Ken also had quite a crush on Kurotsuchi. From his memories, the adult version of her was quite hot. Thankfully, he had not hit puberty yet or it would have been awkward for him to be in front of her without doing something stupid.

Ken was excited and hoped that he would be matched up with both Kurotsuchi and Deidara in the final part of the chunin exams.
'Wait, if the opponents are selected by that screen thingy, maybe I can ask grandpa to manipulate it a little and give me the opponents that I wish to face. Yup, that's a brilliant plan!' Ken then listened to Shikaku telling them about the other participants.
"As for Kiri, One of the new seven swordsman of the mist Ameyuri Ringo would be participating. She wields the kiba blades. And then there is also the late third Mizukage's student, the genius of Kiri, Mangetsu Hōzuki." Shikaku said as his face turned serious.
"He is strong. As strong as a Jonin. Be careful of him. He is also a member of Hozuki clan which allows him to turn to water and ignore physical attacks, any weapons thrown at him and most of ninjutsus except lightning ninjutsus. But don't you kids worry because your sensei would teach you how to deal with the Hozuki. He also weilds the Hiramekarei by the way," As Shikuro told them about Mangetsu, the genins started thinking about how they would deal with such a person.
'If I am not wrong Ameyuri Ringo is some redhead crazy girl. Why are all redheads in the animes have anger issues or are crazy? Kushina, Ameyuri, Erza Scarlett, her mother, Mereoleona Vermillion etc.'
'Anyways, Mangetsu should be the brother of that Suigetsu who was one of Orichimaru's research subjects. If I am not wrong both Mangetsu and Ameyuri Ringo died of some disease. Why do all geniuses have to die of some disease? Even Itachi suffered from one. But it's suspicious that both of them died of a disease. Was it natural or unnatural? Damn, why did not the anime tell about these things? I hope that I don't change the outcome of their deaths just by existing in this world. I don't want to be the reason for Kiri getting more bloodthirsty Shinobi.' Ken shuddered at that thought.
'I would love to test my swordsmanship against these two. My swords might not have some special power but they are pretty sharp and durable and that's all I need. As for the Hozuki clan's ability to turn into water, I wonder what would happen if I just freeze them. Or maybe I could just vaporize the entire water with my Lava release.'
"I don't have much information about who is coming from Kumo. But expect someone strong coming since they would not want to show a poor performance as compared to other villages." Shikuro said
'I don't think that there were any special individuals in Kumo around my age. The only one that I can think about is Samui who should be around Kakashi's age. She should already be a jonin. Well, I would not mind having her come to our village as a Jonin sensei. Uhhh.....on second thought she shouldn't come. If she comes here then Grandpa would start slacking on his job and would start using more of his crystal ball.' Ken thought before focusing back on what his sensei was saying.
"You also can't forget that you are not the only team from Konoha that is participating. There are many Konoha Genin teams comprising of genins from all sorts of Konoha clans who would be participating in the exams. There are other talented genins from Uchiha clan, Ino-Shiko-Cho and Hyuga clans that are also participating. This might be one of the biggest chunin exams in terms of both the number of participants as well as the number of talented genins." Shikuro said in a stern tone.
"We would not be doing any more missions and would start training for the exams. The chunin exams are extremely important for the village and everyone expects good showing from you guys." Shikuro said as the genins nodded excited to train for the chunin exams.
