Third Person POV

Once the teens got back to Berk, all they saw was chaos. Dragons were stealing anything they could get their claws on. People's clothing ripped from clotheslines, food taken from wheelbarrows, livestock chased around the streets, and whatever else dragons do.

"Well, isn't that something?" Kaarik chuckled slightly before witnessing some dragons crash into each other.

"Well, to be fair, they're still wild animals." Helga said as they watched another dragon barrel roll into a cart.

"Really? Huh, I hadn't noticed." Kaarik nodded sarcastically.

This caused Helga to give him a sharp side-eye before they continued their talk. While they talked, they noticed dragons flying across the village until they heard someone yell.

"Dragon droppings!"

Looking up, the teens see a multitude of dragons beginning to fly over the village. Immediately, all the teens scrambled off their dragons before running for cover. When they finally got to cover, they breathed a sigh of relief.

"Agh! Sick!" Snotlout shouted as they all witnessed dragon feces smack straight into someone's face.

"I think I'm going to puke…" Fishlegs gagged as he held his stomach with a look of disgust.

"Haha! That is awesome!" Tuffnut and Ruffnut laughed as they pointed to the unfortunate Viking.

Meanwhile, Kaarik's face also contorted in disgust as dragon poop landed next to him.

"That's nasty…"

After the whole dragon fiasco that morning, the villagers began immediate repairs. Meanwhile, Stoick began stocking the storehouse.

"The fishing boats just got back with a tremendous catch. You and you go clear out more room to store more food. You go place the mutton in the back." Stoick barked.

"Stoick!" Someone shouted from behind.

As Stoick turned around to see who it was, he saw a decrepit old man shouting as he approached him.

"Ah, Mildew, come to us with the complaint of the day, have you?" Gobber huffed as both he and Stoick turned toward the old man.

"I don't have time for this today, Mildew. I'm in the middle of storing food for the coming winter." Stoick told him.

"It's these damned dragons. Those creatures are meant to live among civilized Vikings!"

"Neither are you, Mildew. Did you think we built your house way on the outskirts of town for nothing?‌" Gobber jabbed.

"Oh, go ahead, make your jokes. Meanwhile, these dragons are tearing our village apart, turning everyone's houses into piles of rubble!" He shouted, spreading his arms in exaggeration.

"He's right!" One Viking yelled as a mass crowd formed in front of the storehouse.

"These are untamed wild beasts! They need to be caged!" Milew yelled as the crowd grew more unruly.

Jumping in front of her father, Helga tried to calm the people down. Kaarik was not too far behind as he joined her side at a leisurely pace.

"They don't mean us any harm. Yes, they are wild animals, but that also means we have a responsibility to learn to coexist with them." She reasoned.

"Look, Mildew, if there's a problem, then I'll deal with it." Stoick stated.

"Oh, there is a problem, alright. And I think I speak for us all when I say you'd better do something about it."

As Mildew left in a huff, the crowd's shouts grew louder, expressing their displeasure with the state of the village.

"Creepy old bat. Can't I zap 'em with lightning?" Kaarik grinned, raising his hand as electricity danced between his fingers.

"I'd love to see that. Haha!" Gobber laughed, only for Stoick to glare at him briefly, causing him to cough awkwardly.

"Helga, Kaarik, do something about these dragons. And do it before the village starts hunting them." Stoick ordered before going back to his business.

Kaarik's POV

"Well, this sucks." After Mildew's rant about the dragons yesterday, Stoick tasked Helga and me with looking for a way to control the dragons before the village started killing them… again.

And now here I was with the rest of our group on one of the village watchtowers, watching as Helga went through with a plan of her own. To be honest, it was really working out for her… I guess.

She stood in the center of the village as we all watched her march towards a Deadly Nadder that was harassing a woman. The Nadder kept pecking at the woman, attempting to steal some of her food.

Quickly approaching the dragon, she placed her hand on its snout, trying to calm it down. She failed miserably. Out of nowhere, a swarm of chickens ran by, causing the Nadder to push her away and give chase, uncaring of the destruction it left behind.

I watch her weave through the chaos, attempting to stop the surrounding dragons while Toothless is trying to break up a dragon fight. A few minutes later, we all watch as she chases trying to put out a sheep that somehow, someway, caught fire.

"Just pure chaos." I sighed while leaning against a pillar of the tower.

"What is she doing?" Snotlout said in a confused tone.

"The best she can…" I replied.

"Should we help her?" Fishlegs asked the group.

"Eh, in a minute." Tuffnut giggled.

"And… It's 3 o'clock." Astrid sighed as we watched everyone not under a roof get pelted with dragon poop.

The next day, Helga had gathered us all up and had us meet at the arena.

"So, how did that talk with your dad go?" I asked Helga.

"Eh~, it went… well?"

"So, not at all?"

"I'm working on it."

"So why did you call us to the arena?" Astrid questioned as we were all gathered in a circle.

"Because I thought, what better way to get the dragons under control than learning how to train and get along with them." She replied.

"Training… the dragons?" Ruffnut scoffed.

"Where we used to… You know, kill them." Tuffnut added.

"Exactly, because we don't do that anymore, now do we?" Helga responded as she set a basket on the ground.

"That may be, but our dragons don't seem like they like this place very much." Snotlout snorted as he comforted a scared-looking Hookfang.

"Yeah, Helga, dragons are very sensitive to this kind of stuff." Fishlegs added as he pet Meatlug.

"Can we hurry? Indra starts shocking me with electricity if he hasn't eaten in a while." I told them, glancing toward my dragon lying outside the arena's entrance.

"Bloodthirsty killer…" Indra only snorted out a puff of smoke in response.

"It's kind of cool that your dad just gave us the arena to use." Astrid laughed as she walked toward Helga.

"Yeah, about that… I'm kind of, sort of… going behind his back to do this." She quickly sputtered out.

"And there it is." I sighed, placing a hand on my face.

"Just listen for a moment. The dragons are out of control. Mildew wants all our dragons caged, possibly even killed… I don't know about you, but I'll be damned if that were to happen." She exclaimed as she clenched her fists.

Everyone else besides me looked at her, her words hanging in the air as they all understood the weight of what was going to happen if we couldn't resolve this crisis.

"That's a nice plan and all… but I don't think we have time for this right now." I sighed.

"And you have a better plan?" Ruffnut asked as she crossed her arms while pointing a finger at me.

"Look, guys, we're running out of time. Sure, we could teach the villager to tame dragons, but that's going to take way too long. So, how about this? Indra will get the dragons that are running amok under control. After that, we'll use the dragons to help the villagers, showing them they can do more good than harm?"

"That actually doesn't sound like a bad idea." Fishlegs said.

"Yeah, good thinking, Kaarik." Astrid added.

"I could've come up with something like that…" Snotlout scoffed.

"Then why didn't you?" Ruffnut snickered.

"Well… because… uh… Shut it, twin!"

"Alright, gang, looks like we've got a plan." Helga said, clasping her hands together.

"Good. You guys get ready. Once I give the signal, take your dragons and round up the dragons that are stunned before moving on to the second phase of our plan." I told them.

"And what is the signal?" Tuffnut asked.

"You'll know when you hear it." I grinned.

"Dragons running amok, as usual." I chuckled lightly to myself.

The townspeople were becoming increasingly frustrated with the dragons, and with Mildew fanning the flames, I worry they might revert to how we previously dealt with the dragons. Standing in the middle of the town, Indra was at my side as we watched the surrounding chaos.

"Well, no time to dilly-dally." Giving Indra a look, I gestured toward the dragons.

Groaning, Indra rose onto his hind legs, inhaling deeply before letting loose a deafening roar. It felt like the whole town froze in that moment. Every dragon that heard his roar stopped in its tracks.

"Good boy. With the dragons incapacitated at the moment, we can—" Before I could finish, I heard an explosion not too far away from us.

Immediately, I jumped onto Indra's back as we took off toward the explosion. By the time I arrived a few moments later, I saw that something had blown the entire storehouse to smithereens.

Squinting at the scene, I already had my guess about who caused this. As we landed, I saw the others had already flown their dragons this way and were inspecting the damage.

"Gather anything that's survived the explosion!" Stoick shouted as he lifted a charred plank and threw it aside.

"It was those dragons!" Mildew shouted as he appeared out of nowhere.

"Mildew…" Helga groaned.

"I warned you, and now look! We've got no food for the winter thanks to those beasts!" Mildew shouted as the villagers began to yell in protest.

"This isn't the dragons' fault! We had a plan, we were—" Helga began before Stoick interrupted.

"Not now, Helga. I need to think about how we're going to replace the food that was destroyed."

"Can't you see this is the dragon's fault?! We need to send them away now!" Mildew screamed.

"Hold it! No dragons were near the storehouse. Indra made sure of that. Indra's roar incapacitated almost every dragon in town before the storehouse blew up. So how could a dragon have done this?" I said to the people as they began murmuring among themselves.

"Well, obviously you missed one." Mildew sneered.

"Oh yeah? And what dragon on Berk currently has the firepower to blow up the whole storehouse in one shot? Our dragons were near us, so it couldn't have been one of them. And the dragons running around weren't even nearby. And I didn't see any dragons flying away when the storehouse got blown up." I said, narrowing my eyes at him.

"Wha… I… Are you accusing me?!"

"I never said that."

"You little-"

"Enough! Both of you! We don't have time for this." Stoick grunted.

"Dad… just let us try. Give us one more chance to prove dragons can help." Helga pleaded.

Stoick paused as he exhaled deeply.

"One more chance, but that's it." He said before turning to leave.

"Those dragons are going to be gone if it's the last thing I- AAAAAAH!" Mildew tried to threaten, but I quickly shut him up by zapping him with electricity.

"I know, shocking, isn't it?" I laughed before the others, and I flew off.

"Mildew… that slimy old man is definitely the one behind the destruction of the storehouse. I just can't prove it…" I sighed as I lay down on Indra's back.

"Well, there's no time to think about that now. We need to think of something else. Any ideas?" Helga asked.

"Let's just continue with the original plan of helping the villagers." I told them.

"And how would we go about doing that, Mr. Lightning Man?" Tuffnut asked while waving his arms around exaggeratedly.

"By using the dragons to perform manual labor." I proposed.

"So you want to put our dragons to work?" Snotlout scoffed.

"Any of you got any other ideas?"

No one said anything.

Third Person POV

It had been about a week, and the transition of dragons helping the Vikings had been going smoothly. Kaarik kept a close watch on Mildew and would stop him if he tried anything, so everything was going as planned.

Besides all that, Stoick has asked the teens to meet him in the arena to give his final verdict about the dragon. When the teens had arrived, almost the entire village was there.

"Well, I'll say that we've done a pretty good job." Helga said, leaning over to Kaarik as she proudly watched all the dragons helping around the village.

"Indeed, ya'll have." A voice called out from behind them.

Stoick stood behind them, Gobber next to him, as he began to walk around to the front of them all.

"I want to congratulate you on solving the dragon problem. I couldn't be prouder of you, of all of you. That's why I'm giving you this. The Dragon Train Academy."

"Woah."

"Awesome."

"Cool."

The group cheered as they.

"Good work, Helga. You too, boy." With that said, Stoick left.

"Well, that was something. Indra and I are going to go flying for a bit. Wanna join?" Kaarik asked Helga.

"You bet! Toothless!" She called out before climbing onto the dragon and dashing off.

"Oh, no you don't!" Kaarik quickly jumped onto Indra as he set out after her.
