Angel was a beautiful girl, though she dressed peculiarly. Her eyes expressed contempt, as if she considered people filthy. However, Allen noticed that beneath that gaze, there was emptiness; perhaps this girl had lost something important in the past.
Wendy, at his side, trembled. She was a skilled mage, but in front of her stood a Saint Wizard, at least in terms of magical power.
"Don't worry..." Allen placed his hand on Wendy's head, comforting her.
"T-thank you..." Wendy lowered her head, embarrassed. It was inevitable. How could a girl without parents or friends outside her guild react to such sudden kindness?
A magic current began to pour out of Angel as she summoned two spirits. Allen smiled when he saw Lucy do the same without his help.
Leo and Taurus appeared by Lucy's side.
"Aries and Scorpio?" Allen looked at both with curiosity.
Scorpio, of the twelve zodiac spirits, had the appearance of a young man, athletic and tanned. His hair was short, spiky, and a vibrant orange. He wore dark sunglasses that reinforced his image, and his light clothing showed off his muscles. Extending from his back was a robust mechanical stinger shaped like a scorpion's tail.
"Don't hold a grudge, Leader!" said Scorpio, adjusting his sunglasses.
"Don't worry, Scorpio..." Leo replied solemnly, but his teeth clenched the moment he saw Aries.
"Leo-san..."
"Aries..."
You could feel the helplessness in Loke's voice.
"It's her..." Allen murmured.
Aries had the appearance of a delicate young woman, with a presence that radiated gentleness and calm. Her long, wavy, soft-pink hair cascaded over her shoulders. Her large, reddish eyes displayed sweetness, timidity, and fear… as if she avoided confrontation even in her gaze. She wore a white outfit adorned with golden details and lamb's wool trim. Her voice was soft and almost a whisper, as if she feared disturbing others with every word.
In the story Leo had told Allen, Aries was a pitiful girl. She went from being mistreated by Karen Lilica, Leo's former master, to becoming the property of a dark mage like Angel of Oración Seis. Allen was tempted to intervene and snatch Angel's key away, but he held back, since Angel would be Lucy's first serious opponent.
"I'm sorry..." said Aries, trembling as if about to cry.
"Stupid spirit, fight..." Angel had no patience to watch a soap opera between spirits, so she immediately ordered the attack.
Unable to resist, Aries created a sort of cotton-like substance and attacked. Scorpio did the same, creating a sandstorm.
Leo created a barrier to protect himself, but it shattered the instant it touched Aries' power.
"What?! Ahhh!"
"Leo!" Lucy shouted, unwilling to believe the difference was so great.
"Finite Incantatem..." Allen touched Lucy's shoulder, dispersing Scorpio's sandstorm.
"...!" Angel looked at this in astonishment.
"Don't worry, I'm here to cover your mistakes. Just do the best you can," Allen whispered words of encouragement to Lucy, filling her with warmth. Her fear dissipated, and she smiled at Angel with defiance.
"I don't know why you treat spirits so badly, but I won't lose to someone like you!"
Lucy's eyes lit up as her bracelet activated. She pointed forward.
"You don't deserve Aries and Scorpio!"
Two golden rays shot out from Lucy's bracelet and struck Leo and Taurus. Soon, both were clad in golden armor, which amplified their powers.
"Mou! With this power, I feel Invincible!" Taurus declared, charging with his golden axe like a knight of the zodiac straight at Scorpio.
"Fool," Allen murmured, watching the golden bull recklessly rush at such a strong enemy.
"Hahaha, how naive!"
Angel laughed arrogantly and poured more power into Scorpio, who groaned as if in pain. This caused Taurus to drop his guard and get struck by Scorpio's stinger.
"Urgh!"
"Taurus!"
Leo kicked Scorpio away, managing to push him back, but it wasn't without cost—he took Aries' attack to his back.
"I'm sorry!" Aries apologized, tears in her eyes, but she couldn't disobey Angel.
Neither Leo nor Lucy blamed her. Allen, for his part, felt pity for poor Aries. He was about to step in when Wendy took a step forward.
"Sky Dragon's Healing!"
A healing aura enveloped Leo and Taurus, surprising everyone except Allen, who already knew what kind of Dragon had taught Wendy magic.
"Wendy-chan?" Lucy opened her mouth in disbelief.
"I can help too!" Wendy said firmly, looking at Lucy and then at Allen.
Allen nodded in approval. Feeling happy, Wendy unleashed her support magic at full strength. "Arms! Vernier! Armor!"
The speed, defense, and attack of Taurus and Leo increased. With this, along with the power of the bracelet, they could face Angel on equal footing.
"This is a lie..." Angel felt cornered. She already had no hope of defeating Allen, and now with Lucy fielding two spirits wielding the power of an S-Class Mage, she was against the ropes.
But this wasn't the end!
"Hahaha," Angel laughed. It wasn't a laugh of amusement or madness, but of despair. "This world is disgusting. I can't even cleanse it. My entire existence is disgusting..."
"Angel Magic! Barbiel!"
From a magic circle, a bearded "angel" wielding a spear appeared.
"Caelus!"
Another "angel" with wings capable of flight emerged.
"Raziel!"
Once again, an "angel" appeared, this one wielding magical books.
"Ibariel!"
Lastly, an "angel" with a whip was summoned.
Angel laughed with empty eyes as black spots appeared on her body—the price of summoning so many spirits at once. "This is the beauty beyond the filth of this world!"
Angel had lost all faith in humanity after seeing only its ugliness. She hated mankind, believed it filthy, and by consequence hated herself as well. Thus, she didn't hesitate to use even her own life to summon her most powerful weapons: the angels.
"Angels, huh..." said a voice, interrupting the entire scene and casting silence. Of course, these beings were not real angels, just a creation of her magic.
Angel opened her eyes in disbelief. Her angels now lay fallen around her, destroyed in an instant by the man before her.
She couldn't believe it—in a single instant, her magic was reduced to dust.
"You..." Angel couldn't finish her words before Allen's hand extended toward her. She closed her eyes, trembling, expecting to be struck—just as she had been countless times in the Tower of Heaven—but instead she felt a warm hand on her cheek.
When she opened her eyes, she found a kind face and a sincere smile.
"Girl, don't waste your life. The world isn't as bad as you think—you just haven't seen it yet..."
"...!" Angel trembled as tears welled in her eyes.
The spots on Angel's body and face were being restored by the Dunamis Demiurgos, the girl thought she saw wings on his back for a moment.
Allen sighed and gently patted her head. It was a pity, but suffering as a child didn't absolve her of all the crimes she had committed.
"I suppose I'll have a new maid..."
Angel, whose real name was Sorano Agria, stopped enjoying the sensation on her head and opened her eyes.
"Huh?"
Lucy chuckled helplessly. "There goes another one..."
Wendy tilted her head in confusion, while Carla cursed Allen under her breath.
....
Despite the outcome of Lucy and Wendy's battle against Angel, things weren't the same elsewhere.
With Laxus, the situation was the opposite.
Racer panted, covered in bruises and burns from electricity.
"What a tough guy..." Racer muttered.
– "You're too slow..."
Racer clenched his teeth, remembering Laxus's words again, as if his past was returning to him.
His real name was Sawyer. Like Sorano, he had come out of the Tower of Heaven broken. He remembered those days when he tried to escape, only to be caught and beaten. Sawyer had an obsession with speed because even now, he felt that if he was too slow, they would catch him. But this time he had faced a terrifying opponent. Against Laxus, the fastest Dragon Slayer, it came down to landing one decisive hit—desperate, Racer resorted to the power Brain had given him, and with it managed to defeat Laxus.
"What do you think? Do you still believe I'm slow?!"
Racer panted as he mocked Laxus, who lay stretched out on the ground.
Laxus had given him a fierce battle and nearly defeated him, having discovered that Racer wasn't truly fast but instead used magic that slowed everything around him.
Racer looked up at the sky. "I will never be caught..."
....
On another battlefield, Cobra looked with disdain at Natsu, who was buried in a rock.
"What's wrong with this guy? Ugh..." Cobra looked at his burned arm.
"Are you alright, Erik?" asked Cubellios to Cobra.
"Yeah, but this guy was stronger than I thought. It wasn't supposed to be like this, the information Brain had about Fairy Tail was wrong..." Cobra turned and looked at the colossus. Then he clicked his tongue and prepared to leave.
"Shouldn't you rest?"
Cubellios glanced at Cobra's arm. He had been injured by the colossus, and now it was worse after Natsu's flames.
"There's no time, that monster could kill Brain..." Cobra stopped and turned toward Natsu. "Impossible, after receiving my enhanced poison you should be dead. Why can I still hear you?"
....
Gajeel laughed like crazy, his body covered in wounds, but he didn't stop attacking Hoteye.
"What's wrong?! Is that all?!"
Hoteye felt pressured. Clearly, he was stronger than Gajeel, and clearly, only Gajeel was the one suffering from wounds, but he didn't fall. Instead, he attacked with even greater force.
"Work without pay is worthless! But I will defeat you, Gajeel Redfox!"
Hoteye poured his magic power into the ground and began to manipulate it. Giant towers of earth emerged, like enormous tentacles, and attacked Gajeel.
"So this is a Saint Wizard?!" Gajeel, feeling pressure similar to his old master, laughed. "That's the spirit!"
Despite his words, he knew his body was badly injured. The blows of dozens of tons of rocks and sand at high speed were no joke. While dodging, Gajeel pulled out a red potion and drank it before Hoteye's bewildered eyes.
"What are you doing?!" Hoteye looked in disbelief as Gajeel's wounds disappeared in seconds. "What is that?! And more importantly, how much is it worth?!"
Gajeel didn't answer. Instead, he attacked again.
....
"I–Impossible..." said Midnight on the ground with a sword pierced into his stomach.
"It's reality..." said Erza, looking at him without expression.
Her hair still shone with the scarlet glow, her body wrapped in a dense aura of magic. Allen hadn't given her a method to defeat Midnight; the aura only increased Erza's strength to match a Saint Wizard. How she defeated him was entirely her own merit.
Midnight, whose real name was Macbeth, couldn't understand. He was supposed to have escaped pain, escaped that hell in the Tower of Heaven. He was supposed to be able to sleep without fear. But now here he was, feeling pain again, dying, while Erza barely had a few scratches from spatial distortions.
"It wasn't supposed to be like this..." murmured Midnight.
Erza deactivated the power of the bracelet and her hair and eyes returned to normal.
"Perhaps you suffered trauma from the past, but that doesn't justify what you did. You won't die. I avoided your vital organs, but you'll end up in prison..." Erza turned and began walking back toward Allen.
"It's all Jellal's fault!" growled Midnight in pain.
Erza stopped in her tracks and looked at him with surprise, realizing the true identities of the members of Oración Seis.
"I'm sorry..."
Erza knew it wasn't her fault, but even so, she also knew that if she had dared to confront Jellal earlier, many lives could have been saved.
....
"Ahh!" Gray shouted before crashing into a wall and spitting blood.
All the floor and walls were covered with broken ice, a witness to the battle that took place here.
"Damn it..." growled Brain. Even though he was winning the fight against Gray, he felt heavy seeing the second mark on his forehead vanish, meaning another member of Oración Seis had fallen.
"You look scared... Don't worry about Allen, I'll defeat you," said Gray mockingly as he barely managed to stand up.
"Idiot!" Brain used gravity magic to crush Gray against the floor. "I'm not afraid of Allen Walker!"
Brain felt a strange chill down his spine. No matter how much he thought about how to defeat Allen, the only solution he could come up with was to use Nirvana. However, Gray didn't even let him activate the device.
"Gray Fullbuster... according to my information, you shouldn't be this strong... As expected, it's all Allen Walker's fault..."
Brain continued attacking Gray, but Gray refused to fall.
....
Allen grabbed his forehead. As expected, only Erza and Lucy had used the bracelet.
He knew none of them would willingly use that power, but at this rate, they would die.
– "Natsu, Gray, Gajeel, Laxus... that's enough!"
The telepathic message reached the four of them, making them tremble.
– "They are fighting using devil power right now. You can't win, period. Stop acting tough and use the bracelets. If you're defeated, I assure you I'll use you as guinea pigs for a month!"
Allen felt the activation of the bracelets and smiled.
This world was being manipulated by Lucifer, so Allen thought he might as well do the same.
....
Cobra looked with disdain at Natsu, but just as he prepared to finish him off, a flame appeared floating in front of him. The flame took the shape of a flower, glowing blue.
[Heavenly Fire Lotus]
Natsu smiled and bit into the Fire Lotus, swallowing it. An explosion of fire pushed Cobra far away, and the ground began to melt around Natsu.
"What did you do, Salamander?!"
....
With Laxus, it was similar. A purple lightning bolt appeared before him, enclosed in a crystal sphere. It struggled desperately to escape.
[Tribulation Lightning]
"I don't like the idea..." said Laxus before breaking the sphere, grabbing the lightning, and swallowing it.
Racer tried to stop him with his speed, but it was too late. Once he appeared to attack, he realized Laxus was no longer there. A chill ran down Racer's spine as a shadow moved faster than he.
....
Gajeel stopped his attacks. In his hand appeared a piece of metal, simple in appearance but imbued with enormous, inexplicable power.
"This is also magic?" said Gajeel, sweat rolling down his cheek.
[Legendary Forging Metal, Uru]
"Tsk, if I die, I'll come back just to get revenge on Allen!"
Gajeel clicked his tongue before biting into the metal. To his surprise, he couldn't even break it. That had never happened before. Shocked, Gajeel decided to swallow the metal directly. His body began to be covered by a dull metallic layer that soon filled with Asgardian runes.
"...!" Hoteye, sensing mortal danger, attacked Gajeel with giant spears made from the manipulated ground. They struck Gajeel, but he simply stared at his hands and body, ignoring the attack.
Hoteye took advantage of this arrogance, and the attacks hit Gajeel. For a moment, Hoteye thought he had won, but the next second, his face went pale as he saw Gajeel smiling, completely unharmed.
"Kekeke... you said you were a Saint Wizard, right?"
"...!"
...
Allen laughed. "These bracelets didn't grant power directly. Instead, they responded to the user's needs, creating 'something' they required."
Lucy, Wendy, and Carla exchanged glances. Lucy, who had used that power, hadn't realized its true nature, thinking it was just a magical power.
Sorano looked at Allen with a mix of emotions. She had been captured, but thinking about it, maybe that was the best outcome, since fighting this monster would only have brought her a miserable death.
"Allen..." Erza landed a few steps away and threw herself into Allen's arms.
"Looks like you won..." said Allen, stroking Erza's head.
"Yes... but I'm hurt, I want you to comfort me..."
Lucy wanted to curse. Erza pointed at a small scratch on her cheek—one she could've easily healed with a red potion—but she had deliberately left it as an excuse to be pampered. Lucy regretted not having done the same.
Albedo – Clever fox... maybe I should try it too.
Rebecca – Stop. If you hurt yourself on purpose, he'll really get mad.
Harley – Speaking from experience, it's better to just ask Daddy for attention.
Bocchi – Allen never refuses cuddles if you ask~
Rukia – Oh~ how interesting~
Akeno – Ufufu, it seems someone already confirmed that~
Bocchi – It's not like that! N-no, it's not true!
....
Allen decided that defeating Brain wasn't as important as rewarding Erza for her effort. So, in front of all the girls, he kissed Erza.
She was surprised but immediately responded. It was a passionate kiss, their tongues intertwining. Lucy opened her mouth and pointed angrily at the act.
"Don't look, Wendy!" Carla covered Wendy's eyes, but even she was embarrassed.
As for Sorano, she stared dazedly at Allen's shamelessness. "Pervert..." she muttered, averting her gaze, though still peeking from the corner of her eye.
No one in the chat could believe how shameless Allen was. While his companions were risking their lives fighting Saint Wizards, Allen was openly kissing Erza. But Allen proved there was always room to be even more shameless.
He let go of Erza, who now had a flushed face and a dazed look. She stepped back and sat on the floor.
Satisfied that his kissing skills were so devastating to a girl with little experience, Allen turned toward Lucy.
Lucy paled. "Hey, don't tell me—"
"I'm a fair man. It would be too cruel to leave you just as a spectator, wouldn't it, Lucy?"
Allen pulled her into his arms. This dominant action made Sorano swallow hard and Wendy's head emit steam.
Lucy struggled to break free but couldn't. She looked at Allen with pleading eyes. "At least could you wait until we're back home?"
"No..."
Allen kissed her selfishly, immediately slipping his tongue in while hugging her tighter. Lucy quickly melted and returned the kiss, forgetting they were being watched.
Sorano cursed Allen inwardly, regretting that now, having fallen into his hands, she had no idea what fate awaited her.
– "Don't waste your life, girl..."
Sorano felt deceived. For a moment, she had believed she had met a true angel. But it had all been a scam.
"Mm~ wait~ Hmm~"
Unconsciously, Sorano touched her lips.
