"Damned party. It better end quickly so I could leave," Edric was set to take a flight home that night.
Sometimes, Edric wondered what he was working so hard for. He had all the money he needed. He had proven what he could do to those who thought he was nothing but a rich kid. And he had a lovely wife at home.
'Maybe I should just let Leo manage everything,' Edric pondered over it, and it wondered why he didn't think about it much earlier.
If he did, he wouldn't be attending a party now. Instead, he would be with Loreen at a romantic island where they could have some quality time together.
'Yes, that's it. It's time to retire so I can have more time with her.'
He was just 30, but so what? He had work tirelessly for years. It was time to give himself a break. He deserved it after all this time.
He knew Loreen was lonely when he was not at home too. Once he retires, he could be with her as much as she wanted.
