Chapter 64: How Many Research Institutes Did Shanhe University Acquire?

However, just as Zhou Zuomin was focused on his phone, he suddenly received an email notification. The sender's signature was the official email account of Shanhe University.

"Shanhe University email?" Zhou Zuomin muttered, his expression changing with surprise. He wondered if Shanhe University knew about the joint statement of all schools and sent him a retention email.

With a mix of curiosity and doubt, he turned on his laptop and clicked on the email. To his surprise, there were no words of retention in the email, only an attachment.

"Textbook for engineering physics major of Shanhe University. School starts in two months, and the textbooks will be distributed in advance? It's still an electronic version," Zhou Zuomin said, furrowing his brows as he pondered.

Simultaneously, he moved the mouse to download the textbook. Upon opening the attachment, he realized that this electronic version of the textbook was indeed for engineering physics, divided into three volumes: upper, middle, and lower.

"It's just a textbook. I'll read it later when I have time. Make a phone call first," Zhou Zuomin's wife urged, fearing he would forget about it.

"Don't rush," Zhou Zuomin waved his hand, keeping his eyes fixed on the computer screen, appearing absorbed, like a statue.

Half an hour later, his wife grew impatient. "When are you going to make that call? You've been reading for half an hour without blinking your eyes. Are the teaching materials from this new university really that great?"

"Teaching materials from this new university?" Zhou Zuomin replied, lifting his gaze. He couldn't help but smile wryly. "You call this textbook teaching materials?"

His wife, puzzled, said, "Of course. It's a newly established university; the teaching materials are probably copied from other universities in the country."

Zhou Zuomin, looking deep into her eyes, responded, "If the teaching materials from other domestic universities could reach this level, our country would have become the world's number one power by now."

Zhou Zuomin was well aware of the high quality of this textbook. The middle volume, in particular, contained cutting-edge theoretical results that he had only seen in foreign SCI journals, research conducted by top international research institutes.

"Do you know? This textbook is filled with cutting-edge theories in today's physics, all researched by top foreign research institutes after countless hours of painstaking effort.

Each theory can propel the field of engineering physics in China forward significantly. Every theory is an unimaginable wealth!" Zhou Zuomin said with a mix of shock, excitement, and admiration.

Indeed, the level of expertise in this textbook was far beyond what one would expect from a newly established university.

"This textbook will be more than enough for me to use as a study guide," Zhou Zuomin added.

At forty-five years old, he was already a senior professor of engineering physics in China and had participated in numerous significant projects. Despite his deep knowledge of domestic textbooks, the middle volume of this textbook was completely foreign to him.

Realizing the horror of the textbook, Zhou Zuomin's wife asked, "Then are you still going to make that call?"

Zhou Zuomin rolled his eyes and replied, "Forget it! Block the forty-five colleges and universities if they want to block us. I've decided to teach at Shanhe University."

He was drawn by the quality of the teaching materials. Now he truly believed that what Qin Mu told him was accurate. Teaching at Shanhe University would indeed lead to a qualitative improvement in his professional abilities.

In another place, at a private aviation university in Lucheng, Yu Guangchu, the Vice-Chancellor, received an email from Shanhe University containing an 80 GB attachment, "Aerospace Engineering Professional" textbook.

Yu Guangchu had recently signed an employment contract with Shanhe University, despite his previous position as Vice President of the Civil Aviation University. He had made a swift decision to switch after seeing the statements issued by other universities.

The email puzzled him because he already had extensive knowledge of aerospace teaching materials.

Opening the email, Yu Guangchu found that the content was divided into five volumes, the first being the familiar basic theoretical knowledge for aerospace majors that he himself had compiled.

However, starting from the second volume, the content became extremely advanced and esoteric, far beyond the level of a standard college textbook.

"Is this textbook intended for college students?" Yu Guangchu wondered as he continued to read the following volumes. The advanced content included the latest aerospace research from around the world, covering topics like spacecraft aerodynamics, breaking the third cosmic speed, and spacecraft manufacturing technologies.

"This... how many top foreign research institutes did Shanhe University acquire?" Yu Guangchu exclaimed in shock as he continued to read the content.
