Inside the car, Ariel sat silently beside Horace, still shaken by everything that had happened.
"Uncle Thomas has lost his mind," she whispered sadly. "How can I help him?"
Horace looked at her for a moment before smiling faintly.
"You're too kindhearted for this world," he murmured. "Sweet, brilliant… you're so perfect for this cruel world."
Ariel looked at him quietly, her swallow from crying so much.
"And because of you," he continued, "I'll have him taken to a psychiatric hospital. I think it's the best place for him now, instead of leaving him out her to die. What do you think?"
Ariel took a deep breath, a faint smile appeared on her lips.
"You're kindhearted as well." I think is the best thing to do now… but we should hear Elizabeth's opinion first."
"Whatever you say, baby."
After Samuel finally managed to calm Elizabeth down, they all gathered near the cars where Ariel brought up the idea.
