Hokkaido is a place with many islands, where the fishing and tourism industries are flourishing.
The coast along the eastern Nemuro Peninsula is a major fishing area in Hokkaido; its waters are home to various fish species, boasting vast fishing grounds and abundant fishery resources.
And among the islands in the sea east of the Nemuro Peninsula.
Locals call this place "Little Port," where there's a small-scale pier, and sometimes fishing boats come and dock.
Centered around the fishing pier, Little Port Island has scattered houses and facilities, but that's about it.
The island is sparsely populated, and at night, apart from the pier and lighthouse lights, there is little illumination elsewhere.
