Chapter 912 - 912 One Piece: The Promised Land, Enel's Madness, Allen's Wrath, and The King's Power, Stealing God's Power, and His Fall.

"10,000,000 Volt! Vari!"

A bolt of energy shot across the sky without hitting anything. It had come from Enel's hand, which remained raised after his attack missed.

"For a god, your aim isn't very good," Allen mocked as he appeared behind Enel.

Enel turned to face him. He wasn't surprised. Since the other side also possessed Mantra, landing a hit would be difficult, though not impossible.

"30,000,000 Volt, Vari!" Enel shouted, and an even larger bolt of lightning burst from his hand toward Allen.

Allen disappeared once again and reappeared to the right.

"Let me guess, you got tired of ruling and wanted a vacation," Allen laughed. "Otherwise, I don't see the point of having a flying ship made of gold. Ah, I get it now! It was a gift for me all along! That's right, you must have sensed my birth years ago and prepared this present to celebrate my glory!"

"You understand nothing!" Enel raised his hand toward the sky. "Thor!"

Allen smiled before disappearing just as a pillar of lightning crashed down from the heavens.

Enel clicked his tongue. He himself was arrogant and egotistical, but compared to Allen's ego, he looked humble.

"Do you really not want to surrender? I'm in a good mood right now, and I treat my subjects very well."

Allen's smile made Enel want to tear his head off. Did this guy really expect a god to submit to him?!

"I've worked too hard for this day, and no one is going to ruin it!" Enel growled. He vanished and reappeared in front of Allen at the speed of lightning, placing his hand in front of Allen's face before smiling sadistically. "100,000,000 Volt! Vari!"

A blinding flash illuminated the sky as a pillar of energy pierced through the clouds.

Enel maintained his sadistic grin for a moment, but soon his eyes narrowed because Allen was no longer there.

'Impossible! I'm sure I hit him!'

Enel couldn't believe someone could surpass both his speed and his Mantra so easily.

Allen smiled. He had invested everything he had left into a couple of Skills before his battle with Enel. One didn't seem particularly useful, but the other had been a pleasant surprise.

It was a unique form of teleportation originating with Bartholomew Kuma. Combined with his Observation Haki, that Skill allowed him to surpass Enel's lightning speed and fight him without pressure.

"You say I don't understand? Of course. I guess being a full-time voyeur and attacking from the comfort of your throne must be exhausting," Allen mocked.

Enel clenched his teeth and stretched out both hands.

"Sango!"

Many lightning bolts streaked across the sky over a wide area.

Enel knew Allen wouldn't be able to dodge this attack, so he smiled maliciously, anticipating his downfall. But Allen smiled before clenching his fist.

"Kyokaen!"

A massive wall of flames appeared, blocking every one of Enel's lightning bolts and leaving him dumbfounded.

Enel shook his head and regained his composure.

"You don't understand. All of God's trials, commandments, and strict rules were a way of filtering people, of finding those worthy enough to be chosen to board the Ark."

"That sounds like a lunatic's plan. What are you going to do there, hold an orgy?" Allen mocked once again.

Enel had never been more annoyed by anyone in his life. Even so, he had to admit Allen was a powerful opponent. He had never faced anyone this strong before.

'Lenalee, not yet?' Allen asked.

[No, just a little longer. But it's strange. Enel seems to be unconsciously keeping the Ark away from Upper Yard... but that doesn't make any sense.]

Allen also thought it was strange. Enel shouldn't know anything about either Lenalee or himself, and yet he kept avoiding bringing the Ark Maxim close to Allen.

[Maybe he's afraid you'll destroy it...]

'Nonsense. What kind of sacrilege would destroying that Ark be?! ...Well, maybe I'll do it so you can absorb it, but before that, there's no reason!'

[I don't know! Try provoking him more. Apparently, that Ark isn't just a flying ship, it's also some storm-generating device!]

Allen dodged another lightning bolt and once again put on that smile that drove everyone crazy.

"After gathering your chosen ones, what are you planning to do? Does it have something to do with that Fairy Vearth you mentioned earlier?"

Enel smiled arrogantly as he spread his arms. He looked eager to reveal his master plan, or perhaps he simply wanted to boast about it in front of Allen.

"Haha, that's right! For six years I made Gan Fall's soldiers work on Ark Maxim for me. This is the means to begin the legend, and now we're in the final stage! The Divine Selection!"

"I see... and where did all this gold come from?" Allen asked, completely ignoring Enel's egotistical and insane speech.

"Obviously from the ancient Golden City of Shandora!" Enel replied, raising an eyebrow.

Most of the people who invaded Upper Yard did so in search of the Golden City, unaware that Enel had already used all of its gold to build Maxim. Apparently, Allen hadn't come for the gold, and that calmed Enel slightly, since he'd been keeping Ark Maxim away from Allen for fear he would attack the flying ship.

"The Golden City... I think I've heard something about that," Allen said before appearing behind Enel. "And do you even know where this Fairy Vearth is, or is it just the delusion of a man with a god complex?!"

Enel vanished as well, putting distance between himself and Allen. Fortunately, Allen hadn't attacked during that opening. Even so, Enel had reached his limit. This battle had to end!

"Of course I know where it is! It's not in the sky! It's even higher!" Enel smiled as his body slowly grew while transforming into a hybrid form of living lightning. "200,000,000 Volt Amaru!"

Allen wasn't impressed by Enel's appearance. Instead, his thoughts lingered on Enel's words.

'Above the sky?' Allen looked upward, beyond all the clouds. There was only outer space. His eyes widened.

"The moon?!"

[The moon!]

Enel was surprised that Allen had reached that conclusion. Allen shook his head. Almost the entire puzzle had fallen into place. Only one question remained.

"And what will happen to everyone else?" Allen asked, this time with a slightly colder gaze that Enel failed to notice.

The man who believed himself to be a god smiled with arrogant benevolence, as though his actions were both a blessing and an inevitability.

"They will be purified..."

....

"Allen-san," Conis said.

The girl clasped her hands together while looking toward the sky as though offering a prayer, though not to Enel or to Vearth, but to the young man who had suddenly entered her life like a storm destined to destroy everything to create a new future.

"Don't worry. That idiot will be fine," Uta laughed. "He's way too stubborn to die up there."

Mikita grinned mischievously. "Besides, Captain still hasn't tasted the fruit of the sky~."

Conis blushed while Robin lightly smacked Mikita on the head.

"Don't say things like that," Robin sighed.

"Ouch, sorry." Mikita stuck out her tongue.

The rest of the girls had already gathered together. All of God's forces had been defeated, and now they were only waiting for the battle in the sky to end.

....

Enel silently observed Allen. The atmosphere around him had changed. That carefree feeling had vanished.

Before he knew it, his eyes shifted to the right, where he instinctively raised his arm to block a punch.

"Ugh..."

Enel staggered back, feeling pain as his arm went numb.

"Damn you..."

Once again, Allen appeared in front of him, drove a fist into his abdomen, and sent him flying.

"Argh! Impossible!"

The man who believed himself to be a god couldn't comprehend what he was seeing. Not only was he being cornered by a mere mortal, but that mortal was able to strike him even though his body was intangible.

"Who are you?!"

"I already told you. I'm the future King of Everything," Allen answered with a serious expression.

Enel had heard Allen say those words more than once, but he had never taken them seriously.

He was the god of Skypiea, Upper Yard, and every island in the sky, including Birka, his homeland. But even he had never imagined ruling the vast world below.

Allen raised one hand, and Enel reacted by instantly disappearing. This time, he was the one fleeing from Allen's attacks. However, it wasn't an attack at all. Allen had merely brushed his hair back.

"Are you scared?" Allen smiled.

"...!"

Enel felt humiliated. Never in his life had anyone treated him like this.

He had to show this bastard the consequences of underestimating him!

He had to show him what happened when you angered a god!

He had to show him his true power!

Enel's face twisted with rage as his body released enormous amounts of electricity. At the same time, the Ark Maxim changed course while its turbines accelerated.

"Hm?" Allen turned toward the Ark.

Ark Maxim began releasing black clouds from its upper section, creating a gigantic dark sphere that quickly grew to nearly the size of the entire Upper Yard.

"Hahahaha!"

Enel laughed hysterically and arrogantly.

"Behold the power of a god!"

"Raigo!"

The sphere lit up, transforming into a colossal sphere of electricity capable of erasing all of Upper Yard if it fell.

Enel's laughter filled everyone with terror, whether it was the people of the sky watching in horror from Skypiea, Gan Fall, the old man in armor flying toward Skypiea, or the Shandians, who halted their assault upon seeing that monstrosity and, for the first time, regarded Enel as a true god.

However, there was one group that felt no fear. It was Allen's crew.

The women watched the scene with serious expressions. Not a single one of them tried to flee. None of them took a step back, not even Conis.

....

In the sky, Allen clenched his fist, which turned jet-black with Armament Haki, and smiled. That's right, he smiled. Soon, crimson lightning erupted around him.

"Now you finally look like a god, Enel!"

Allen flew toward the gigantic sphere of energy, leaving behind a trail like a comet.

Enel sneered. He did not attempt to stop Allen. There was no way to halt that attack. Everything was futile. He merely looked forward to watching Allen's wings burn as punishment from the heavens for flying too close to the sun.

Allen paid no attention to Enel's malicious thoughts. Instead, he accelerated even further while his fist gathered more and more Armament Haki and Conqueror's Haki.

"GALAXY!"

To everyone's surprise, the entire landscape around them changed, resembling a star-filled sky.

"IMPACT!"

A massive shockwave burst from Allen's fist.

That energy entered the Raigo and disappeared.

Then everything went silent.

Enel laughed and mocked Allen. His attack had been swallowed by the Raigo. However, his laughter froze when his Mantra sensed something, and he immediately turned pale.

"Idiot, that's a nuke. Don't you know you're supposed to wait for the explosion?!" Allen grinned, and Enel's eyes widened.

*BOOOM*

Enel's Raigo began to crack before exploding from the inside, creating a shockwave even larger than the original Raigo and clearing the heavens.

"No way!" Enel was thrown away by the blast, whose impact could be felt even in Skypiea. "Damn... damn monster!"

....

When everything was over, Enel, who had crashed into Upper Yard, struggled back to his feet. He still couldn't believe that his strongest attack, amplified by Maxim, had been overpowered by a mere mortal.

Allen appeared in front of Enel. He looked perfectly fine. He didn't even seem tired after unleashing an attack like that, and for the first time, Enel felt fear, because it meant Allen could unleash another Galaxy Impact.

"I—"

Enel couldn't finish speaking because Allen's fist smashed into his face, breaking his nose.

"You shouldn't have spoken."

Enel tried to counterattack, but Allen grabbed his arm. Using his overwhelming physical strength enhanced by Garp's physique, he snapped it in half.

"Ahhh!" Enel screamed.

How long had it been since he'd last felt pain?!

"I'm someone who values my companions above everything else. What exactly did you think would happen after saying you'd destroy one of their homes?"

Allen slammed his forehead into Enel's face, shattering several of his teeth.

"Ugh! Ah! Damn you!" Enel transformed into lightning, hoping to escape Allen's grip, but it was impossible. Allen wasn't just using Armament Haki; he was also coating his attacks with Conqueror's Haki.

Allen clenched his fist, this time using not only Haki but also the power of the Gura Gura.

Every one of Enel's instincts screamed in alarm. He had to escape. He had to avoid that punch. But it was impossible. No matter how much electricity he released, Allen didn't seem affected in the slightest.

"No, wait!" Enel shouted desperately.

"Do you know the biggest difference between you and me?" Allen asked with an indifferent expression. "I'm aware that I'm weak in this world... and you're not."

Allen's punch slammed into Enel's abdomen. At the same time, it shattered the air itself, and all of Upper Yard began to tremble.

"AHHHHHRRRRGGG!"

Enel coughed up blood as his eyes rolled back, while cracks spread in every direction.

The world witnessed the fall of a god.

....

When it was over, Allen released Enel's arm, and Enel collapsed to the ground. He was still breathing faintly, causing Allen to raise his hand once more.

[Don't kill him!]

'Hm?'

[I have an idea...]

Lenalee appeared before Allen and grew until she was the size of a coffin.

"Lenalee?" Allen grimaced in surprise and shivered. Had she suddenly become carnivorous or something?!

[Idiot! I'm not going to absorb that bastard. Not only is he disgusting, but no one in this world would consider Enel a treasure! But his Devil Fruit!]

'Huh? Don't tell me!'

[I don't know, but we can try!]

Allen nodded, grabbed Enel, and tossed him inside the chest, which immediately closed.

Several minutes passed without anything happening. When Allen called out to Lenalee, she didn't respond.

Just as Allen was about to open the chest and pull Enel's body out, it suddenly sprang open, launching Enel out before he crashed mercilessly onto the ground.

[I did it!]

Lenalee shouted excitedly. She shrank back down and reappeared in Allen's hands. When she opened it, a Devil Fruit was revealed inside.

It was Enel's Goro Goro no Mi!

"What?!" Allen gasped.

The fact that Lenalee could steal Devil Fruits from other people was terrifying. If that secret ever got out, the World Government would send Admirals after his head.

"Oh well."

Allen shrugged. In the end, the World Government was going to hunt him down one way or another.

[Haha! Aren't I amazing?!]

"You are. Hmm... I feel like I'm forgetting something..."

At that very moment, the Ark Maxim, no longer able to stay airborne, began plummeting toward the ground.

"NO! MY GOLD!"

Allen teleported even faster than he had during his battle with Enel. If he lost all that gold, he would truly fall into despair.

A/N: Enel was either crazy or a misunderstood visionary; in the canon, he made it to the moon, and I have no idea how he survived in space.
