Chapter 61: The Joint Statement of All Schools - A Naked Conspiracy

"What? Can't do it?" Yu Tianzhou's face darkened as he noticed Xu Yan's hesitation.

"It can be done, it can be done!" Xu Yan quickly nodded, not wanting to offend the principal any further.

He had learned the hard way that the hierarchy in official settings could be overwhelming. The higher-ups issued orders, and those below had to execute them without question.

This version of Shanhe University's notice was indeed creative and garnered the empathy of the majority of netizens. However, Xu Yan was unsure if they could surpass it.

"Shanhe University can only try hard in these areas. Attracting attention through flashy methods won't last, and their true colors will eventually be revealed!" Yu Tianzhou remarked.

Despite his slightly softened expression, his words still dripped with disdain and contempt for Shanhe University.

He firmly believed that, in the grand scheme of things, Shanhe University was no match for their universities. In terms of teaching facilities, faculty members, and research capabilities, Shanhe University fell short.

Their university boasted a faculty of 4,000 members, with 3,800 holding doctoral degrees and 1,500 having professional titles, including 300 professors.

In contrast, Shanhe University, though currently in the spotlight, had been established for just a month. If it had a hundred faculty members, that would already be impressive.

"Principal, there are already 800 teaching staff members at Shanhe University," Xu Yan cautiously reminded him.

"Eight hundred? How is that possible?" Yu Tianzhou was incredulous, considering that Shanhe University had only been established for a short time, and its stability was still uncertain. Where had these eight hundred faculty members come from?

"I saw it on the official website, which has updated the latest faculty ratio of Shanhe University," Xu Yan replied, giving a wry smile.

He retrieved his phone and opened Shanhe University's official website. The site was currently experiencing high traffic, causing it to freeze momentarily.

The faculty information displayed showed that 800 teaching staff members were currently employed, spanning various disciplines. More than ten colleges within Shanhe University had recruited vice presidents, and the positions of college deans remained vacant.

"Yu Guangchu, Song Zuomin, Zhao Wu, Liu Ping..." Yu Tianzhou mumbled as he looked at the names in the faculty and staff lists.

He recognized many of these names, as they were renowned experts in various fields. Still, even in Shanhe University, the highest position they held was that of vice president.

"How on earth did Shanhe University manage to recruit these individuals?" Yu Tianzhou muttered to himself, clearly flabbergasted.

The university had only been established for a month, yet they had assembled an astonishing team of 800 faculty members. The efficiency of such recruitment was nothing short of remarkable.

It was essential to note that some of these individuals had received invitations from Yenching University but had declined. The universities had no idea how Shanhe University had managed to entice them.

"I don't know either," Xu Yan confessed with a wry smile. He was equally surprised, never expecting Shanhe University to acquire such a substantial number of teaching staff discreetly.

After a moment of silence, Yu Tianzhou took a deep breath and stated, "Contact the other top universities in the country. Let's issue a joint statement."

Several days ago, he had led the universities to ally and agree to boycott Shanhe University. Their motive was to pressure Shanhe University, a dubious institution that had seemingly appeared out of thin air, to close down as soon as possible. They aimed to create a "sunny day" for domestic education.

Hours later, a joint statement was released by 45 domestic universities, expressing their unanimous stance.

In their statement, they argued that Shanhe University's actions were tarnishing the reputation of higher education institutions. They branded it as a stain on the landscape of Chinese universities.

The statement further declared that none of the 45 universities would employ any teacher who had previously worked at Shanhe University.

The release of this statement sent shockwaves across the internet and stirred significant controversy.

"What's going on? Teachers who have worked at Shanhe University are no longer wanted?"

"It's over. I never expected these universities to be so shameless, using such tactics. They're determined to shut down Shanhe University as soon as possible and eliminate any competition."

"These 45 universities, led by Yenching University, are all top institutions in China, wielding significant influence."

"This is an obvious conspiracy. Who would dare to teach at Shanhe University in the future?"

After understanding the situation, netizens grew apprehensive about the future of Shanhe University.

These 45 universities had abandoned any semblance of fairness and had publicly boycotted Shanhe University. They were using a conspiracy to suppress and prevent talented individuals from various industries from joining Shanhe University.
