caused several of the women to flinched violently, letting out muffled whimpers of terror, while others remained slumped against their restraints, their eyes dull, hollow, and completely drained of strength.

Above their heads, a newly installed network of industrial PVC piping ran along the ceiling beams, branching into small funnel intakes directly above each section of the wall. Bill set the tray down on a central wooden table, picked up the water jug, and walked over to the main intake funnel, pouring the water directly into the line.

He stood there for a moment, his bloodshot eyes drifting across each face with a bizarre, agonizing expression—a twisted mixture of genuine pity, sadness, and deep, ritualistic regret.

"Almost time," he murmured softly to the room, his voice barely above a whisper. "Just a little longer."

Turning back to the table, Bill laid out the metal bowls in a neat, symmetrical line. He walked over to the wall and began removing the cloth gags one by one, ignoring the quiet gasps and terrified pleading of the captives.

He stopped in front of a young woman of mixed Asian descent, her dark hair matted against her forehead. Her legs were bound tight with heavy steel braces, completely immobilizing her lower body. Bill unbuckled her main chest harness from the wall anchor, transferring her wrist cuffs to a longer, overhead steel chain. The new length allowed her just enough room to lean forward toward the table, reach for a spoon, and feed herself, while keeping her safely anchored to the foundation of the house.

"Consume," Bill said gently, setting a steaming bowl directly within her reach and pushing a metal spoon into her trembling fingers. "You'll need your strength for what comes next."

The girl didn't move or rather, she was scared to move. The past torture and agony she had gone through in bills clutches made her loose hope in continuing to live. But even that was a luxury.

Bill stood over the young woman, resting his hands casually on his hips as he watched her posture remain stiff and unmoving.

"You ought to eat while it's warm," he said, his tone shockingly mild, almost paternal. "A proper meal keeps the blood rich. Nourishment... that's the foundation for growth, you see. You can't refine what isn't fueled."

The woman remained entirely silent, her knuckles white as she squeezed the metal handle of the spoon, too terrified to raise her eyes.

Bill let out a long, heavy sigh, looking up at the bare concrete ceiling as if appealing to an unseen audience. "Look at what this city has turned into. Vile, selfish, chaotic... just an ugly stain from top to bottom. People wandering around completely hollowed out, oblivious to the filth they walk in every single day. I'm not doing this out of malice, you should understand. I'm trying to fix it. I'm taking what's broken and making it pure. Making something truly beautiful out of all of you."

At those words, a spark of fierce raging hatred broke through the young woman's terror.

She snapped her head up, her matted dark hair falling away from her neck. Revealed beneath the strands was a ghastly, jagged seam—a thick strip of skin near her collarbone that had been sliced away and crudely stitched back together with surgical thread.

Stripped down to her undergarments, her arms and torso were a roadmap of raw cuts, precise incisions, and dark, raised sutures—a horrific testament of Bill's relentless, experimental handiwork.

"Beautiful?" She choked mid-word, her voice raspy, raw, and trembling with venom as she coughed against the dry air in her throat. "You... you absolute demon! What did I ever do to you?! What did any of us do to deserve being dragged into this sick, twisted hellhole you've built under the dirt?!" She choked, "I had a life! I had a family, a job, people who loved me, and you snatched me off the street like trash just to butcher me on a concrete floor! Look at me! Look at what you've done to my body! You cut us up, you stitch us back together like ragdolls, and then you stand there with that grotesque, pathetic look of pity on your face talking about beauty?! You aren't saving anyone! You're a sick, hollow lunatic, and whatever hell is waiting for you when you die, it won't be nearly painful enough for what you've put us through!"

Her chest heaved violently as her voice broke into a ragged, gasping cough, tears of pure fury streaming down her cheeks.
